Very clean. Nice polite helpful staff
Bathroom had a plumbing issue Staff offered a room move .. but I couldn’t be bothered.
We loved the hotel. It's designed by a famous architect and has been recently renovated. It's beautiful. The rooms are spacious and have an incredible view. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious!
Everything was perfect
Wow! Stunning property in a beautiful location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Huge rooms with a view over the jungle. Greeted with fresh fruit smoothie on arrival and so well taken care of throughout our stay. The property is up in the hills ~which is what we wanted but bare this in mind as to go anywhere you would need to get a tuk tuk or a taxi which we didn't mind for the beauty of the place and only cost 200SLR or approx 80p to get into town. Huge beautiful rooms in a well maintained and clean hotel. A light breakfast of smoothie, fresh fruit, eggs and toast was included - all cooked fresh and delicious. Upon request Rowan even assisted us in getting train tickets and arranged a driver to get us to the station on time.
The ONLY thing we were a little disappointed by was the lack of hot water in the showers - Sri Lanka is hot enough for it not to be an issue but it would have made it a 10/10 to have been able to have had a nice hot shower! However for the price we paid, to the service we received, the location, cleanliness and food it really was only a tiny blot on the otherwise perfect experience.
Staff were very friendly, efficient and obliging. The Sri Lankan food was excellent and varied. Sleep quality was very good. Toilets also good with hot water shower coming online quickly. Love the fact that it is a homely and cozy place. Love the Grecian design feel. The swing in the back garden.
Wi-fi signal needs to be boosted to cover all areas. Owner has guaranteed he will do this soon. I wish some of the smaller trees, vines could be trimmed so that the views could be even better than they already are.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The manager dropped us at downtown and even did a short city tour for us. The design of the entire place is quite remarkable and it´s perfect for relaxing and as a base for sightseeing.
Everything was great. Nothing to complain.
