The location was great, close to everything which made our stay easy. It also had 2 restaurants downstairs so had plenty of options for food and drinks..
We had a few little issues with our room and a staff member not doing anything when we told him. However, when we spoke to the owner he was great, had everything sorted for us and was super easy to deal with. Would definitely stay again.
Location, staff was nice. Bed was comfy.
The blinds did not block much of the light shining right outside our room keeping me up most the night. The shower was small, the shower head was leaking in more than one spot, and it wouldn't keep a consistent temperature. Every few minutes it would shoot boiling hot then few seconds later go colder than before. It would have made a huge difference if I could just have a relaxing shower that could hold a temperature.
Rooms were quaint. The building itself is located in a prime area on the strip in Jasper. There's a bar attached on one side and the restaurant attached on the other, the food was AMAZING! It was the best tasting food by far I've ever had in Jasper.
There was a very large screen tv in our Mountain view room, which was a plus. However, the remote didn't control the volume. When we asked the front desk for assistance, they offered very little in the way of fixing the problem.
Although official check-in was 16:00, we arrived early in the morning (09:00). Turned out the rooms were ready and it was no problem to use them already. Very friendly check-in staff, who helped us also with directions to the ski area and other stuff. Rooms were clean. Good pillows and bed sheets, coffee machine available. Price okay for what you get.
Bed was a little bit hard, but still okay. I slept well. Quite noisy rooms. Could hear people talking down the corridor. We were told that breakfast would cost $9,95. Not bad, we thought. But that was only for some eggs and toast, nothing else. When I ordered oatmeal, for the very steep price of $16,95, I requested it to be made with milk i.s.o. water... Simple request right? This is something I always do, as I am from Europe where it is always made with milk. I hate it when it's made with water (which is common in the Americas). Every hotel/restaurant I have been so far in the world, made it without any hesitation. So, I was baffled to hear that "it's not the way we make it". Even requesting the owner/manager, adding to it that it's my request as a customer and for 16,95 they could just grant me this little simple and totally uncomplicated request (just use MILK in stead of WATER!!!), I still got to hear "No, the chef makes it with water. If you don't like it, you can chose something else on the menu"... Really rude and unfriendly! Terrible customer service!!! Bye-bye gratuity and tips... Only the waitress I gave some tip, as she did her best and also didn't understand the attitude of the kitchen...
The hotel is very well situated near restaurants, pubs and stores. The front end staff were very friendly. The room we stayed in was small but clean and cozy.
My husband and I stayed only for night so even though the room was small it was fine for a short stay. If we were staying longer we would prefer a room with more space to move around.
