Super 8 By Wyndham Irving Dfw Airport/South

Due to our cancelled AA flight we had to stay overnight in Dallas. We looked for good value hotel near the airport with a free shuttle. This super 8 hit the Mark plus Vivian the quiet but very efficient Vietnamese front desk clerk made the stay great. As many flights were canceled and everyone booking and calling she was very nice and professional to everyone. The super 8 is two star and needs some updating but the staff was five star.

I liked the proximity to the airport. The staff was friendly. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The courtesy van to the airport was a plus. Breakfast was good. It consisted of coffee, tea, orange juice, oatmeal, toast, fruit, waffles, cinnamon buns etc. They also have vending machines but they dont take cards only bills.

I didnt like the location to much. Even thou it was close to the Airport, McDonalds, Red Lobster and other eating establishments, it wasnt the safest. The safety sheet in the room also confirmed that. Glad they have it thou. You can walk to the stores just have to be careful and preferably during daytime. I also didnt like that there wasnt a fridge or microwave in the room. I didnt like that they didnt mention the menus they have by the computer terminal, it would have saved me a trip to get food. I noticed them as I was checking out. They do have a room service menu in the room but it was a bit expensive. The facility is dated, as well as the furniture. It is clean, but it has a musty air to it. Could use better ventilation.

It was a very convenient location to DFW Airport

I had a pet room which meant not having a refrigerator or a coffee maker. This didn’t make sense when you are paying $15 dollars extra a night for having a pet to get less than other rooms
