Pros: The location was quite close to the centre. WiFi was okay. Showers were warm and the beds were comfortable and clean.
Cons: The rooms were quite run down and very dark. Beds in the dorms didn’t have curtains. Breakfast is very basic (coffee, juice, bread and jam), you pay extra for everything else. Staff weren’t particularly helpful and there are no lockers in the private rooms.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The room.
Cons: One day I couldn’t get a bath because there was not water.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room with aircool and ventilator (which are really necessary in August). The staff was very nice we could leave our bags in the storage room, while away for a tour of few days.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Style, athmosphere, furniture, the library, the room, the food, personnel - in a word everything. This place is a jewel. A place where I could come back a thousant times
Cons: Everything was more than perfect
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Casa Morey, at the banks of Rio Amazona, was perfect. The historic property has everything you'll need at the end of a sticky day in Iquitos AND at the end of your Amazonian adventure. The staff were pleasant and always helpful. Highly recommended!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very well located. Awsome building.
Cons: Our bedroom was facing the main street and was noisy during all the night.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Historical colonial building with a lot of information about its history. Staff are very helpful and food is delicious though a bit pricy comparing with local restaurants.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful historic property. If you like unique stays with charm, this place is for you.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Little luxury by the Amazon Very large room Good AC Pool Good size TV I will book it again
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were enormous and comfortable thanks to air conditioning and vaulted ceilings. We also enjoyed cooling off in the pool. The staff were very helpful in connecting us with our tour group and with providing dining options and city maps. There was also a nice second storey sitting area overlooking the pool.
Cons: Iquitos is a very busy city and the streets surrounding the hotel echo the sounds throughout the night. The hotel was not able to accommodate us to check in even a little earlier and the restaurant was also closed so there was nothing to do but sit and wait - no alternatives were offered.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Charming, well maintained old house on the banks of the river. A piece of Iquitos history!
Cons: Better coffee would mean a lot
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Was reliably picked up from airport even after flight was delayed an hour and I arrived after midnight. The breakfast was ample and varied. Room was clean, spacious and cool. There was even hot water in the shower.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I absolutely loved staying at this property! The best thing for me was staying in an old rubber baron's mansion, it felt like going back in time to the days of the Amazon rubber boom. The public areas were stunning, and I particularly liked the library and its evoking of a by-gone era. I stayed here on two separate occasions, and had two different rooms - both were very very spacious and comfortable. They were also very quiet as they did not have external windows. The restaurant is also top-notch, serving excellent food, and the staff serving food there were great.
Cons: The gentleman on reception could do with smiling a bit more. He was helpful in answering my questions and meeting my requests, but seems to be of the "service without a smile" type - I'm not sure this felt very welcoming.

7,5 Good
Pros: We had a huge bed (ask room 508), the room was very quiet, which is rare in Iquitos. Good location, nice swimming pool. Very clean.
Cons: The laundry service’s price is outrageous !! We paid 177 soles for a few T-shirts and underwear. The same amount of clothes was washed for 15 soles in the city laundry... Avoid the restaurant as well, expensive and not good.
7,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was expensive, and the bed was hard as a rock

7,9 Good
Pros: The Nativa Apartments met our travel needs and the staff was very friendly. We could have used a softer pillow option, but overall were comfortable in our space.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: Everything, best place in Iqitos.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was professional, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was not included. But room was comfortable and nicely decorated. Laundry services are available for an additional (reasonable) cost -- a BIG PLUS after coming back from a 3-day eco-lodge tour in the Amazon!
Cons: It would have been helpful and convenient to have breakfast included with the cost of the room. But there was a nice cafe' located within 5 minutes walking distance from the property, so it was not too much of a problem.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Monica, the owner gave us valuable advises how to find bakery few blocks away and directions to the best fish restaurant in Iquitos.
Cons: There was noise in the room with windows to the street. Motocarros were cruising up to midnight, but we slept well. The WiFi was slow.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: From the minute we arrived Monica welcomed us with open arms. She also assisted prior to check in with arranging a trip to the Amazon river and was always prompt in her responses. Very helpful and knowledgeable. The team at Nativa was friendly and nothing was too much effort. The room was spacious, clean and the AC was really welcome in the heat. A very nice little restaurant , La Mona was just around the corner for breakfast.
Cons: Nothing to mention.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Monica, the owner, gave us lots of useful advices/tips on traveling in Iquitos.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the location, quiet yet within walking distance of the center of town. Friendly staff, clean and well appointed room, and plenty of hot water!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nativa apartments are well located and very clean. The air conditioning is a blessing as it was super hot in Iquitos! Monica was so helpful and really friendly. The kitchenette was well equipped and was handy to have a good fridge.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Monika, the owner, welcomed me very recently and helped me with the booking of the jungle lodge (Muyuna Lodge, highly recommended!) and other activities. She knows a lot of people and has given me private tours; by the way, without her earning it herself. It is simply a big concern to her that her guests are doing well. I was 10 days in the apartment and felt very well and cared for. But also her employees are very friendly. There is a warm atmosphere. Around the corner is a great cafe, where you can eat breakfast.
4,2 Okay
Pros: anything
Cons: The owner told us that is not profitable to stay for one night for her. When we apologize for stay one night she said she don't our apologies because it doesn't work for her
Hotel La Casona - Iquitos - Lobby

Overview Reviews

2,8 Mediocre
Pros: Very uncomfortable room. Front door didn't lock and toilet was clogged. Random furniture in rooms made no sense.
Cons: Could've been better in every way.
San Pedro Lodge - Iquitos
6
8,5 Excellent (58 reviews)
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The setting of the lodge is brilliant, so beautiful. There is a lagoon where you can swim in the river which is lovely. The staff are really friendly. The food is great, free drinking water all the time. I slept really well listening to the jungle. I didn't get bit too many times. It's a very relaxing lovely lodge to stay in, rustic and basic with no electricity in the huts which added to the charm.
Cons: Every day trip involves going back to iquitos and a tuck tuck drive through iquitos to get to the amazon River. You might like it. I hate cities.
7,9 Good
Pros: I loved the property and it was exactly what I was expecting in terms of facilities. Please let’s not forget that you are in the jungle after all. Electricity shuts off at 8:30 and you do not have it all day long, but after all... you did not come to stay connected to technology, did you? I liked that all the huts have mosquito nets and even the bed has a sort of protective tent mosquitos and other insects. All meals were excelente and Mrs. Esther is a fantastic chef. Olmes, Teo and Walter are amazing hosts and made sure each guest had a great staying. Feel free to ask them any questions, but keep in mind that English is nobody’s plus there! The Lodge has also a mascot, her name is Susi, and she is a stray dog. It is incredible how intelligent and protective she is with all the guests (she sleeps in front of the guests’ huts in the night, and joins themfor walks at the shop).
Cons: They should have more table games and interactive games for guests, as there is not much to do around!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The San Pedro Lodge is the perfect place to relax within the Amazonian jungle. The staff is amazing and will take you around for sunset tours on the lagoon, fishing trips, tell you about the vegetation and help with arranging tours to the jungle or monkey island. Have even seen pink and grey amazonian dolphins on this trip. Every pick up and drop off was perfectly on time and well organised (about 45min total from airport to lodge) Food is really good and will be served three times a day. The huts have basic bathrooms and the beds and bungalows are equipped with mosquito nets. Bring your sunscreen, mosquito repellent, some Spanish ;), a torch or candles and a book to enjoy your stay to the fullest. We had an amazing time and been happy to stay. Thank's to Olmes and the team for everything!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: My stay at San Pedro lodge was wonderful. Food was excellent. I was on diet and owner cooked special diet food for me. Property has 2 dug out canoe and host let you use it in the natural laguna next to property. Very good perk.
Cons: Beds are too firm. Bathroom sink had soap scum from previous guests. Path walk to the hut I stayed in needs reinforcement as it gets very muddy during rain.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All staff at the lodge are friendly, accommodating, helpful respectful and happy. The accommodation is what we would have expected in the Amazon forest..all our needs were meet over and beyond expectations, we are very happy with San Pedro Lodge. We were sad to leave such a beautiful place today and the lovely people there . we will visit again in the future.
Cons: N/A
7,9 Good
Pros: The location was just what I needed after a long jungle retreat. Silence, serenity and pure nature. The staff was amazing with accommodating me with my food restrictions, organizing a trip to the jungle and getting me to an ATM, which needed a drive with their boat across the river. Olmes, the owner, has a great driver who can pick you up or drive you straight to the airport. Always on time I have to add! All meals are basic and exactly what I needed. Beds are comfy and clean. Changed last minute to a tambo near the water which gave me a beautiful view of the water. Thank you!!
Cons: I am aware operating a lodge in the jungle is difficult because it requires a constant upkeep due to the very fast rate at which everything decays. Also that this is not a 150$ a night lodge. Nevertheless less I wish they would put some more effort into maintaining the place because it’s such an amazing location. In one of the Bungalows there was standing water because a heavy Rain shower leaked some water through the beautiful organic roof. Be careful also when walking down the wooden stairs which become very slippery when wet.
7,9 Good
Pros: The food served was fantastic, probably the best fish I have ever had. The accommodations were sufficient for how remote this place was. A great place to really reflect.
Cons: Cool showers were not my favorite part, although they were sufficient to rinse the days sweat off.
7,5 Good
Cons: The food is good, but abit poor if you have high metabolism so I bought some fruits as complement. The tours they provide i highly recomend.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This lodge was just what I needed after spending weeks in the jungle. The staff was very helpful, and super friendly. The meals were basic, yet delicious and satisfying. The room I booked looked over the lake, and I truly enjoyed every single minute of it. The jungle tour was amazing, I learned so much about all the medicinal trees and plants. The final day, I went back to Iquitos and the owner brought me to the museum that I really wanted to visit, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend this place to anyone what wants more quietness, and loves to stay close to nature!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Olmes, if there is someone and some place in the whole wide world to mention to the rest of the world, than it is you and your place!!!!!! Another word for your place should be peace, another word for you should be grace. Thank you olmes , thank you “ferryman”, thank you cooking woman… for what you have given to me!!!!! bungalow with view to the river, canu for sliding on the river, so good food, …. taking me to the hospital every day!!!! … all that was making me happy in its great simplicity. I did not take any of the tours which are offered (due to my bad leg) but I am sure they where great.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff
Cons: No TV in the room
8,3 Excellent

Cons: The toilet wasn’t very clean
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice people work in here.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place, very good communication, really happy.
4,2 Okay
Pros: If you kind of laid back and do not care where you stay, it is ok.
Cons: It was noisy - the room was next to tuk tuk station. I used earplugs - but when they restart at 5, nothing is going to help! It was also all dirty with mattresses looking gross and pillow also looked like it survived a flood. Breakfast was late: it is supposed to be at 8, but the staff just went out shopping at that time. The night before I said I am leaving on tour the next morning around 8.15. My watch disappeared in the place which the staff just shrugged the shoulders when I asked if someone found it in the bathroom. It is not a place to feel welcomed when you are on a long travels - it is more a place to crash and get out.
4,2 Okay
Cons: Seriously that room right next to the street should not have been rented out at all!! Cancelled my next booking first thing in the morning. You would have to pay me to go for another sleepless night.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was truly amazing!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff si the best!

Pros: Walter, the executive producer of Fitzccaraldo movie is a legend of modern cinema. The house witnesses the make of the movie. Claudia, the manager of the hotel is efficient and smiling. The food is great. The whole courtyard is a oasis of silence and relaxation.
Cons: He have spent to little time in Casa Fitzccaraldo.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: That it is a bit out of the city and quiet and peaceful. Owners are very nice, great pool and amazing treehouse
6,7 Good
Pros: The pool is great and the restaurant does great food. This would be a great place to chill out for a few hours in the middle of the day and is definitely worth making an effort to visit for that. It is very quiet.
Cons: The restaurant serves excellent food but closes at 18:30 with the bar closely soon afterwards. The area is not really somewhere to wander around at night looking for a drink so it feels quite isolated staying there. Rooms need a bit of modernisation.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great pool. Amazing history. Very comfortable and clean. The food is outstanding.
Cons: Location is a little far from the centre.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Owner and staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Secluded natural environment with music wafting throughout the grounds. Great dinner and drinks at a good price. We had the “Green Room” which provided plenty of space and light.
Cons: It’s a little far from the center of town, but a cheap ride is easy to come by.
3,3 Mediocre
Cons: The hotel was advised that I was traveling with my three year old. They offered me a free pickup from the airport. The pickup never arrived. In the end there was a guy with an old and unsafe car who took me to the city center where we would meet up with the driver who was supposed to pick us up. Not a great start when traveling with a three year old at night. The hotel is located next to some bars I would not walk into myself. The room was dated and definitely not worth US$120 per night. (no airco, no cable TV, little or no Wifi, bad shower, mosquito netting that does not work, noisy ventilator, etc...)anyway we went to bed and hoped for a better start the next day. We woke up with several mosquito bites, my three year old especially...and went for breakfast. We discovered the gardens a little only to find that with nails sticking out, boards that are loose and unreliable stairs this was not a place where I could let my daughter run around. Breakfast was very disappointing with some eggs and two types of fruit, some watery coffee and juice. When my wife arrived this day (she was also picked up by the hotel but this was never asked for) she did not want to stay at the hotel any longer and I went to speak to the owner. The owner was very rude and unhelpful and it was only after making him understand that I know Peru that he was willing to cancel the second night without any fee. Nevertheless when checking out and paying the bill I found out they charged me both taxis (the one that never showed up and the one never asked for) at a rate of US$10 each!!! On top of this they used an exchange rate that is a robbery on itself. Forget about wanting to stay in a place that has some history or name and do yourself a favor; for less money you can stay in an actual hotel in the city center with a good breakfast, friendly service, clean rooms and good swimming pool. This place is completely overpriced and outdated.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the surroundings staff and general atmosphere, food was delicious. A perfect retreat from the business of Iquitos.
Cons: Nothing, love the atmosphere and place, very relaxing environment.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property, safe and tranquil. Very cute puppy. Nice gardens and pool.
Cons: The room we were given was extremely moody, so much so that I had trouble breathing and we needed to switch rooms. The staff were accommodating tot his request thankfully
5,0 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff and decent breakfast
Cons: Room tired, pool and surrounding area shabby.
6,7 Good
Pros: The staff was really friendly and the food was nice. There were cute dogs around!
Cons: The rooms and the pool area are a bit old and could use some refurbishment. Location is not very central, but to be fair that was advertised before.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious room, good bathroom and shower, working fridge and AC was great, pretty courtyard with Pool good for relaxing. Included airportshuttel also a big plus! :)
Cons: We booked This hotel mainly for the fact that it had a nice Pool we wanted to Hang out at. Unfortunately the day we wanted to swim and relax they started cleaning the Pool so we couldn't use it for 24hrs.. Probably just Bad luck But for us it kinda sucked. We tried and asked If they'd give us a price Reduction But understandably they didn't. The breakfast was okay But we kinda expected more..

Pros: Good location, great staff
Cons: Room was extremely hot with no natural light, A/C didn't work properly, beds were full-size and was expecting queen-size. Breakfast was poor. Didn't offer transfer to or from airport. No safety boxes in room or lobby.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The location is good and friendly staff. This hotel needs renovation, it’s very old and some of the room facilities aren’t working properly. The picture shown on booking doesn’t reflect the reality. It’s absolutely not worth the money spent. I can’t say the room was clean, hair in the shower area, dust on the window and wall sill.
