Pros: Very helpful staff, comfy bed, nice towels, very clean.
Cons: No hot water. Breakfast coffee and juice we're good, but breakfast food was not great.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great stay! Beautiful hostel, with a lovely garden to hang out and relax. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the big fan kept us cool (didn't need to use the airco). You can refill your water bottle for free, so no plastic waste. Also the location is great. Highly recommend this place!
Good 7,5
Cons: Breakfast was very small.
Excellent 9,5
Pros: Place is great, price is great. Nice people. Beds are a little worn, but can't beat price and location. AC super cold also.
Cons: Hot water would have been nice but not necessary.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: There is aircon and a fan for the room. Cold showers needed due to how hot is is there! Comfortable bed. Walking distance to main bars and restaurants.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Really central location Great price for what you get, very clean Staff very helpful and speaks perfect english Communal computer in the lobby and filtered water
Cons: There are no windows in the rooms just windows out to the hallways which can get kinda loud. Wifi was kinda weak
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Staff are friendly and helpful
Cons: not all staff can speak English

Good 6,3
Pros: Old architecture. Thats sll
Cons: Hot water broken poor coffee poor breakfast. Hotel needs complete restoration and upgrade.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Casa Morey, at the banks of Rio Amazona, was perfect. The historic property has everything you'll need at the end of a sticky day in Iquitos AND at the end of your Amazonian adventure. The staff were pleasant and always helpful. Highly recommended!
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Very well located. Awsome building.
Cons: Our bedroom was facing the main street and was noisy during all the night.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: This is a beautiful historic property. If you like unique stays with charm, this place is for you.
Good 6,7
Pros: I choose this hotel due to the history of the building and after 4 days in the Amazon washing in the dirty water from the Amazon river this place had warm clean looking water and a very comfortable bed in a very big room. They supply plenty of bottled water, the hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas. Breakfast was fine, plenty of fruit and other options. The building is interesting to look around, but this is not for those looking for a 4 star experience, it is Iquitos a Amazon frontier town and this hotel has some of that charm.
Cons: Retro fitting a hotel in a historic building always has opportunities, the arched windows over the double door let in a lot of light, the staff were very neutral.
Good 6,3
Pros: Breakfast was only ok, with minimal variety. The room was huge, with an unusually large amount of space and a large amount of natural light. The small pool was a refreshing break from the heat.
Cons: The man at the front desk seemed totally disinterested: he would not speak unless spoken to, he never offered any assistance with the check in, and spent almost all of his time looking at his cell phone. The woman manning the front desk the next mlorning was quite pleasant and helpful. The upstairs corner room is very noisy (street noise) and the bright lights in the adjacent park shine right in the side windows (relatively thin drapes), so it may not be a good choice for light sleepers.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: I absolutely loved staying at this property! The best thing for me was staying in an old rubber baron's mansion, it felt like going back in time to the days of the Amazon rubber boom. The public areas were stunning, and I particularly liked the library and its evoking of a by-gone era. I stayed here on two separate occasions, and had two different rooms - both were very very spacious and comfortable. They were also very quiet as they did not have external windows. The restaurant is also top-notch, serving excellent food, and the staff serving food there were great.
Cons: The gentleman on reception could do with smiling a bit more. He was helpful in answering my questions and meeting my requests, but seems to be of the "service without a smile" type - I'm not sure this felt very welcoming.

Excellent 9,6
Pros: Staff was professional, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was not included. But room was comfortable and nicely decorated. Laundry services are available for an additional (reasonable) cost -- a BIG PLUS after coming back from a 3-day eco-lodge tour in the Amazon!
Cons: It would have been helpful and convenient to have breakfast included with the cost of the room. But there was a nice cafe' located within 5 minutes walking distance from the property, so it was not too much of a problem.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Monica, the owner gave us valuable advises how to find bakery few blocks away and directions to the best fish restaurant in Iquitos.
Cons: There was noise in the room with windows to the street. Motocarros were cruising up to midnight, but we slept well. The WiFi was slow.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: From the minute we arrived Monica welcomed us with open arms. She also assisted prior to check in with arranging a trip to the Amazon river and was always prompt in her responses. Very helpful and knowledgeable. The team at Nativa was friendly and nothing was too much effort. The room was spacious, clean and the AC was really welcome in the heat. A very nice little restaurant , La Mona was just around the corner for breakfast.
Cons: Nothing to mention.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Monica, the owner, gave us lots of useful advices/tips on traveling in Iquitos.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Nativa apartments are well located and very clean. The air conditioning is a blessing as it was super hot in Iquitos! Monica was so helpful and really friendly. The kitchenette was well equipped and was handy to have a good fridge.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Monika, the owner, welcomed me very recently and helped me with the booking of the jungle lodge (Muyuna Lodge, highly recommended!) and other activities. She knows a lot of people and has given me private tours; by the way, without her earning it herself. It is simply a big concern to her that her guests are doing well. I was 10 days in the apartment and felt very well and cared for. But also her employees are very friendly. There is a warm atmosphere. Around the corner is a great cafe, where you can eat breakfast.
Okay 4,2
Pros: anything
Cons: The owner told us that is not profitable to stay for one night for her. When we apologize for stay one night she said she don't our apologies because it doesn't work for her

Excellent 8,8
Pros: Rooms clean bed comfortable.
Cons: Rooms way too much noise , from outside air conditioning. 1st time 2nd front road noise ridiculous.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: It’s a nice modern hotel with A/C which is important in Iquitos. Great location. They stored my language while I was of on a jungle trip.
Cons: The WiFi song nap was weak on the upper floors.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: The room was very big, new furniture, huge bed, nice bathroom and shower. The location is very convenient to the central plaza and restaurants area. The staff was very kind and helpful. It wasn't as loud as we expected at all, was actually ok.
Cons: The breakfast was very poor. The pool was pretty cold so we didn't use it at all. The airport shuttle is only at 4 specific hours a day, so it didn't work for our flights in and out. Wifi didn't work on our floor at all so we had to use the one of the floor below, was very slow to non existent.
Good 7,5
Pros: Good location, nice room. A/C was welcome in the humid weather.
Cons: A little noisy with constant road noise.
Good 7,5
Pros: We had a huge bed (ask room 508), the room was very quiet, which is rare in Iquitos. Good location, nice swimming pool. Very clean.
Cons: The laundry service’s price is outrageous !! We paid 177 soles for a few T-shirts and underwear. The same amount of clothes was washed for 15 soles in the city laundry... Avoid the restaurant as well, expensive and not good.
Good 7,0
Pros: Breakfast was expensive, and the bed was hard as a rock
Good 6,7
Cons: Very noisy area stayed 2 separate nights. 1st-night air conditioning was very noisy.

Excellent 9,2
Pros: The setting of the lodge is brilliant, so beautiful. There is a lagoon where you can swim in the river which is lovely. The staff are really friendly. The food is great, free drinking water all the time. I slept really well listening to the jungle. I didn't get bit too many times. It's a very relaxing lovely lodge to stay in, rustic and basic with no electricity in the huts which added to the charm.
Cons: Every day trip involves going back to iquitos and a tuck tuck drive through iquitos to get to the amazon River. You might like it. I hate cities.
Good 7,9
Pros: I loved the property and it was exactly what I was expecting in terms of facilities. Please let’s not forget that you are in the jungle after all. Electricity shuts off at 8:30 and you do not have it all day long, but after all... you did not come to stay connected to technology, did you? I liked that all the huts have mosquito nets and even the bed has a sort of protective tent mosquitos and other insects. All meals were excelente and Mrs. Esther is a fantastic chef. Olmes, Teo and Walter are amazing hosts and made sure each guest had a great staying. Feel free to ask them any questions, but keep in mind that English is nobody’s plus there! The Lodge has also a mascot, her name is Susi, and she is a stray dog. It is incredible how intelligent and protective she is with all the guests (she sleeps in front of the guests’ huts in the night, and joins themfor walks at the shop).
Cons: They should have more table games and interactive games for guests, as there is not much to do around!
Excellent 8,8
Pros: The San Pedro Lodge is the perfect place to relax within the Amazonian jungle. The staff is amazing and will take you around for sunset tours on the lagoon, fishing trips, tell you about the vegetation and help with arranging tours to the jungle or monkey island. Have even seen pink and grey amazonian dolphins on this trip. Every pick up and drop off was perfectly on time and well organised (about 45min total from airport to lodge) Food is really good and will be served three times a day. The huts have basic bathrooms and the beds and bungalows are equipped with mosquito nets. Bring your sunscreen, mosquito repellent, some Spanish ;), a torch or candles and a book to enjoy your stay to the fullest. We had an amazing time and been happy to stay. Thank's to Olmes and the team for everything!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: All staff at the lodge are friendly, accommodating, helpful respectful and happy. The accommodation is what we would have expected in the Amazon forest..all our needs were meet over and beyond expectations, we are very happy with San Pedro Lodge. We were sad to leave such a beautiful place today and the lovely people there . we will visit again in the future.
Cons: N/A
Good 7,9
Pros: The location was just what I needed after a long jungle retreat. Silence, serenity and pure nature. The staff was amazing with accommodating me with my food restrictions, organizing a trip to the jungle and getting me to an ATM, which needed a drive with their boat across the river. Olmes, the owner, has a great driver who can pick you up or drive you straight to the airport. Always on time I have to add! All meals are basic and exactly what I needed. Beds are comfy and clean. Changed last minute to a tambo near the water which gave me a beautiful view of the water. Thank you!!
Cons: I am aware operating a lodge in the jungle is difficult because it requires a constant upkeep due to the very fast rate at which everything decays. Also that this is not a 150$ a night lodge. Nevertheless less I wish they would put some more effort into maintaining the place because it’s such an amazing location. In one of the Bungalows there was standing water because a heavy Rain shower leaked some water through the beautiful organic roof. Be careful also when walking down the wooden stairs which become very slippery when wet.
Good 7,9
Pros: The food served was fantastic, probably the best fish I have ever had. The accommodations were sufficient for how remote this place was. A great place to really reflect.
Cons: Cool showers were not my favorite part, although they were sufficient to rinse the days sweat off.
Good 7,5
Cons: The food is good, but abit poor if you have high metabolism so I bought some fruits as complement. The tours they provide i highly recomend.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: This lodge was just what I needed after spending weeks in the jungle. The staff was very helpful, and super friendly. The meals were basic, yet delicious and satisfying. The room I booked looked over the lake, and I truly enjoyed every single minute of it. The jungle tour was amazing, I learned so much about all the medicinal trees and plants. The final day, I went back to Iquitos and the owner brought me to the museum that I really wanted to visit, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend this place to anyone what wants more quietness, and loves to stay close to nature!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Olmes, if there is someone and some place in the whole wide world to mention to the rest of the world, than it is you and your place!!!!!! Another word for your place should be peace, another word for you should be grace. Thank you olmes , thank you “ferryman”, thank you cooking woman… for what you have given to me!!!!! bungalow with view to the river, canu for sliding on the river, so good food, …. taking me to the hospital every day!!!! … all that was making me happy in its great simplicity. I did not take any of the tours which are offered (due to my bad leg) but I am sure they where great.

Pros: Walter, the executive producer of Fitzccaraldo movie is a legend of modern cinema. The house witnesses the make of the movie. Claudia, the manager of the hotel is efficient and smiling. The food is great. The whole courtyard is a oasis of silence and relaxation.
Cons: He have spent to little time in Casa Fitzccaraldo.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: That it is a bit out of the city and quiet and peaceful. Owners are very nice, great pool and amazing treehouse
Good 6,7
Pros: The pool is great and the restaurant does great food. This would be a great place to chill out for a few hours in the middle of the day and is definitely worth making an effort to visit for that. It is very quiet.
Cons: The restaurant serves excellent food but closes at 18:30 with the bar closely soon afterwards. The area is not really somewhere to wander around at night looking for a drink so it feels quite isolated staying there. Rooms need a bit of modernisation.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Great pool. Amazing history. Very comfortable and clean. The food is outstanding.
Cons: Location is a little far from the centre.
Mediocre 3,3
Cons: The hotel was advised that I was traveling with my three year old. They offered me a free pickup from the airport. The pickup never arrived. In the end there was a guy with an old and unsafe car who took me to the city center where we would meet up with the driver who was supposed to pick us up. Not a great start when traveling with a three year old at night. The hotel is located next to some bars I would not walk into myself. The room was dated and definitely not worth US$120 per night. (no airco, no cable TV, little or no Wifi, bad shower, mosquito netting that does not work, noisy ventilator, etc...)anyway we went to bed and hoped for a better start the next day. We woke up with several mosquito bites, my three year old especially...and went for breakfast. We discovered the gardens a little only to find that with nails sticking out, boards that are loose and unreliable stairs this was not a place where I could let my daughter run around. Breakfast was very disappointing with some eggs and two types of fruit, some watery coffee and juice. When my wife arrived this day (she was also picked up by the hotel but this was never asked for) she did not want to stay at the hotel any longer and I went to speak to the owner. The owner was very rude and unhelpful and it was only after making him understand that I know Peru that he was willing to cancel the second night without any fee. Nevertheless when checking out and paying the bill I found out they charged me both taxis (the one that never showed up and the one never asked for) at a rate of US$10 each!!! On top of this they used an exchange rate that is a robbery on itself. Forget about wanting to stay in a place that has some history or name and do yourself a favor; for less money you can stay in an actual hotel in the city center with a good breakfast, friendly service, clean rooms and good swimming pool. This place is completely overpriced and outdated.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Loved the surroundings staff and general atmosphere, food was delicious. A perfect retreat from the business of Iquitos.
Cons: Nothing, love the atmosphere and place, very relaxing environment.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Beautiful property, safe and tranquil. Very cute puppy. Nice gardens and pool.
Cons: The room we were given was extremely moody, so much so that I had trouble breathing and we needed to switch rooms. The staff were accommodating tot his request thankfully
Okay 5,0
Pros: Friendly staff and decent breakfast
Cons: Room tired, pool and surrounding area shabby.
Good 6,7
Pros: The staff was really friendly and the food was nice. There were cute dogs around!
Cons: The rooms and the pool area are a bit old and could use some refurbishment. Location is not very central, but to be fair that was advertised before.

Good 6,3
Pros: booked one of only 2 rooms with AC. had an amazing view of amazon river but there is a lot of street noise.
Cons: we checked in early but left at 345am following day but we're very obvious with us not being able to enjoy breakfast upon arrival (whatever it isn't that good anyways). we painfully "arranged" a tuk tuk to pick us up at 345am. it wasn't there in the morning so we grabbed one off the street for half the price. seemed like the staff didn't want to help they only did the bare minimum not realizing they are in a customer service industry. definitely the strangest dealings with staff I've had in 8 weeks in Peru.
Good 6,7
Pros: The staff is friendly , social room is big , they have a little cute cat !!
Cons: I booked a room for 4 beds . The bed is really old and uncomfortable! And the room is next to the street super duper noisy , impossible to sleep !
Good 7,5
Pros: Good location
Cons: Bathroom could be cleaner
Excellent 8,3
Pros: For some reason it felt very home-y at the hostel
Cons: The toilet wasn’t very clean
Okay 5,0
Pros: Good location
Cons: We couldnt close the window in our room, owner take 5 soles for using the luggage room, and 5 soles to use the shared showers.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Good location. Good fans. I do recommend doing the jungle trek with the company that they recommend HOWEVER do NOT book it at the hostel. The owner of the jungle trek tour company comes to the hostel every day and he'll only sell it to you at 250 soles per day and won't budge. But if you go to his office, you can negotiate it. I got it down to 180 soles per day.
Cons: It's a bit dingy but the whole town is a bit dingy.
Okay 4,2
Cons: Seriously that room right next to the street should not have been rented out at all!! Cancelled my next booking first thing in the morning. You would have to pay me to go for another sleepless night.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: The staff was truly amazing!!
Excellent 10,0
