Hvar hotels near Hvar Town Arsenal

Pros: Lovely location - close enough to town - but far enough away to relax

Cons: Breakfast was Luke warm - Excluding egg cooked to order

Pros: Great location, easy access to the beach and downtown Hvar

Cons: The rooms are tiny. We felt like we were staying on a cruise ship it was so small. The hotel is nice but you can tell it’s hasn’t been updated in a while. I’d say it’s slightly over priced for what it is.

Cons: Too big and noisy - pool not suitable for actually swimming in - more suited for those who like a drink while sitting in the pool - seems like a package tour destination more than an exclusive resort

Pros: I read the reviews before arriving fearing the worst. Thankfully everything was perfect. Had sea view room with balcony. As a couple the sizw was fine. I expected them to be tiny. Perfect location. Thx for lovely stay.

Pros: Good location, really nice helpful staff and great food at bar restaurant.

Cons: Was expensive for what it was but so is everything else in Croatia from what I’ve seen in Dubrovnik and hvar. I guess the weak Aussie dollar doesn’t help either.

Pros: The hotel was beautiful, room was nice and had everything you would need. The pool area is great with plenty of beds and the in-water bar service was a nice touch too. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and the staff were always very helpful.

Pros: Location was within 10 minute walking distance to the centre of Hvar and the breakfasts were out of this world - an impressive spread.

Pros: I liked the location and the ocean view.

Cons: The rooms are a bit small. Also my room had some problems: first the lights didn't work, then a problem with air conditioner. The water of the tub and lavatories filled up when you used it. It's a nice hotel but needs to be restored in some issues.

Pros: This is a tough review. I am not even sure where to begin. We showed up early and the staff said in 20 minutes our room would be ready and then 3 hours later, it still wasn’t ready. I went to conceirge and asked to set up a massage for my wife’s birthday and they handed me the phone and asked me to do it. Awkward. We had two adults and two kids. The soap was replaced every other day. So the kids take a bath and use both soaps. Then we shower. Soap is gone. Awkward. The staff seemed overworked. But the staff was nice.

Pros: Breakfast was nice and varied if you wanted it to be. Location of the hotel was great a nice 5/10 minute walk in Hvar town.

Cons: Sun beds, oh the sun beds, I guess you get this anywhere with such a nice pool. People put their towels out and then go to the beach to save a spot after the beach. Felt like the pool was always 40% full because of this.

Cons: The accommodation was very basic. Nowhere near what I would expect from a 4 star hotel, which I assume it has based on technicalities like having a lift and a [small] swimming pool.

Pros: Wonderful hotel we would stay there again, should we go back to Hvar.

Cons: A little more information the first day at breakfast, like you can order cappuccino etc. would have been nice. Though the girls working there, was very nice, maybe just needed a little guidance.

Pros: Beautiful setting, with lots of comfy sun beds for guests. Easy access into the sea. There is a jetty which allows boats to collect and drop you off. We stayed in the new building, whilst the room was fine it was very basic, for the price I would have expected it to be more luxurious. Good sized comfy beds. Not enough storage space, no drawers. There are a number of cats who live in the hotel, which are really friendly. There were five kittens who were adorable and made the hotel feel more homely. Would be great if the hotel paid for their food, rather than the staff doing so out of their own money. We also bought food. All the staff were lovely, particularly Maja and Svetlana. Good food all round.

Cons: The hot water in the shower on or room was awful. There was barely enough for one person to have a hot shower. When we complained we were told to wait 20 mins between showers, which we did and it made no difference. This is not good enough on a hotel of this calibre, very disappointing. Beach towels provided need to be replaced, a number we were given had holes in and falling apart. Would be great if the bar staff walked around to ask if you wanted drinks, rather than having to keep getting up and going to the bar.

Pros: The most wonderful and friendlies staff ever. It was my friends first time in Croatia and your staff were the stand out in her eyes.

Pros: I am afraid there's not a thing I liked about this hotel. They count on the smile of their staff and on the nice views from the deck to bring people in. But that would be all. It is definitely NOT a 4-star hotel.

Cons: DO NOT RECOMMEND - DIRTY AND OVERPRICED I spend five nights (6 days) in this hotel to my regret. Unfortunately I couldn't cancel and get my money back. Room cleaning was terrible throughout my stay. Beds were barely made. They didn't clean the floor once (there were glass shards under the bedside table), they didn't replace or wash used glasses not even once, they didn't replace toiletries (so we could use just one tiny piece of soap during our 5-nights/6-days stay). In addition, something I had never experienced before when staying in hotels by the beach, you would have to pay for fresh beach/pool towels. Other than that, the hotel is surely by the sea, but there's no way one could say it is on the beach. There is no beach. You can dip in straight from the deck into the sea. Food options are very limited. Food is not exactly good and is very overpriced for what they deliver.

Pros: Loved the beds by the sea, the view and the location...a wee bit outside of the town so very tranquil and a beautiful safe walk by the shore when we wanted to enjoy Hvar!

Cons: The fact that the bar shut at 11pm and it was not possible to enjoy a quiet drink as you came back to the hotel.

Pros: Great value hotel. Comfortable room, view of the ocean and extremely friendly and helpful staff. The beach is just a few steps from the hotel and 15 min walk into Hvar town. Had a wonderful massage at the spa. Bed was comfortable with a cute little balcony and nice view of the water. Staff was very helpful at check-in and with travel arrangements. Tasty simple breakfast.

Cons: Bathroom was a bit small, but totally acceptable.

Pros: The bed was very comfortable, we had a very good sleep. Very nice hotel, vintage style arounded with palms.

Cons: I think the hotel need more staf, the steeps to the sea from the hotel need to be renovated, and they need a gardener ones a week for a garden

Cons: Rooms maybe a little small for bags etc, very small shower & didn’t like the separate sheets & blankets on the bed.

Pros: I loved the location, it’s right by hula hula beach and s short walk into that city. Our balcony in our room was lovely and so was the view.

Cons: The lady on reception wasn’t great, one time we had to wait ages to talk to her as she was walking around talking on her mobile. One of the towels in our room was really old and frayed.

Pros: The best thing about this place is the location. You literally walk down the stairs of the hotel and your blown away by some of the most beautiful coastline beaches in the world. Walk up the footpath to the right abit further for gorgeous quieter areas to explore! Still a highlight of our trip to Croatia was those beaches! Also staff at hotel Croat were super nice and friendly, and buffet breakfast was incredible

Cons: The room wasn’t worth the price. The price was worth the location, but not the actual room itself.
