Hvar hotels near Hvar Fortress

Pros: Reception and help with the luggage. View was amazing. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were very obliging. Room was fantastic lots of space, and very clean

Cons: Pillows were too soft and food and wine was a bit expensive. Lighting in the room was a bit dim for people applying makeup.

Pros: Amazing hotel. Breakfast was so delicious. Top view bar & pool...highly recommended! The staff was very humble and helpful. Stunning room views of the Hvar harbour. Simply the best!

Pros: The convenience to town and the staff was pretty friendly. It was also very clean and modern.

Cons: The rooms were VERY small...even for Europe.

Pros: Very friendly staff, fantastic facilities, amazing location and delicious breakfasts! We visited for a few days after our wedding and it was the perfect place to relax, while also feeling like you were experiencing something special. For example, every evening there was a little treat left in our room after we returned from dinner. One night it was chocolates, another night it was cookies. Hvar itself is incredible. Immaculately tidy and beautiful streets. Loads of great places to eat and drink - genuinely spoilt for choice.

Cons: We were on the 5th floor (very few rooms - mostly roof space) and there was quite a loud buzz coming from the roof opposite. It woke us up a few times.

Pros: Amazing location, stylish comfortable hotel. Staff made every effort to ensure a wonderful visit

Cons: Staff at breakfast werent the most helpful, The aircon in the room always reverted to automatic. But if you don't mind that then it's perfect.

Pros: Breakfast was only average but adequate.

Pros: The resort is only a short walk from Hvar Town on a designated pathway along the water. It is a lovely walk and you can see all of the sailboats and catamarans docked for the evening. Going the other direction, hotel is just around the corner from the Hula Hula Bar which is the perfect place to watch the sunset! The breakfast had a great selection and we never had an issue finding a place to sit. Pool was not heated so you needed to be a bit brave to make the initial wade in. Room was comfortable and sea view was very nice to look at each morning.

Cons: The resort itself is starting to become slightly worn down. This is most evident in the dining room for breakfast. It is definitely lovely but they will need to make updates in the coming years to keep their 4 star status. Service around the pool area is very slow.

Pros: Everything else, great value for money incredibly attentive staff, location was good too

Cons: The fact that we didn't have hot water for over five hours and that they blocked out room key while we were waiting for them to fix the hot water...they had three different people coming into our room, we had to ask four times to fix the water before they believed there really was an issue.

Pros: I liked the location and the ocean view.

Cons: The rooms are a bit small. Also my room had some problems: first the lights didn't work, then a problem with air conditioner. The water of the tub and lavatories filled up when you used it. It's a nice hotel but needs to be restored in some issues.

Pros: We loved the slide in the pool although it was only turned on for 1 out of the 4 days we were there

Cons: Closer to the tome of our stay we went to book ferries to get to the island and realised our flight came in at 9 and all ferries had finished to the island as a result we had booked an extra night to stay at the amfora. We emailed to ask to change our booking to commence on the Sunday rather than the Saturday as we would have to stay in split for one night. We had missed the cancellation period by one day and so they would not make any changes to our booking. We were not looking to cancel just to take one day off our stay. Unfortunately the staff were not cooperative in this instance. Missing out on the cancellation period by just one day I would have expected the hotel to be some what reasonable and allow us to make the change due to the circumstances of no way to get to the island but they were not!

Pros: This is a tough review. I am not even sure where to begin. We showed up early and the staff said in 20 minutes our room would be ready and then 3 hours later, it still wasn’t ready. I went to conceirge and asked to set up a massage for my wife’s birthday and they handed me the phone and asked me to do it. Awkward. We had two adults and two kids. The soap was replaced every other day. So the kids take a bath and use both soaps. Then we shower. Soap is gone. Awkward. The staff seemed overworked. But the staff was nice.

Cons: The shower in the bathrooroom leaked a lot, we paid a ,ot of money for 3 night so would've expected everything to be working properly

Pros: Nice, clean and modern rooms, and we were even upgraded to a room with a sea view which was beautiful! We had issues with our keycards not working, and staff were friendly and attended to it quickly. Breakfast had a nice spread. Walking distance to the old town.

Cons: Instead of a double bed we had two single beds put together, which was really not comfortable! 10-15min uphill walk from the port, was not easy with luggage!

Pros: Brand New Hotel with Good facilities

Cons: The Drinks were very expensive and cocktails were not very good

Pros: Location on the top of the hill. Decor. Friendly staff. Pool was nice and not too busy.

Cons: The room doors are not sound proof. It was one of the noisiest hotels I have ever stayed in. Late at night - noise as people are coming back and early morning (before 8) noise of guests leaving to breakfast and housekeeping cleaning corridors and rooms.

Pros: Good staff, decent rooms, great location. Really affordable - ask for a fan if you are too hot.

Cons: Just note you have to walk up stairs to get to and from the center of town easily. You can get there by car if you have issues walking.

Pros: The rooms were clean and modern.

Cons: We got off at the port and it was a long walk with bags to the hotel without a proper path. We had to take the steps up the hill with our bags which was a struggle. When we called the hotel to assist with the bags we were told there was no assistance available and we had to manage on our own. The rooms have interconnecting doors with little sound proofing and we had noisy neighbors who would be up till 4am each morning.

Pros: Same hotel chain as previous hotel.

Cons: Room was tiny, breakfast average, early checkin we arranged was not ready.

Pros: Simple but vibrant hotel with a funky design. Beds are comfortabe, breakfasts are good. The location is up the hill but manageable. Staff is very attentive and polite.

Pros: Bed was very comfortable, close to Hvar town and Amfora beach, 5 mins walk each way.

Pros: the location is prime in Hvar and the view is great.

Cons: We had left a "please make up the room sign on the door" when we left around lunch time and upon return the room had not been made up. This kind of stuff can happen and when I called reception to ask if we could get the room made up, the staff were very unfriendly and started debating this ask with me. This place advertises itself as a prime hotel in Hvar, but I am afraid the service was not what I expected. The breakfast was mediocre and it did not meet my expectations for the price paid. The room was very small in comparison to other places we visited on our trip. I would probably not stay here again, as I am sure there are more affordable places with better service to be found on this wonderful island.

Pros: We got a free upgrade to a seaview room and complimentary prosecco. The place had quirky designs and it was very convenient as the ferry stopped right in front of the hotel! The breakfast had a wide spread of food including grilled vegetables, cake and sparkling wine.

Pros: A fantastic location. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast had a big selection of different options. A great spot to grab a drink and watch the world go by.

Cons: It would be great to have some rooms available as Share Twin options. With some of our group traveling as individuals it made the stay quite expensive as a single occupier.

Pros: The free Prosecco in the room was a nice touch and glad to see that the bed was not two single beds pushed together. The guy in the front desk did recommend a great restaurant called Black Pepper.

Cons: The bedroom was way smaller then what the pictures let on. No Iron available from reception. When i asked for one i was told it burnt out a few weeks - asked did they ever think to replace it and got no response.

Pros: Good for if you’re getting a ferry...jump straight off and into the hotel

Cons: Breakfast was really average, pasta house was closed all of the time, the hotel booked the hotels outside bar out to a private party so we were asked to move seats, probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Pros: We loved the location and the modernness of the hotel. The room was small and interesting with a glass toilet door but we loved the uniqueness!! We received chocolates and champagne our first night and enjoyed having access to the pool of thier sister hotel. Would recommend to any friends staying in Hvar.

Pros: The front desk attendant (Marina) went above and beyond our expectations! She was incredibly nice and friendly. We also had a small issue with having a package of medication for one in our group delivered to Hvar island. She went over the top to ensure we got everything straightened out with it! Her hospitality was a 10/10!

Pros: The location was perfect right by the harbour Staff v friendly and accommodating and breakfast nice too

Cons: The rooms are very dated and poor , the carpets in the hotel and room are externally poor, stains top to bottom, bathrooms needs updating, but this really is only a reflected the low price in a fantastic location. If the just put a new carpet in hotel and painted the walls is would make a massive difference. Staff where very helpful.
