Pros: The staff was very friendly. The whole hotel was perfectly clean. Every detail managed to be well thought out. The view was amazing. There is the option to rent a Tesla Model X. The hotel offers pretty nice swimming pool.
Pros: Scenery, breakfast, hard working staff, cleanliness, newness, location
Cons: Beds are not queen sized as noted throughout the listing -- they are shorter than queens (they are full size in length) -- so if you are 6' tall your feet will dangle over the end and you have to sleep diagonal. Rooms are not soundproof either -- you hear tv sound from other rooms and traffic noise as there is a freeway right outside the hotel and the Austrian drivers average 80-90 KM per hour in their diesel BMWs, VWs, Audis and Mercedes (they drive way too fast!) You can close up the room, but then you have a stuffy and hot room. Don't even think of a getting a lick of sleep here....
Pros: Great hotel with extremly attentive, friendly and professional staff. Got upgraded to a Natur Suite which was superb. Facilities and especially the Spa were excellent. Good breakfast.
Cons: Our bed felt a bit saggy, food in the restaurant was great but somewhat pricy.
Pros: Food, quality of ingredients Indoor & outdoor pool
Cons: Room on street side was noisy
Pros: Location was great. Hotel was pleasant
Cons: Unsecured WiFi.
Pros: Breakfast and dinners all of high standard. Room comfortable. Guided walks available for guests.
Cons: Not all staff comfortable with speaking English.
Pros: - modern and sound proof rooms - lovely wooden style to the whole hotel - comfortable bed and mattresses - really enjoyed the small pool filled with water directly from the mountains - comfortable spa area - delicious dinner and an outstanding breakfast buffet - great for couples looking to relax - 2km walk to the lifts that will take you on the top of the mountains
Cons: Can’t think of much to be honest... it’s a great place!!
The Matreier Tauernhaus, operated by the Brugger family since 3 generations, looks back at 800 years of tradition of hospitality on the old trade route over the Felbertauern pass. This historic building, founded by the Archbishop of Salzburg in 1207, is located in the Matreier Tauerntal, a well-known and popular valley near the Felbertauern pass and road tunnel. All of the Alpine-style rooms have a private bathroom Tyrolean specialities, trout from the own pond and a rich buffet breakfast are served in the restaurant and on the terrace. Packed lunches are available. Kids will love the playground and the big petting zoo.
Pros: Have not been able to forget about this place in 8 years. Only 2 star guest house but really a great room all in all. The food in the restaurant is lovely and so is the breakfast. The staff were very friendly. It's in a beautiful location. Only missing the alpacas from 8 years ago.
Cons: The only negative is that the mattress was a bit old and therefore had a big dent in it which didn't allow me to get very comfortable. The pillow was also probably quite old and had lost support.
Pros: Really good hotel. Would absolutly recommend. Had a very nice room with good views and nice balcony. Good bathroom. The best beds I have encountered in a hotel ever! Service is just great all is very nice. I checked in late was no problem. Restaurant is very good. I had to pick my own forell fish. And I had a great night with staff with many beers. Absolutely love the bar! Breakfast was good. Although the coffee didn't taste as good as expected. Machine needs to be cleaned. Location is stunning. Hiking the Grossvenediger really nice. Zero complaints. Perfect hotel. Very charming family business.
Cons: Coffee and thats it.
Pros: Great breakfasts
Pros: After a multi day hut to hut hike we really appreciated this historic "inn". Good value and easy to find location with bus stop opposite entrance. Our halbpension dinner was gourmet level. Breakfast was substantial.
Pros: Good breakfast, nice location, comfortable rooms with a balcony
Pros: Definitelly the best place to stay when you do the HochTirol ski-tour during the spring season. Historical nice place, well accessible and well equipped (sauna,...)
Cons: Keep smiling!

Pros: If you want to just stay overnight then this hotel is best located and the rooms are good. Breakfast is good as well.
Cons: Noise as it’s very close to the main road.
Pros: The room was very big and the location was good.
Pros: No charm but a very good breakfast and very kind staff
Pros: Amazing location, very relaxing. Extremly spacious family room. Friendly&helpful staff!

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and multilingual staff. Pros: Private car parking facilities.
Pros: Rooms on two levels, balcony. Breakfast was standard, noting spectacular
Cons: Owner of the property (Anita) tried to ask money (3,5 Euro) for ordinary tap water served in jugs. It was not bottled water, but she defined such tap water as "still" water. We did not want to pay and she was very rude during the arguments.
Cons: Couldn’t take credit cards to pay the 10 euros for parking and tourist tax.
Pros: The breakfast and the dinner were both good. The hotel is centrally located, near the bus stop.
Cons: The heating system in the room was terribly noisy and it went on and off frequently, day and night.
Pros: The rooms were quite nice and big enough. Hotel very quiet overall. Ski bus stop is very close.
Cons: The food was not as good as you would expect. The breakfast offer was quite basic. The dinner could be also better. The parking in garage is an additional cost that could be offered upon booking. The age of the hotel is becoming visible, might need some refresh. At least a smaller jacuzzi would be very welcome.
Pros: very good with everything

Pros: Friendly staff, great Spa, location...
Cons: Sofa not comfortable
Cons: Be aware, the price advertised is NOT the total price. We had to pay an additional 40 euro's 'cleaning costs' on top of the official price
Pros: The spa area and facilities.
Cons: The room. Is a bit old.
Pros: The pool and spa area was superb
Cons: Apartments were very poorly equipped for cooking. No oven, no microwave, no kettle, no toaster. Food in a la carte restaurant was not good by any stretch of the imagination. Ski bus service to and from the village finishes by 6pm, there seemed to be only one taxi serving the whole village.
Pros: Swimming pool and wellness area, sauna in the room
Cons: Cleanliness, old, worn out equipment and furniture, dark rooms, mold in bathroom
Pros: The location is picture perfect, a definate look at the culture of Austria, we went in summer, the mountain views were breathtaking,we drove almost to the top of the Alps on steep narrow roads, what an experience! People were super friendly and helpful even though we didn't speak the language they understood a little English. One lady invited me to her house after we attended their festival, they we all dressed in traditional Austrian clothes for this. Food and waiter in the small property restaurant was amazing we didn't take their breakfast / lunch program. Can't wait to go back
Cons: we didn't understand how to use the dryer so we dried our clothes in the sauna
Pros: Indoor swimming pool and central location. Perfect to reach in few minutes by car all trails in the area and vilage centre
Cons: Apartment was not so clean and garbage shared collection area remained full and dirty for several days. In general no service has been offered for apartments guests.
Pros: The location was excellent and the breakfast was also very good. The hotel is facilities like swimming pool, spa are excellent and definite value for money. The staff was also helpful and spoke english which was a relief.
Cons: The location although very beautiful is very difficult to reach if you don't have your own car. International travelers might face some difficulty as the hotel does not arrange any pick facility, everything is to be done by the guest and its difficult if you are in a new country for the first time. I think they should at least arrange for a shuttle pick up from the train and bus stations.
