Pros:Drop off very easyCons:Didn't have the car I reserved available because they overbooked and a "glitch" in their system (bull). Was forced to pay extra for an "upgrade" to rent, unless I wanted to "wait around" for when a car would show up. What's the point of reservations then!?Reviewed May 13 2019

Pros:The owner of the grass valley location is friendly but the car a rented did not meet my expectationsCons:Ive never rented from hertz. When I picked up my car they only had a Kia Forte that and he “didn’t have time to clean it” the car had been returned from Vegas. contract was still in the car. Absolute horrorCons:I had rented a car to get me to the airport to catch an international flight from SF to India. When I went to pick up my car (2hrs after my scheduled pick up time) they told me they wouldn’t have a car ready for another 6-8 hours! They offered no help whatsoever. Had to end up paying s friend to drive me 7hrs round trip to the airport. Luckily I have good friends!!! I will never rent through Hertz again unless I have absolutely no other option.Reviewed Dec 11 2018

There was not a car availableCons:I booked on kayak more than 24 hours in advance. 2 hours before i was supposed to pick up the car they called me to tell me there wouldn’t be one available at the time that i made the reservation. They told me they would call when one was available. They still haven’t called.Reviewed Nov 29 2018

charging my credit card for a car i didnt rentCons:made a reservation for the fourth when I got the confirmation it said the 5th so I called them right away within 5 min . they didn't have a car for me so I cancelled she told me I would not be charged then I received a email they charged me 33.13 for something I never rented and was there fault. Last Minute Cancellation of My ReservationCons:I received a phone call 2 hours before I was to pick up my rental car cancelling my reservation because she was out sick and the reservation system "is run by corporate and does not know what our availability is". I was forced to rent a car with another company at twice the price because of the last minute reservation. I will never use Hertz or Kayak again.Reviewed Mar 13 2018

Dirty, RudePros:The second employee I worked with was courteous & helped me change my drop off locationCons:The first employee was rude, wouldn’t believe that I already made a deposit (I had to call orbitz & have them tell her I was telling the truth). She tried to make a new reservation where I’d have lost my deposit but I caught her and told her no. She was very unprofessional and argumentative. DisappointedCons:They could’ve called me a day earlier to tell me that I wasn’t able to get the rental for that weekend instead she waited until the morning of that day to let me know that I’m not able to get it. I panicked for a sec because my group was already all set and ready for the trip that weekend. I called Enterprise in Chico instead and they’re the MVP! Worked everything out and I was able to get a rental last minute.Reviewed Jan 17 2018
