Rented a minivan weeks in advance, showed up and they didn’t have the vehicle. Vehicle did not perform the necessary functions I needed from the minivan, was in need of service per the dealership, and was significantly less fuel efficient. Spent hundreds more in gas and could’ve just used our personal SUV for the trip for free. Manager was unwilling to fix the issue and tried to lie about the situation to avoid doing anything. Pros:Very quick and easy to pick-up and drop-off car. I didn't realize I got a small rental car and they were able to switch me to a bigger vehicle which I greatly appreciated.Reviewed Apr 12 2021

Pros:Only one person in office traveled 45 minutes to pick up confirmed reservaton when I arrive was told no cars sorry. He said I could wait around the rest of the day maybe one would be returned Worst rental exoerience in my life..Cons:Honored the reservation.Reviewed Mar 16 2021

Canceled my reservation an hour after due to no cars availableCons:Went to the site at scheduled time and due to cars being sent for oil changes, no car was available and wouldn’t be until at least an hour or so. I offered to go to another location. Got to second location and informed them I need a trunk and not a hatchback and was informed since I booked third party that is all that was available. The demeanor of the employee was that I was asking for too much. He didn’t offer to upgrade me, even for a charge, he let me walk out and go across the street to enterprise. I was now an over past my rental time and an hour late getting on the road.Reviewed Oct 12 2018

Good car, not very clean or fueled upPros:The car worked great, overall experience of pickup and dropoff was fine.Cons:The car was dirty (dusty, not gross) on the inside, dirty on the outside, and the fuel tank was at 3/8. We returned it at full so Hertz got some extra gas on us, and wouldn't give us any compensation. If it was the other way around you guys would have charged us - seems unfair!Reviewed Jan 3 2017

RidiculousPros:NothingCons:I waited twice in line on the Saturday after New Years. No one but me had a reservation. The kid gave me the wrong car my first time through line. Made me get in the back on the line to get the right one. NONE of these people had reservations but me. So they were shopping which cars they wanted while he did the paperwork. It was stupid. Threw me the keys to a Chrysler 200 and I had reservation for a Chevy Malibu. Gave me zero direction with the car and it was dirty with a scratch on it. On the way to jacksonville I was trying to put gas in it and couldn't figure out where the gas cap release was. Was late getting it back and they charges an extra day. Hertz doesn't care about jack squat. And I will never use them again. But Kayak was ok.Reviewed Jan 9 2016
