1. We clearly specified, when booking the car, that we did not want an electric car as we know that charging stations are limited in Corsica. However, the only option upon arrival was an electric car. As a result I had to do some distance to charge my car between my village and the right charging station. The nearest one was not even fast enough to charge the car so I had to go 9km farther to find a super charger. 2. When picking up the car, we had to wait more than 40 minutes as there was only one staff attending the clients. It was quite late (10.00pm) but during school holidays, the renter should plan enough staff to operate at scaleReviewed Apr 22 2026

Hertz customer service in Sanford downgraded my vehicle, Hertz Corp customer service was completely lost trying to help resolve the issue, and Hertz charged an additional $76 upon return with no indication why. Gas was 100%, car returned on time to the location stated, and no tolls or other charges used. When I demanded an invoice of charges, they kept providing the same one with the $29 fee and $200 hold.Reviewed Apr 21 2026

Seems very deceptive. They didn't have my car when I went for pickup and alternatively offered me another vehicle that was much more expensive. This seems to be a tactic of their of manipulating customers into higher prices who are stressed for time. I ended up walking out of there, walking down the street, and took my business to Enterprise, who took care of me in a matter of 5 minutes. Never going back to Hertz.Reviewed Apr 19 2026

3 hour delay getting the car despite a reservation and checking in online. Ridiculous overbooking which is entirely the fault of Hertz.
