Pros:When we arrived to pick up the car the only staff member was outside cleaning a car. She did not say anything as well walked past her. She continued to clean the car for about 10 mins. When she was finished she took the car to the lot and took quite awhile to get back. When she came inside she still said nothing to us. She went to use the restroom. When she finally came to help us she did not apologize for the wait. She was very quiet, explained our receipt to us, and handed us the keys. When we came to return the car she was not in. She had explained how to return the car if she was not in. We were having trouble filling out the papers so we had to wait till she returned. When she came back she drove way to fast through the parking lot. She got out of the car and said nothing to us. We followed her inside. I told her we needed to return the car. She asked if we filled it back up and handed me the receipt. She was not a very friendly person. Also when I tried to call about our rental days the phone was never answered. Pros:Staff did not tell me that it's not unlimit mileage. I told them where I was going.Cons:staff could have told me about milleage or warm me about going over milleage. Thought it was unlimit like before. Will never rent from Hertz again.Reviewed Sep 4 2020

Pros:Staff was really great. They knew their information and knew it well. They were thoughtful and helpful and super friendly. Very nice people to deal withCons:I ended up paying almost three times what I expected to after viewing the website. Pros:Car drove OKCons:Did not have my car at time of appointment, said it would be about an hour. Waited 35 minutes for car to show. They did not bring my car, so I was told it would be about another hour, after the 35 minute wait. Had to take an SUV which I did not want due to poor gas mileage. Pros:SUV was clean and comfortable.Cons:The check is process was long and confusing. I rented a intermediate SUV and was charged an upgrade because the check in clerk told me that I reserved a small SUV. Pros:it was a nice vehicle ,good gas mileageCons:It was smaller as far as storage room . It wasn't real comfortable for the distance we went. the car we were supposed to have needed an oil change when we got there to pick it up. Terrible Service, Great CarPros:The car was great for a long road trip (Sonata hybrid). We will rent this vehicle again, but probably not from Hertz.Cons:The staff at this location were completely incompetent. They must have little business because when we walked in they seemed annoyed that they had to work. We reserved a car ahead of time and arrived a bit early. They didn’t have any vehicles when we checked in and told us that they MAY have a car at our scheduled time. Our options: we could wait or we could get a car in Appleton, since that’s where the car would come from anyway. We wanted to hit the road so we drove to Appleton to pick up a vehicle. Once we arrived, the person there was so rude and told us that we couldn’t pick up a vehicle because we prepaid. Nobody told us this information until this point so we wasted time and gas. So, we returned to Oshkosh and a few hours later they had a vehicle for us.Reviewed May 31 2018

Attempt to overchargePros:The assistance received in Fond du Lac was wonderful. During the trip we realized we were going to cut our trip short and I called and the attendant was so helpful in advising the difference in price for several different airports.Cons:Our return at BWI was not good. We pulled in and were advised we would have to go in. I had made this reservation in my husbands name, so he went to the counter. After being assisted with by one person he was passed to another one. I joined at the counter and the gentleman showed my husband the cost on the computer screen, but didn't say the amount just pointed to it. My husband pointed to it for me to see. I didn't have my glasses and informed them they needed to tell me the amount. It was around $1,000 more than my reservation. I then pulled out my reservation along with the revised amount provided to me by the Fond du Lac location. My charges were then adjusted. Cons:This Hertz location charges you $0.25 per mile if you go over 200 miles... that was not listed anywhere. Thankfully I only needed it for a day to get me to and from work while my car was being fixed... I would hate to use it for a vacation, that would be very difficult to monitor my mileage.Reviewed Aug 18 2017
