Pros: Well, firstly, we got upgraded to a room with amazing view of the Great Torii Gate, but unfortunately the Gate is being reconstructed. The room is very spacious and very clean. I love the public bath that is available for guests and there is a good in-house store that you can purchase souvenirs and food items too.

Pros: Excellent, comfortable rooms in a well located hotel close to Itsukushima shrine. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms had a lovely view of the bay and Itsukushima shrine. Would recommend.
Cons: I didn't find much information about the facilities at the hotel in the room. We ended up dining out instead of using the hotel restaurant because we weren't sure where it was.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location beside the ocean overlooking Miyajima. Lovely lounge and bar in lobby with large windows and great sea views. There was an excellent piano player in the evening playing mellow jazz. Large rooms with comfortable beds. Nice hot spring bath. Really gorgeous 'rentable' private onsen baths. Free shuttle to/from JR train station and boat port to Miyajima. Perfect place to stay if you are driving and plan to visit Miyajima. Some staff can speak English.
Cons: Hotel is slightly outdated - but extremely well kept. When the hotel is very busy, the hot spring baths are quite crowded.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are helpful. Hot bath is ❤️. Very clean. Room was upraded upon request. Free shuttle bus to and from hotel. The view of Miyajima island is best to look at from this hotel.
4,0 Okay
Pros: The little shop on site is cute and had lots of souvenirs and snacks. They also had a shuttle between the hotel and train station that was very convenient.
Cons: Nothing terrible to report, but pretty much everything about this hotel was 'meh'. The rooms weren't particularly comfortable. The breakfast was below average, though they did surprise me with a tasty pork belly benedict option. There's a (very short) night cruise to the Miyajima temple offered from the hotel for an extra charge, which we were excited about. Unfortunately no one bothered to mention that the famous torii gate was under construction and behind a big white screened box. The cruise was pointless since we couldn't see the gate at all. Had they told us, we probably wouldn't have paid for the cruise.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Great view on the lake and Miyajima island Nice onsen and breakfast view
Cons: I was extremely shocked and disappointed to hear that the Itsuku-shima on Miyajima island, let's say THE major and only reason to go there is under renovation and impossible to be seen. The hotel is totaly dishonest and never communicated about it especially regarding their cruise that they still propose to the guest to see ... the famous tori. If I knew I would have never been there now. Feel a bit fooled by the hotel...
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Did not have breakfast.
Cons: Everything was good.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very nice and in a fantastic location. Had a room with an amazing view on the sea and the Myajima Tori. The room had all Japan amenities, Japanese dinner very nice and breakfast European style. Did a private onsen with view on the sea. The staff was excellent.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The hotel had a great view, however location wise not sure. They do provide shuttle services but just until 7pm .
Cons: The room was very old and the tv was very tiny. The room looks like it hasn’t changed since 80’s and is in desperate need of an update!!
6,3 Good
Pros: Location was excellent. Room was very good and big (we took a japanese style, with futons, Ryokan style). Onsen very much appreciated
Cons: Really poor English is spoken by the staff. It seems dedicated to japanese travellers (whih I do not criticize, but it's better to know it up front before booking). Continental breakfast was so-so. Restaurants are not adapted to non-japanese customers : one restaurant must be reserved before (but not easy to guess), another one is quite expenseive with many items. The shuttle is very convenient, but open hours are not adapted : apparently, nothing after 6 pm...and w/o the shuttle, you can be stuck at the railway station for a while ! You pay a sort of fee for onzen...even if you do not use them. Strange !
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent views of Miyajima and the Torii Gate. Size of room is huge and very comfortable. Good onsen on property.
Cons: The property is a little old and dated. But comfortable.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The staff is exceptional, and the amount of care and attention to detail was beyond anything I have ever experienced. The whole stay was so good it made me want to stay longer.
Cons: The most I can think of is that the hotel has a midnight curfew, which actually doesn't even really matter because everything in Miyajima closes very early anyway. There was honestly nothing I actually didn't like.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent and room was very large
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean facilities. Staff were very helpful and always looked for ways to help out. Onsen was nice.
Cons: Was pretty far from the ferry terminal. Took a while to walk and was uphill. A bit pricey for the distance.
10,0 Excellent

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious! The staff were very accommodating and informative. The room where we stayed at is clean and spacious. Also, we had a free shuttle going to the hotel when we arrived in Miyajima and another free shuttle when we went back to the ferry station. It was very convenient. My best friend and I booked this hotel to celebrate my birthday in Miyajima. Hotel Kikunoya made my day extra special by surprising me with a birthday cake and a lively song while we are having dinner. It was truly memorable for me. I even cried because I was so touched. Thank you very much!

Pros: Everything from the welcoming visit to the fantastic breakfast with a view, from the dream rooftop onsen to the Michelin star level dinner. The staff is the kindest and most helpful, the cosmetic products are the best Japanese organic brand. I'm impressed
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service, delicious foods served on trays.
Cons: The size of tables used to serve dinners and breakfasts for 2 persons is too large. And when covered with white table cloth, it gives an unattractive white expansive space. Cosiness of the dining room should be created with smaller tables, softer lighting and more appropriate music.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff treated you like a God. The beds were extremely nice, the onsen was beautiful with the outside bath. The food was one of the best that I have ever taken in my entire life and the view made it complete.
Cons: The room was pretty warm because the air conditioning was on heating. Everything was written in Japanese so I had no idea. However opening the window fixed the problem.

I definitely will come back and stay here again.

Pros: Great spot right by the ferry. Owner (Teppei) was super nice and very funny. He made sure to explain everything about our room and also how to properly eat Japanese meals.
