Breakfast good large selection.Room was fine. A little surprised at lack of personnel in the Brasserie. Early in the evening around 5.oopm there was one young lady serving......the bar and the Brasserie for food and coffees and that wasn't acceptable. I registered my dissatisfaction and then spoke to Cecil who said more staff would be on soon. That didnt happen, credit to Cecil and John another asst. mangr. Between them they set up table for eight of us and then served drinks and food superbly. So bad followed by good !
Above re Brasserie
Clean, cosy room. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good - lots of options to choose from. Everything we did during our stay in Harrogate was within walking distance from the hotel.
I have no complaints about our 2 night stay at The Crown. Very happy all round.
Everything Very comfortable and clean
Breakfast was buffet style, reasonable choice available though it wasn't explained that you could make requests and no one gave us the menu we saw people with after we had eaten.
Food in restaurant was disappointing for the cost. A dish of peanuts was £1.50 at the bar. Parking was poor, unable to reserve in advance.
Breakfast was very good with reasonable hot and cold choices but the plates and food was cold. Temperature of the tureens needs to be raised to keep the food hot.
