Pros: Very peaceful, excellent facilities, extremely well maintained. A beautiful outlook.
6,3 Good
Pros: great view and a lot of trees and plants here
Cons: too much extra promotions that we don’t need, like asking me if upgrade the suite with paying more, or like in the restaurant, crazily introducing coconut water again and again with me said i don’t want that
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The setting is amazing! The staff and the personal touch that we got made the weekend even better. The attention to details, friendliness etc of the staff really is outstanding and adds on to the experience. Really enjoyed the fact that we got an upgrade, which only make de stay even more magical.

9,3 Excellent (471 reviews)

Overview Reviews
137 Pillars House is a luxurious 30-suite hotel established around a colonial teak homestead built in the early 1880s. It is located in a lush tropical residential enclave that is within walking distance to the historical Wat Gate Khar Rham Temple, Ping River and trendy boutiques on Nimmanhaemin Road.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It’s a hotel with high quality. They emphasize on every detail. Staff are very friendly, professional and helpful. Restaurant is located in an elegant wooden house which makes your meals so enjoyable. Good food of course. The gym is a bit small but enough. My room has a big patio and the sound around you is only from the nature. Truly enjoy the stay.
Cons: If I need to pick on something, it’s the swimming pool which is not that attractive to me.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful spacious suite, fantastic peaceful resort! We wholeheartedly loved it!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: 137 Pillars House is a real sanctuary in the middle of busy Chiang Mai. The buildings are genuinely stunning and the rooms are superb. I would say the staff are a real asset, our butler Toto was easily the most helpful member of staff I've had the pleasure of meeting at any hotel anywhere in the World. He really helped make our time in Chiang Mai memorable and stress-free.
Cons: The pool area was pretty but did get a little shaded. I found the afternoon tea and room service food a little disappointing but the other food in the hotel was excellent.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: 137 pillars had a certain personality and charm to itself that comes to properties who have a little bit of history in their stories. My husband and I specially loved the Jack Bain’s bar which was beautiful. The attention to detail at the property from the decor to the staff is extremely high. We loved everything about the hotel and are sure to go back.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location and nicely decorated. Staff are friendly and helpful particularly they have a butler service to assist in anything via WhatsApp. Always helpful but not disturbing.
Cons: Nothing in particular.

Pros: This hotel is a paradise island in hustle bustle of Chiang Mai . The interior of the hotel is Colonial romantic style, the pool is peaceful and beautiful. The rooms are big and beautiful. The bed is super comfortable makes you feel like you are sleeping on a cloud. Breakfast is served by the pool all the things we ordered were fresh and taste. And finally this review can’t be ended without mentioning the kindness of the staff. Certainly we will remember our stay!!!

Pros: Nice staff. sweet service
7,1 Good
Pros: Hotel style, design
Cons: Way to hotel complicate ,
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were without exception absolutely outstanding- we were made to feel like honoured guests and the service in all areas was superb. The hotel felt like a peaceful oasis in busy Chiang Mai. Breakfast was very good indeed and we enjoyed many cold drinks while lounging around the pool. There is also an evening happy hour for guests. The bed was comfortable and housekeeping did a very good job in keeping everything clean and tidy. We loved the style of the hotel, it’s beautiful and interesting. We received a complimentary 20 minute this massage at the spa which was appreciated.
Cons: Nothing, we had a lovely stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: room accomodations; attentive staff
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The spa and the room were amazing
Cons: The restaurant was not impressing, expected more.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed the experience. Nice and clean building with friendly and helpful staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything from the property itself, the location, the facilities, the restaurant (the one at the main building of the hotel and Jardin) and the spa as well as the staff were impeccable and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. Be sure to ask for a joy ride in either of the two vintage Mercedes cars parked on the main porch, indulge in a candle oil massage, have a drink at the bar whilst reading up on Chiang Mais rich history and more, you will leave asking for more and hoping you can come back and stay at the Ping Nakara again.
Cons: There was nothing that we did not like. This was by far one of the best properties we've stayed at in recent times
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Omg. This is such a beautiful hotel. It’s an oasis to come back after exploring the old city. Close to night market but incredibly quite with very professional friendly staff with beautiful smiles. The room is outstanding with spa bath and small balcony looking over such a beautiful pool area. I can not fault the feel of this place. The decor is so stunning and traditional using teak from the area and honouring the Lanna history in that location. It’s a gem.
Cons: A few extra vegan options would be good but the staff and restaurant will always go beyond to help so it wasn’t a problem.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the decor of the spa — it was so classic and inviting. The little things like free breakfast, complimentary, locally-made snacks in the room and a sweet little souvenir at checkout were added touches that made my stay even more valuable and special.
Cons: Honestly, I can’t think of anything!

Pros: Great location . Great swimming pool . Very kind and helpful staff made our stay perfect
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Great wi-fi speed.
7,5 Good
Pros: The genuine warmth of the staff really made the trip. Also, a "customer delight" gesture to provide a complimentary transfer to the airport after a one-hour blackout the previous day that was nothing to do with the hotel.
Cons: Breakfast was less than the standard of the rest of the hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was realy good, staff, room, location!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent for walking to temples. Services were super excellent and air conditioned rooms. Very very clean rooms and breakfast was the best in quality and service, open 24/7. We also got a great rate on a guided tour with transportation.
Cons: There are no elevators and we were on the top floor (4th floor). The lobby is outdoors so it was very hot and humid to sit in the lobby. The pool was very small. They got us a taxi that was twice the regular rate, so we just used Grab.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great Breakfast, allows you to eat anywhere anytime in the hotel. Helful staff, they never hesitate to help you with any needs and always bring a smile
Cons: Nothing
4,8 Okay
Pros: Location was great, busy during the day quiet at night. Pool was nice
Cons: The rooms were really small for what we paid, breakfast was poor and not up to its reviews and raves. Service was ok - some people were fantastic while the others where somewhat rude.wish there were more lounge chairs by the pool... The soaps were weird and they make such a big deal about it . They didn't really replenish it. They left our room service outside of our room for more than two days.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: They hotel accommodated my dietary requirements which is important being a vegan Location was perfect Staff helpful and friendly The hotel was clean The free usage of bicycles to explore the town was a touch Free complimentary soft/alcoholic drink Breakfast could be eaten anytime of the day.

Pros: Serenity Pool Staff Thai ambiance Styling of the hotel Felt safe Breakfast to take away Markets at door Close to everything Help sorting our laundry needs Nothing was a problem
Cons: We can not find fault it was wonderful experience and we loved every part of our stay
7,5 Good
Pros: Northern Thai and Esan traditional food set are very delicious, especially Som Tam papaya is most impressing dish I have ever had Excellent breakfast with fresh and new fruits. Friendly and polite staff.
Cons: Too many steps and different levels along the walk way to lobby, to pool, to room even in the guest room, therefore I had to walk carefully so as not to stumble over the unexpected step. There is no elevator, just go up stairs to the fourth floor, that may not suitable for elderly tourists or having OA knee.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved our stay and wish we stayed longer. The room was amazing. Staff were so friendly and went the extra mile to make our stay even better.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very good luxury hotel with a great Thai architecture and impeccable facility and staff. Rooms are comfortable and very practical. Kettle and coffee maker are provided. Breakfast was sumptuous and plenty with great smiley waiter.
Cons: The swimming pool could have been more attended to renew fresh towels that was missing from the sun lounge or put at disposition a table with some extra ones.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely boutique hotel, right in the middle of the Old City in Chiang Mai. We started off in their standard room, which was spacious and well appointed but we were upgraded to a bigger room after our shower could not produce hot water for 2 days in a row. This was appreciated. The pool is large, wasn't too cold and good for laps as well as lounging. The breakfast was good although more local options would have been great. Staff were able to produce a really excellent coffee each morning which always makes me happy. The courtyard (open) lobby area was elegantly appointed and perfect for quiet reading and working in the heat of the day.
Cons: Wine options at the bar were limited and very expensive.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It was such a pleasure to return each day after our activities in Chiang Mai. The courtyards are calming and full of the scent of plumerias. The whole property is full of understated elegance. It’s extremely clean and the staff exceptional. The Makkah spa is only 100 yards or so away so everything you need is close at hand
Cons: There was a bit of construction noise from the work they were doing in the library, but that may be all completed by now and shouldn’t affect future guests.
7,4 Good
Pros: Loved the hotel's landscaping and the deign of the facility. I've never seen a landscaping crew work as hard, and their efforts showed. Liked the pool a lot as well.
Cons: The staff's professionalism can really be improved. They weren't rude but They need to work on the little things. My wife asked the front desk for a list of the costs associated with the hotel's laundry service. The guy at the front desk says "it's found in the closet near the tv" (which it wasn't). This is supposed to be a five star hotel. Other places would apologize and quickly go find a list for their guests, instead of fault the blame on their guests. Additionally, there is no hair conditioner in the hotel's bathroom. I understand that some may not require this, but I'd be willing to bet a good portion of the hotel's guests do. You have to personally request conditioner from the hotel's maid service. Weird. And finally, their drink pool service has a lot to improve upon. I had to go to the hotel's other bar on the other side of the hotel to get drinks by the pool. On the last day of my stay, the hotel staff told me I could call that bar and they would deliver drinks over to the pool, but when I called, no one answered.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Fine design facilities and a sea of calm in the center of Chiang Mai. Marvelous hotel. Very nice food at the restaurant with reasonable prices. No kids policy.
Cons: WiFi was a disaster. No fitness center.

Cons: Rooms are a bit dark.air con blows in your face at night.this type of air on system is very outdated.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: the ambiance of the resort is amazing. Landscaping is par excellence
Cons: room size
9,2 Excellent
Pros: I like it is so quiet and low key luxury in this hotel. The garden is elegant and very neat.
Cons: The breakfast is more westernized than I thought, not many tasty Thai options available. The room price is much higher than most hotels in ChiangMai.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Relaxing atmosphere. Chill out time. Pool was lovely and warm. Food could not be better. Staff were outstanding.
Cons: Found the ongoing renovations were rather noisy at times close to the pool. The angle grinder and hammering were rather off putting. You had to pick your times at the pool for this reason.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Overall appearance which was matched by excellent service - great planning day wn to the smallest details
Cons: Nothing I could think of
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fabulously peaceful hotel right in the centre of town. Beautifully fitted out, helpful staff, lovely pool and gorgeous grounds. Child-free policy a huge benefit. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: Rooms are a little dark, with small windows and wide balconies; would be nice if the bar stayed open a little later, and breakfast finished a little later.

Pros: Incredible staff from the porters, the reception staff, the security staff. Incredibly kind people who cared for us very well. The rooms were very comfortable and clean.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was incredibly friendly and willing to do anything to make your stay better. We were upgraded and our room was great, the bath room was huge, it had a giant bath tub, a entire shower room and a couch in there. We went during the week in low season so we didn’t see any other guests so it was really quiet. We had the pool area to ourselves and we went to the little shop across the lane way to buy beers to enjoy in our loungers. Don’t be put off by the location, they have a shuttle to take you into town and a cab anywhere in the city is less than 5 bucks.
Cons: The food at the restaurant wasn’t bad but there is definitely better food in town, take the tuk tuk into town and grab dinner at a local restaurant.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The courtesy of the staff Details of the room Amazing swimming pool The private tuk tuk
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and attentive. Room was great.
Cons: Algae was evident on tiles around parts of the swimming pool, which was off putting when using the swimming pool. This is a key feature of the hotel but if it is not maintained properly it will have a detrimental impact on business.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel had a great value on everything such as cleanness, friendly staff, quiet environments, nice breakfast and wonderful service. Easily I could say it's the nicest one of hotels I've stayed ever. Hotel gave us lots of wonderful memories when we stayed 2 nights

Pros: Unique property in the center of the old city.
Cons: The chlorine in the pool was a little strong.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely grounds and loved the Lanna style decor of our room. All staff were helpful and kind. We did 2 excursions with the hotel and they were both excellent. Could not have asked for more!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: "You're staying at the Tamarind Village hotel? Well, that's rather old" said the Singaporean owner of a clothing shop when we were asked by her where we were staying on our trip to Chiang Mai. So if you want a spanking new luxury hotel with a gym, air flown breakfasts from all over the world, then the Tamarind isn't for you. But if you are the sort of person who appreciates entering the hotel under a cool and green canopy of bamboo grown on either side of the road and trained to shield you from the hot sun and hotter temperatures, if you like an older architecture, if you like comfortable rooms with good beds and good working air conditioners, if you like polite and well trained staff, a great pool and an excellent restaurant serving good food and excellent breakfasts, if you like a central location close to the best of Chiang Mai, then this just might be your place.
Cons: Absolutely nothing. Absolutely absolutely nothing wrong with this place.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Quiet and relaxed.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice drinks with cold towel upon arrival. Room amenities. Renovated bathrooms excellent. Breakfast with several fresh fruit choices. Lovely grounds and atmosphere. Perfect location. Have stayed a few times. Always a positive experience.
Cons: I worry that a careless guest might fall from the check-in area since the stair step to the left away from the pool is limited leaving a large gap where someone could fall. A barrier should be built.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent
Cons: With the high cost of hotel stay, it is expected to be more high-end facility.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The architecture of Tamarind Village is very old-style yet chic and classy. The suite that we stayed at is spacious, clean and well decorated. Staff there is very attentive and friendly. They helped us to set up a net above our bed to prevent mosquito which is very thoughtful. We had a lovely stay there.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is set up beautifully. Very simple yet elegant. A gem in the urban jungle.
Cons: I wish I could have stayed longer... but the hotel was already fully booked.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: the location of the hotel is fantastic; employees are all nice; breakfast is good. will definitely stay in this hotel if having a chance to visit chai mai next time.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Big and clean rooms

Pros: The views from our fourth floor room overlooking both the Mae Ping River and the resort pool were delightful. We especially enjoyed sitting on our balcony listening to the evening music. The morning breakfast was quite nice-we recommend dining outside near the fountain.
Cons: They did not have bottled water in the lobby which would have been nice for departing guests. It was also not in easy walking distance from downtown Chiang Mai. However it was only a quick 10 minute tuk tuk ride away.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staffs are superb, so helpful and friendly. Hotel is beautiful with great decoration. Breakfast is fantastic.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A chic, yet cozy place. Nice swimming pool. Good restaurant

Pros: Bed comfy
8,8 Excellent
Pros: It was very quiet and relaxing and the staff were very friendly. The buffet breakfast was also very good.
Cons: The timber decking around the pool needs to be redone. The timber slats are worn and loose and it is a safety issue. It also doesn’t look good for a hotel of this standard.

3,3 Mediocre
Cons: The place is absolutely not worth recommending to anyone as there was no assistance to pick up the bag and take to your room. The room didn’t have a fan and the AirCon was too cold for the rainy weather and mosquitoes were a huge problem and they had sprayed a chemical based mosquitoes repellent which is not expected for a hotel which is in a category of a 5 Star. They could have helped with alternate ways like citronella burnet etc. So overall a bad extortion me

Pros: The room was very attractive and well decorated, and the beds were firm and comfortable. We enjoyed having a patio by the pool. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. When we needed a tuk tuk to go to the night market, they went out to the street to find one for us. They also provide free nightly shuttles to the night bazaar and weekend shopping street, and free airport transfer. Most of all, we enjoyed the pool, which was clean, beautiful and peaceful. We would stay here again for sure.
Cons: The breakfast was too expensive and not really worth it. Even a cup of coffee was three times the price of a neighboring gourmet coffee house. The location of the hotel is right on the edge of the old town, next to a busy road, but it was still a very quiet and beautiful hotel.
6,5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: I booked the hotel based on the reviews, but to my disappointment, it didn't impress me. The staff is nice, the location is good, that's all I can say the good things about the hotel. The hotel is not big, the setting is okay, the room is out dated, the food is the worst Thai food I ever had. So don't eat your dinner their, the complimentary breakfast is not bad. I am glad I stayed at the hotel for only one night.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The overall experience was wonderful the staff were very polite and the rooms were very comfortable. The breakfast in the restaurant was delicious and dinner also. The pool is fab
Cons: Nothing

Pros: We really liked this hotel, quite central.
Cons: Pool closes 7pm
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The food was good at the restaurant. Had breakfast, lunch and dinner there. Same menu for lunch and dinner but nice enough. Staff friendly and attentive. Pool nice. Rooms spacious and clean with comfy beds.. Transport to markets was very good each night. The location wasn't near any nice places to eat or any shopping.
Cons: The location wasn't great as no restaurants or shopping nearby but that can't really be changed.

Just a great hotel - Highly reccmmened. לישראלים שבינינו - זה מאוד קרוב לבית חב"ד :) Thank you again Miss Kai - You are wonderful!

Pros: Location, location, location I really like the location of the hotel if you are wanting to be close to the bars and massage shops you are a stone throw away jump in a tuk tuk for 70 Bhatt and away you go. It's 5 minutes in a tuk tuk to all the main bars you can check on Google maps. I planned to be in a quite area where I can get to main attractions but still get a good night sleep. Service is amazing and breakfast was great I am vegan and there where plenty of options for me combining different veggies and rice. I am happy I found the place room was great we got upgraded to a delux suite when we arrived to the hotel. Room is very large with all the trimmings Kind regards Ryan Hall

Pros: It was surprizing to receive nice presents from the hotel such as a bundle of flowers, some light foods such as cookies. The tea and coffee house in front of the hotel is very nice!
Cons: I wanted to cancell one night, although I had to follow the strict rule of no cancellation. I paid the amonts of two nights for one night stay. But why is it so strict? It cannot happen in modern hotels. So, I felt the hotel too expensive.

Pros: The Chedi Chiang Mai was very tranquil with beautiful architecture and excellent personal service from the staff. The club suite rooms are stunning and very well equipped. We intend to return.

Cons: only thing can think of is the aircon in the roojm probably needs rethinking.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: I have never stayed in a hotel that was that organized in every respect. I used to work as a consultant for hotels in my younger days, and this hotel can be used as an example of the "state of the art". Please note that I am quite critical but in this case it is difficult to identify "room for improvements".Leif
Cons: Prices for laundry much exceeds for which you can buy new clothes.
7,7 Good
Pros: The service, luxury and location were all as expected. The hotel is not new but is well maintained. The limited number of rooms made for an uncrowded peaceful stay
7,0 Good
Pros: I love how much attention to detail was takened in designing and running the hotel. The place actually looks as good as you see it in pictures. The location is excellent - along the Mae Ping River (giving it an added relaxing feel), yet right beside the night bazaar.

Pros: We went here for two nights as part of our honeymoon and boy did they spoil us!! They gave us welcome chocolates fruit wine and then made up our bed with kissing elephants and our bath with flowers. It was beautiful!! Everyone was amazing .
Cons: Everything ! The fact that they really spoiled us for our honeymoon was amazing!
9,2 Excellent
Cons: They made mistakes with the billing and charges every day for three days. They charged for the laundry extra 1400 bat with no reason, charge deposit extra 30000 bat, and claim they forgot to charge one night that was very strange. I have spend more than 45 minutes to check out...
6,0 Good
Pros: The hotel
Cons: The representative in the 11th floor lounge (a man). Very rude and very pissy

Pros: Location was very central
Cons: House keeping didn’t clean the room well the whole week we were there

Pros: Comfortable. Service was great.
Cons: There was renovation ongoing during the day. We should have been warned. So planned resting during the day was impossible due to the noise of the renovation that was ongoing above our room.

Pros: Very good place in the future I be back again for sure I recommend to my friends
Cons: Everything is super good I really liked the service
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The property is fabulous and the location is excellent. Breakfast was elaborate and top of the line. The staff were very friendly and each one would even go out of the way to meet with individual requests even during peak breakfast time. The rooms are spacious, the over feel of the hotel is Grand. The pool with the slide was a big hit with the kids. The night market at walking distance is a real bonus!
7,5 Good
Pros: Staff were lovely. We were in a lounge access room, so it was nice to have access to afternoon tea and happy hour drinks and snacks. In twin beds for me the mattress was too hard, but my daughter loved hers. The staff provided me with a topper for my mattress which helped.
Cons: The hotel seems a little tired, but I guess that’s reflected in the reasonable price. I found the cleanliness of our bathroom very poor. When I mentioned it to the staff they were very apologetic, so I hope things will improve for other guests.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Shangri-La exceeded my expectations and the photos did not do it justice. Great location, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and an amazing breakfast buffet.

Pros: Pool area and views are amazing. Breakfast and dinner options were good, nice food. Pool bar not as much but still useful to have. The newer rooms are nice, though expensive. We stayed at the top and of the hill, staff very useful giving us buggy rides up to the room. Enjoyed our 2 days here but wouldn’t go back.
Cons: The cheaper rooms are old and in an old building. They don’t look like the photos anymore and smell old and musty. I complained and asked to move to a room in a new building. We were asked to pay the price difference but given a discount. Reception staff weren’t great about this- no apologies and felt like I was hassling them. All other staff were lovely though. Not a good location if wanting to explore the city. Not really any decent restaurants around the hotel either- we went to one and it was the worst food we had all trip. Hotels cars were ridiculous- 1500baht to the airport... we paid a taxi company 600 instead. We also asked for a late check out at 4pm, at first they told us yes as no new guest coming, 10 mins later they call back and tell us 2000baht an hour charge.... Overall would say good hotel for 2 days R&R if you want to pay for the expensive newer rooms, but don’t bother with the older cheaper rooms, and if you want to see the sights or want more food/ entertainment options, stay in the city.

Pros: If I could rate this place higher I would .. the people are amazing and whilst it’s not the best hotel I’ve been to.. in terms of value for money and service, it’s amazing. The shuttle bus to the old town every night is so helpful, plus pick up and drop off to the airport helps ease into Chiang Mai.
7,9 Good
Pros: The property was clean and spacious. The breakfast Buffett offered plenty of choices.
Cons: The property is a bit of a ride from the old city. The staff when we got there did not offer any information regarding what time breakfast was, how to get into town, tour options, and that there were bicycles available for guests to use. We had to ask each question very specifically. We were not even directed to elevator on arrival.

Pros: great breakfast
Cons: No complaints. top notch!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was good.. food , staff , pool , gym , the 711 was right on corner , lots of little restaurants in walking distance ..free shuttle to airport, free shuttle once a day to the night markets ..
Cons: If this hotel was in the middle of the action would be perfect but didn’t cost much to get to the centre .
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are comfortable, nice staff and services, nice little pool and excellent breakfast! Recommend.
Cons: The location is a bit far from the night market and there are almost no taxis in the area so we recommend using the local app.But the ride takes 10 minutes and at a cheap price of 100 baht thai.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast.
Cons: Very nice staff, very clean hotel. Perfect.

Pros: Very friendly and accommodating staff here at the Grand Napat. Rooms are cleaned spotlessly while you enjoy breakfast by the pool. Free movies available for rent, and great in house dining! Also, the croissants were extra flakey!

Pros: I like that all staffs working there will greet you with a slight bow and smile on their faces! That was very delightful to see every day. And the room is extremely clean
Cons: I think there is some noise from the Air Conditioning.
7,1 Good
Pros: Space, programs, and unique thai traditional feel. Bakery is awesome. Close to city. Kids program
Cons: Place is old. Not very clean. Staff could show more hospitality. Expected more from its Thai restaurant.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful resort with high level of security and friendly staffs. The area is so huge that you could stay inside for 2 days without the need to go out!
Cons: 1) Although the view and location of our villa are excellent, but lighting inside (especially the second floor) is way too dim!! So dim that it is difficult for ladies to apply makeup, and also for us to pack our luggage! We need to put our luggage near the window/balcony in order to see clearly!! Really hope they could install more lighting inside the room!! 2) We were aiming for the colonial pool when we book our stay via booking.com but end up finding it is under maintenance for a very long period! I think they should update the information on this website to inform customers about that!!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Dhara Dhevi is more than a hotel, it’s a treasury house with various historical buildings, farm fields, temples and many great things to explore.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast has wide spread. Staff are exceptional. Service were very good. We booked with a plunge pool but the jeg did not work. We've asked for repair and it cannot be fixed. But the hotel send red wine and macarons as apology. They also called to say sorry and the front desk manager sent a handwritten apology note. I really feel the sincereness of them. Very good service all over. Swimming pool is big and have complimentary ice water and fruit. The hotel is big and in well order. Really nice. The Spa was exceptional as well, though a bit expensive.
Cons: Not much, if really need to say, may be a bit far to town but that's part of the reason why it can be so relaxing. And garb a taxi to the town is easy, typically only 75Bhat.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Everything else...
Cons: The coffee at the breakfast buffet...is something you might expect from a lesser hotel. a real barista machine similar to what the hotel has in the Allegro restaurant is what should be expected from a hotel of this calibre.
7,9 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, nice amenities like the library where you can borrow thousands of DVD‘s to enjoy.
Cons: Was my second visit and I feel really sad that the maintenance and attention to details dropped a lot. It was one of my favorite places but it lose his shine... unfortunately...
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The villas were large and spacious, kept clean and the staff was excellent!
7,9 Good
Pros: It's a quiet and comfortable hotel.
Cons: The property is a bit old, need renovation.

Pros: I appreciate how helpful & friendly staff was. Breakfast was included & it was nice to get fresh eggs to order as well as Asian & Western choices. First time to Thailand- decor was very old school colonial - the room was huge & bathroom modern. I got a Thai massage & booked several tours thru hotel as well as airports csnt think of a transportation to and from - would go back in a heart beat.
Cons: I can’t think of a thing. I was very happy there.

5,0 Okay
Pros: It is located in the heart of city.
Cons: So many mosquitoes. It was so annoying and they did not do anything after we told the staffs there. It was disappointing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We love this hotel so much that we have returned twice in 5 years.
Cons: Nothing. Everything is perfect.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Room.is traditional and beautifully decorated. Comfortable with spa bath and balcony. Because of the mess up with our room we got a complementary thai massage which really helped relax us after the stress on arrival.
Cons: We arrived early morning after the first night booked...so that we could rest from our train journey we booked a night earlier so not to worry about check in times. We even message the day before to inform them what time we were coming. However, when we arrived they had changed our booking from King bed to twin so we had to wait for them to prepare a room and so didnt get to sleep until the room issue was solved. Disappointing as we have been at this hotel before and never had a problem like this.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A small boutique hotel, beautifully decorated and very comfortable, with lovely staff. Great attention to detail. Situated in the centre of the old town
Cons: Breakfast not so good for Europeans, perhaps different types of bread would help

Pros: Excellent staff, especially Sasi at the front desk counter who always had a smile on her face and was very helpful. Will also like to recommend Miss.Sophia at the Travel Desk who helped us with our local sightseeing plans. Very good location.
Cons: The room was a bit dark however had no complaints since most of the time we were out and the building orientation is such that one side gets all the light.

Pros: The spa in the resort is good. Location is convenient, the building is very classy. Good to stay in a room where you can jump into the pool anytime.
Cons: The shower does not work quite well, has some sort of weird sound and weak emission from the shower head. The room is a bit dark and has mosquitoes. I was woken up several times during my sleep due to itchiness from mosquito bites. Not much varieties of food provided in breakfast.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly, facilities were good, location was good and the room was very clean.
Cons: The breakfast could’ve been better, but we’re vegetarian so would be fine for meat eaters.
6,7 Good
Pros: Have stayed here in 3 occasions over 6 years .. this visit the place was looking a little tired as well as the staff organising airport transfer were less than helpful and tried to increase the price on 3 occasions from 200 bht to 1000 for a taxi which was extortion really .. I went on line and booked my own car service for 450 bhat despite it being an early am pick up .. The food at breakfast was also not to the standard of a hotel that charges premium prices ..I was disappointed this stay and next time in Chiang Mai I have found alternative in better location and better price .
Cons: The tour taxi organisers in hotel

Pros: The pool and room was lovely. Staff were very friendly, helpful and polite from our pick up at the airport u TIL we left. The rooms were beautiful and the restaurant across the road for breakfast was lovely. Great location just a short walk into town and has a few restaurants close by. Nice quiet location. We had a few early morning tours which the reception kindly offered us packed breakfasts.
Cons: Felt the hydro pool and steam room should have been available for guests Included in the room rate.
