Breakfast was great! They catered to our needs plus was a great variety. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. We bought our lift passes for the Goryu mountain at the hotel and it was cheaper. The location was great, walkable to the mountain but not the ski in and ski out that I thought it would be. Was within walking distance to a few restaurants. Onsen was great!
Great place to relax with the onsen after skiing, the staff provides excellent service and is so helpful. Even though it is located less than 500m from the Goryu lift , the hotel bus will drop you to the lift in the morning at 8:40 and pick you up on request in the evening at 4:40 pm Nice place to stay. I would recommend it.
It met our expectations for the reasonable price. Clean and functional room, 3 single beds with warm heating. One cupboard for hanging was a little bit limiting as we kept most belongings in our suitcase. Breakfast was included in price. It was generous in the offering of western or Asian variety. Very subdued atmosphere. We enjoyed the on site inside onsen. It was only small but each time we visited we had mostly to ourselves. The outdoor onsen is inside an outside building and can be booked for groups after 21.00. Junko at front desk us always friendly and helpful. She communicated well prior to our arrival and had everything ready for our 2am arrival. She also gave out a map pointing out all the local restaurants. Enough restaurants on offer for a weeks stay to try a new one each night. Recommend RESTAURANT R. We appreciated the free locker for skis and boots, and also the daily morning shuttle to escal plaza for goryu & Hakuba 47 slopes. It’s within 5 minutes walking distance. Highly recommend sanasaka ski resort (only 10 minutes away) for a fun less crowded option. We had it to ourselves mid week with fresh snow. We would recommend and hopefully return some day.
The room would benefit from hooks or some shelving. The hotel was not conducive to socialisation with other guests. Very quite at night.
Close to ski slope, onsen Close to 2 restaurants that were open, although one was fully booked.
The restaurant was closed and there was no bar. The room was dingy and the bed was the hardest in japan.
Shuttle to bus stop and station is very helpful. Location is awesome, within 10mins of Escal plaza. Spacious and neat rooms! Huge comfy bed! Breakfast is delicious as everyone else mentioned. The outside onsen is also a nice place to wind down after a cold day on the slopes. Excellent atmosphere inside.
- the 24 hr shared shower smells a bit probably due to disuse...but the private bathroom is very clean! - Pillows are small and not very supportive....
