5 minutes walk from Zoo metro. Basic and functional, suited to my overnight stay before travelling.
My room was next door to another that was being renovated, and the workmen were constantly shouting to each other. I speak Chinese and they were just chatting as they worked, but they seemed incapable of doing so at a normal volume that wouldn't disturb guests. Ironically, the work noise was non~existant, the noise problem was just their overly loud voices. Either brief your workmen to respect the guests by keeping noise as low as possible OR give guests rooms away from maintenance work!
Location is too hard to find
The lo cátion is great! You can find anything around it.
There was no refrigerator in the room, they have not change the bedsheets for the 4 nights we stayed and the staff (not all) was very unhappy and not friendly at all.
Comfortable, good bed, nice stuff
In general all good, no conplaints
Perfect place to rest your bodies after a long travel from one border to another. You'll find the place comfortable with queen size beds, huge amount of space and toilet that fit to your needs. A phone line, dimmer lights, fully functional AC and a keycard room so it's makes an extra security while we're away from the place. Not over crowded building and near supermarkets, grocery, convenience stores and fast food areas. It's just few minutes away from the Zoo Metro which will be your launching pad to Canton Tower, Railway Station and other sites of Guangzhou. High standard of cleanliness just like any other hotel, reasonable price per night and best of all, very accommodating staffs that will help you navigate the place and assist you as needed. For future back packers here's how to get to the place: Exit Zoo Metro Station facing Huanshi E Road At the outside, walk left until you reach Shuiyin Road Once at the corner, walk at the right area of the street where you can see Family Mart, Grocery Store and Guangzhou Bank Stop at the first Police Station / Post (just after the bank) and walk inside that small street / alley Just few meters away you'll see the building
It took us couple of hours before we figure out as to where the Inn is located as there were no signs from the main street stating which way. Google map is not working in China but good thing Maps from IPhone does but it still does not respond to our queries as to the exact location. We head back and forth along Shuiyin Road, circling around the areas and asking locals about the place, showing the pictures and place in Chinese but we couldn't get our luck. We're soaking wet due to heavy rain and our body felt tired and exhausted. We called the Inn twice but they only stated near the Guangzhou Bank and it's yellow building, not much of a detail. When we browse through the Inn's review again and trace everything per instruction, that's where we found the place. It will be better and save time for future backpackers, if appropriate signs can be placed. The building is hidden at the back of other buildings and there's a lot of police posts and markets / grocery stores too (which other reviewers post) which makes it more confusing.
