Staff were very friendly and helpful. Saw swimming pool was locked and covered, said we wanted to use it and it was unlocked and uncovered before we could get back down with swimming stuff, Quite a bit of refurbishment done so hotel is looking good inside, building itself is not very attractive but do not be put off.
Breakfast selection was good but not stunning ie no fruit, probably because there were very few guests. Suspect it would have been available had we asked for it.
Friendly/helpful staff. Comfortable rooms, lovely breakfast.
Nothing everything was perfect.
Staff were lovely and helpful.
The fixtures and fittings, whilst clean, are appearing a little dated.
I gave rating of 1 because I couldn't go any lower. I've not seen a more shabby, outdated and dirty hotel than this. From the pile of mattresses in the carpark with black mould that tells it's been out there for at least 6 months, to the interior that looked old , outdated and falling apart, to the disgusting pool area that had missing slabs and rusty rails to the lift that felt like a death trap. These are all before you get into the room. Room was extremely small with a very small bed that had springs poking me from the cheap low quality mattress, it had outdated old looking funiture, dirty stained carpet and a tiny 14inch television. The bathroom was cheap and shabby with the toilet seat falling to one side, the shower had no pressure, so bad that I checked out without having a shower. And, I paid almost £150 for a night of this nonsense, when I can get Hilton for £80. Such ripoff and greed should be illegal, it should be criminalised. I forgot to mention that the staff were friendly but I will definitely not stay here again, not even for free.
