Really well located
A bit too noisy
The breakfast was awful, I got stomach sick from that bacon and those eggs they were putrid and apart from that it was only until 9 am!!! You cant make us wake up that early for that awful breakfast on holidays! The system of leaving the keys wasn’t good either.
Breakfast was ok.
Hotel was unloved, unkempt, old fashioned but not in a good way , badly needs updating and a refurb. It was like stepping back into the early 80s. Bins outside, near the front door and seating area, were full and smelly, ashtrays were over flowing. Over priced even for the city.
Newly painted and carpeted. Helpful reception.
Hand rails on steps outside. Staff talking loudly in yard beneath my room late.
The staff were the best , very very helpful couldn’t do enough for you the lady that was on sorry can’t remember her name, even took our cases to our room as I have walking difficulties at present and we were early for checking so she gave us name of restaurant to go to while waiting , she said other people said it was great and it was . When we arrived back our cases were in our room , so thankyou again for that . They gave us a change of room so we could be closer to the main entrance. The full English breakfast was fantastic , plenty choice and staff was great in dining room also .Another man at reception gave us info on where to go in the evening , which we took his advice and had a fantastic night out thanks for that . I can’t praise this little gem of a place enough and will certainly be back there again if I go visit Glasgow at any time and would recommend the Victoria house hotel to anybody , but just to add there is some stairs from street to front door so might not be suitable for a person in a wheel chair . Thank you to all Lauraine
I liked everything
