Cons: The view of the male onsen of the Great Panorama Bath on the 9th floor is not great: It just looks at the train station.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: The best value with the best price
Cons: Nothing
6,3 Good
Cons: The dining experience was quite a disappointment. We didn’t have the usual relax and enjoyable experience as we would normally have. The server seems to be very busy and tried to rush through the set up. The onsen was also a disappointment. The outdoor one was a small tub which can only fit 4 people max comfortably. the building and rooms are also fairly old and need touch up.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Unless you have a higher budget, you can't ask for more. Staff are super nice, in room dining are excellent, hot spring is comfortable too.
Cons: Apart from hot spring and dining, a small shop, there is no other facilities. However, it is more than enough in an onsen.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing dinner and breakfast served in our room. Extremely gracious host and staff. Lots of little special touches, like fresh flowers in the room and buckwheat pillows!
Cons: A little worn, but if you don’t mind a little rustic it’s an extremely good value.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The foods are great, employees are nice, and the onsen Is really comfort, suitable for family’s trip or go with partner.
Cons: It’s a pity that the view in my room is blocked by the construction site opposite to the hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All staffs are very nice and hotel is very clean. Great services and food.
Cons: Nothing
Izumiso - Gero - Building

9,2 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was good. location was relatively easy to get to through the JR line. onsen was clean. rooms were comfortable and well furnished. staff was super friendly
Cons: wish the view out of the room were better.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hostel is operated by a Japanese couple. The wife speaks very good English. Good location and near every thing. There is also free pickup service. Onsen is good with both outside and inside pools.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly welcome and stay. Felt personal always asking about our day and plans. We went half board and the food was excellent, beautifully presented and great to taste a bit of everything. In-house onsen was a big plus and was clean and while compact, perfect for our stay.
Cons: Not a negative exactly, but may take getting used to if by shared bathroom you are still used to having a cubicle or privacy to shower.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This is your traditional Ryokan, with everything you would expect there. There owners are friendly and will try to make you feel at home. The onsen is really nice too. Last but not least, it is located inside of Gero, close to every intersting place you may want to see.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owners. They spoke good english (something quite rare in Japan. Most hotels/hosts say they can speak other languages but they just use a translation app which makes things tricky). Nice ample room and private toilet. Bathroom is shared -japanese style. Nice little onsen provided as well. Owners exceeded our expectation with the onsen use as well as providing information about Gero. Izumi-So is within walking distance of pretty much everything in Gero (restaurants and other onsen included). A few car park spaces available too. I would definitely visit again.
Cons: Nothing to say really. I guess if you're shy it would make taking a bath in front of others tricky. But you'll definitely find a time when there are no other users to take advantage of the bathing facilities and the onsen.

4,0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was served early
Cons: Pictures better than the facility
10,0 Excellent
Pros: hot spring
Cons: I booked non smoking room but when I get in there is still a heavy smell of smoking.
7,9 Good
Pros: Buffets were plentiful, nice onsen, large room.
Cons: futon bed very thin, so a bit uncomfortable. Property a little old. A short hike down to the middle of town, so a steep uphill walk back.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: This hotel the feeling is not a traditional japanese hotel. The hotel is large enough to get around and can find a few things to do. The onsen is good in particular the outdoor which has a good view of the Gero township. Both dinner buffet & breakfast are good!
Cons: no.
7,5 Good
Pros: i've really love it the hot spring of hotel kusakabe armeria
Cons: amenities like toothbrush its too hard and hair brush so very small
7,5 Good
Pros: The outdoor onsen was nice, . The dinner buffet was nice, we enjoyed the quality of the food but the 1,5 hour limit was too pressuring for us and we didn't enjoy a relaxing dinner as we hoped for. The view from the hotel was good and the hotel provides a shuttle bus. The hotel staff was very responsive, but they only responded in Japanese when communicating prior to check-in. In the hotel you can communicate in English.
Cons: The indoor onsen needs refurbishing. The corridor in the hotel smelled. The hotel is slightly outdated, but kept in a reasonable state. The fridge is unusable.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good location and good service as usual in Japan.
Cons: Room is dated. Renovation is needed.

Featured amenities include luggage storage, an elevator, and a water dispenser. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge, and free self parking is available onsite.
6,0 Good
Pros: Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Easy parking.
Cons: We stayed for one night at Yamagataya when we visited Gero Onsen. Room is very clean, just a bit dated. We had a one-person onsen tub at the balcony but it was very small the water was too hot so we ended up using the pubic one. The outdoor public onsen was nice and comfortable. However the indoor one was a bit dated compare to the picture on their website. Dinner was served in kaiseki type but was just okay. The older lady who served us seemed really rush and we finished everything in slightly over an hour. And she wasn't too willing to explain the dishes. A bit rush for a kaiseki kind of experience. This is the third onsen hotel we stayed during this trip and we are frequent onsen visitors and have visited many onsen hotels before. This hotel unfortunately is not really meeting our expectation.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Clean facilities, kind and friendly staff, good dining and breakfast, walking distance from the station(but when getting off at the train station, there are onsen buses waiting for us!)
Cons: A bit small onsen but I like seeing the night lights while having the onsen time. Rail sound might be a bit noisy but it was okay for me.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Only the location.
Cons: Inefficient check-in process; unhelpful staff; poor manners. Worn out room conditions and malfunctioning facilities; Failure of facilities, even with an onsite upgrade for a charge.
5,4 Okay
Cons: service staff does not appear to know what they are doing. food not good for the price.
