Breakfast was good. Staff was warm friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and spacious. Had a cosy fire place to enjoy drinks and conversation after a day at the slope. Close to the Gondola (for skiers) Staff were also extremely helpful in helping us arrange our travel arrangements and cancellation when we had to cut short out trip due to sudden injury. Value for money.
I liked everything about the property, easy walk to the Gondola, well run and very clean, lovely breakfast, fantastic hosts.
Good range and service
Chest of drawers in the room would be useful.
The host Michael and manager Mamoko were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We were picked up from the railway station which saved a taxi fare. The B&B is very cosy with a communal area around a wood fire where you can relax after a days skiing and chat to other guests and compare notes. The breakfast is very good and there is plenty of variety. Tea and good filter coffee are available anytime. The room is very comfortable and had two single beds which we pushed together. The pillows are great and the heating is very good. The bathroom is small but very adequate and the shower and bath are small but very good. There is also a massage chair which is good for relaxing after a days skiing. We found the location to be excellent and only a short walk up the hill to the Gondola. You can store your skis and boots in the drying room at the B&B but I would recommend using the ski storage at the gondola which costs 100 yen to save carrying them up and down each day. There are lockers for your boots and other items there as well. We hired skis, boots and helmets from Good Sports which is over the road from the Gondola and they were happy for us to leave our gear there overnight. Good Sports have options to hire ski gear online at a reduced rate prior to our arrival and we used this option though you have to pay up front. You get more choice of skis with this option. The skiing at Furano is very good though this year there was not much new snow so limited powder skiing unless you wanted to go hunting for it off-piste. There are plenty of small restaurants near by where you can get great food at very reasonable prices though you may have to wait or go early to get a seat. There are also Hotels with onsens - Naturwald and Bell Hills where you have to pay and can go after 3pm. We really enjoyed our stay at Furano B&B.
Mike and rest of staff were great.
