Pros: The host (a kind Japanese gentleman) was really warm and hospitable. We arrived early at the B&B when they were cleaning the room, the gentleman offered us drinks and snack while he expedited the cleaning to allow early check-in. As it was snowing, the kind gentleman drove us to our designated venues twice as it was challenging to walk to the locations.

3,0 Mediocre
Pros: - location.
Cons: - poor facilities - extremely outdated - very unhelpful staff - terrible buffet
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: The free hot cocoa in the lobby
Cons: This hotel is very old and outdated. The Outdated appliances don’t work, the pillows and beds are flat and hard, and the staff did not speak english well and were not helpful
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent customer service and fantastic breakfast selections! Very family oriented resort. Perfect for a winter getaway. Furano Ski Resort is only a shuttle bus away. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Onsite ski gear rental facility and staff are great. Many convenience touches such as onsite coin laundry, library, snacks and drinks.
Cons: The facility itself is somewhat outdated but still comfortable. In late December, there weren't many food choices open near by. You can either have dinner at the hotel (which is quite good but maybe too pricey to have every night), or go for a 10 minute walk in the snow to the curry restaurant nearby or visit the 7-11.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: All the little extras included in the price. Massive delicious buffet breakfast to fill you up for a long day skiing. After skiing free delicious snacks, desert bar, beer, 24hr free coffee, tea and soft drinks as well as ice-cream. Loved the catch up with other Hotel guests while enjoying our snacks. Free toiletries and very comfy pillows at reception. The Onsen was another great experience after a long day skiing. Very comfy Samui supplied which many hotel guests wore around the hotel, going to breakfast or Onsen.
Cons: Lack of English speaking staff, only ~2 with English ok signs and one very helpful guy who had an App on his phone. Not very informed about what's happening or shuttle buses to other resorts - Tourist Information at the gondula much more informed. We got by for the 2 weeks in exploring and finding out information ourselves

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Once you settle into its routines, easy hotel to spend ski vacation. The catch is that you need to put in effort to figure it out. The ropeway is awesome with a mountain top restaurant that our kids loved!
Cons: Two BIG complaints. First the bellboy misplaced few pieces of our luggage on arrival, the system wasn’t very sharp here. Second, the ski rental people actually take away your rented skis if left in the common racks. We thought it was good precaution and service but turns out they consider them ‘lost’!!! Out to make a few more tiny bucks from unwary guests...? Oddly mischievous...
7,5 Good
Pros: Close to the skiing area. Nice Onsen.
Cons: Too far from Furano. No bar between 16.00 and 19.00!! A bit inflexible a times
7,5 Good
Pros: Location , convenience, bread shop
Cons: Pricey for what it is, breakfast is not really good and very busy
6,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good with lots of variety offered. The outdoor onsen was beautiful experience with the forest trees facing. Had dinner at the Japanese restaurant with beef sukiyaki set for 2 pax, the serving was sufficient and service was good as the staff helped to cook.
Cons: The onsen was on the other side of the hotel and had to walk quite a distance.
7,0 Good
Pros: The locker room is very close to ski lift.
Cons: The facility is a bit old and not many restaurants at the hotel. For skiers, lunch facility have limited menu.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great host, very wonderful breakfast (American-style breakfast with a lot of local green + a slice of in season melon). The homestay was nicely decorated.
Cons: No air-conditioner in the room, only 1 small table fan, thus it may get stuffy during summer. Although there's mosquito net @ windows, there's still quite a number of flying bugs getting into the room.

Cons: Could have had en suite bathrooms. Could provide towels free of charge

5,0 Okay
Pros: Dinner and breakfast were great!
Cons: the room smelt like cigarettes and decor are so old and dirty looking. Did not feel comfortable with the pillows too.
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: The building architecture is beautiful .
Cons: Service staff were not helpful when I had a question about a credit card charge from a Furano Prince hotel. Even though I realised it was from the other Prince, they could have been more helpful from the beginning rather than just tell me, no, no, no and rather rudely.. The TV in the room is Super tiny which is so strange in this day and age. For a room that is priced at nearly USD300, the bathroom is so tight you can’t open the door easily to get in. It’s also a pity that the in-house onsen doesn’t have an outdooor bath as the surrounding is beautiful. All in all, sorry but not a property I would visit again.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Ski in ski out!
Cons: Was difficult to visit other ski resorts.

5,8 Okay
Pros: Setting outside the town in a rural surroundings Japanese style.
Cons: You have to get used to sleeping on the floor
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff and lovely outdoor onsen with a view on snowy hils. Breakfast was great - very good yoghurt and croissants. We travelled with our baby and knew in advance we would have to bring our own cot for her, but the lay-out of our room was unexpectedly suitable for that - a sitting area screened off and with its own lights so that we could make it dark for her but still have lights on in our area.
Cons: Ski rental - the staff was very helpful and the gear is good but for tall people there isn't much choice; you might be better off renting at the shops at the bottom of one of the cable cars.
7,5 Good
Pros: The surroundings of the hotel
Cons: Did not clean up my room after the first night.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing beds and space.
Cons: Short breakfast time.
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The room we got was not worth the money we paid. It was small and narrow and dangerous for older folks to get to the attic beds
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice secluded location. Hot spring. Shuttle bus to the slopes. Very nice breakfast.
Cons: Hotel was a bit out of main strip but in a walking distance to shops. Facilities are a bit old. Loud at times but everyone was quiet after 8pm.

Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Toilet
Pension Young House - Furano - Building
17
7,1 Good (156 reviews)
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Property is a very short walk to the lift and gondola station, perfect for getting in a good nights rest and waking up late as possible to hit the snow. Rooms are simple but sufficient since you are only there morning and night if you plan to ski from open to close. Heating works well, I didn’t feel The cold once. The dry room has plenty of space, tools are available to service boards or skis etc. can be accessed from the outside so you don’t need to remove your boots. Communal fridges allow you to store food for breakfasts or dinners etc. rooms are equipped with a kettle to allow you to satisfy your ramen or green tea cravings at any time. Washing and drying facilities available to keep your clothes fresh. Vending machines available for a cheeky alcoholic beverage or a morning pick me up.
Cons: Possibly an addition of a waxing station would have been quite handy. Unless you had to ask for it at reception however I was not aware of that.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location location location. Did I say the location is excellent?
Cons: Limited facilities, but it is a pension. You shouldn't expect much. Over all no complaints.
7,0 Good
Pros: The location is amazing, across the road from the gondola. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Cons: Beds not overly comfortable.
6,0 Good
Pros: -The twin bed rooms are large for japanese standards With a good gas heater. Decently comfy beds. -There is a share fridge with freezer (basic hostel rules) (Reccomend going into town on the first day and stock up on frozen meals, bento meals, cereal, milk etc) -There is some basic plates, bowls and cutlery -Wash up kitchen sink -Microwave is the only cooking utensil. -Directly in front of kitanomine ski field. Location is excellent. -Goodsports furano just next door for ski hire. About 3 min walk. -Bus stop just in front of ski field is close to pension. Buses run every hour or so from main furano train station. Overall its a place to stay so you can ski youre not staying in your room admiring the view. If youre a budget traveller and in your 20's its perfect. Probably not suitable for those expecting more. Its still one of the cheapest accomodations in the area. Id reccomend it.
Cons: This place is a mixed bag. And after reading other reviews i thought id give more info. Its a very simple pension hotel and you pay for what you get. (The following arent total negatives but an observation to let people know what they are in for) -The shower is an open bath onsen style as this is the japanese norm for this style of accomodation with a large open shower area with no privacy. This means you will be showering in front of others if they are in there. (This was initially a concern of ours when booking but we said when in rome. If you go super early of late your unlikely to see anyone. We didnt see anyone entire 5 night stay and the place was fully booked. (But we jumped in for a 5 min shower and got in and got out) So be prepared for this. Overall the accomodation is pretty basic and a little worn but your here to ski. -Share toilets on the same floor as rooms. But this is fine by hostel standards no issues. Food facilities in the area. -There are fully stocked supermarkets in town across the bridge this is a 25 min walk with lots of food. But there is a 711 just down the road 5mins which has a decent range of bentos etc the same you can get across japan.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly. The facilities were clean. Great location!
Cons: Beds were uncomfortable.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was brilliant, just across the road from the gondola and lift. Bath was hot and the family room (mixed western and tatami) had enough room for the four of us.
