Good location, a bit different from normal hotel rooms, even includes some wine in the fridge.
Our tree house was right in the middle so a it overlooked, but not a big problem.
The location was good, right in the centre of the village. The restaurant food was only 'fast-food' options but the meal we had was well cooked. The room was clean and the campsite felt safe.
Essentially the whole place felt like an 18-30 party venue, with lots of drinking going on. We were the oldest couple on site by a good 30 years so we felt totally out of place. Most of the other guests were backpackers. We were put into a Gecko cottage which was rather small and basic and the combined toilet & shower room was extremely small. It felt like student accommodation.
The location and the restaurant.
Our motel room felt like a dormitory as we had 1 double, 1 single and a set of bunk beds and no sofa which was odd as there was only 2 of us and we had booked early in the year so it was not a last minute booking. Apparently we had been given a family room! Also the bathroom was very tired looking and the whole floor stayed wet once you had a shower. It was more like a backpackers hostel than a retreat.
We only stayed in a motel room for 1 night whilst passing through, however the close proximity to food and drinks was very handy
Stayed in a treehouse for two nights- very clean and comfortable with all amenities plus a substantial breakfast basket which was delivered the evening before. Property is set within tropical planting and really gives you the feel of being away from it all. Would highly recommend this place for exploring the glacier. There is also a restaurant and bar which has a good vibe and food.
