Great downtown location in good walking distance to attractions.
Hostess at check in was rude and unaccommodating and we had to park our car and come back later to get our bags because they wouldn't check them for us. First room smelled like garbage and it took two different people hours apart to get them to move us.
The history and location.
Room was very clean and comfortable. Check in and out was a breeze with such great staffing.
Facilities kind of old
Staff is friendly and attentive, at the front desk and breakfast room. The room is spacious and the position of the hotel is within minutes from a lot of interesting things in downtown Fort Worth. Parking is expensive though and should rather use a public parking at half price, which may also occasionally be faster as sometimes the valet parking can take a few good minutes to bring the car. The breakfast is good but some more veggies would make it even better. The room can be darkened completely, which of course helps sleeping.
Plenty. For this kind of hotel, with this name and this kind of expectations, it looks very dated, with things broken (shower curtain was hanging on a thread, half of the channels on the teli were garbled due to poor reception), carpets are worn out, air conditioning is noisy, minibar is old but at least empty. Worse, having forgotten an item in the room at checkout, I called back after an hour or so and was told the hotel cannot call internationally, as I'm from Europe. Seriously??? At 250$ a night, they can't afford a 10sec phone call to say whether yes or no the item was found in the room? I found this to be a lousy service, the lowest category hotel in Europe would call anywhere in the world without hesitation.
History lovers pack their bags once they hear about this location. The historic Hilton Fort Worth, once known as Hotel Texas, is a legendary destination, memorialized as the location of 35th President John F Kennedy’s final address on the morning of November 22, 1963.
The elegant Texas landmark is situated in downtown Fort Worth, near significant cultural and historical attractions, including Sundance Square, The Fort Worth Cultural District, and the notable Stockyards Rodeo. Many art galleries and museums, thriving entertainment scenes, and delicious restaurants are all within walking distance of the hotel. The Fort Worth Water Gardens, Fort Worth Zoo, Museum of Science and History, and the Botanical Garden are also just a few minutes away.
Hilton Fort Worth offers plenty of amenities and extras for guests. An on-site business center and 25,000 square feet of space, including the room where JFK shared his final speech, draw business travelers, while a fitness room, pantry market, snack shop, and on-site dining draw other guests.
Designed with comfort and convenience in mind, accommodations at Hilton Fort Worth provide a place to unwind or to catch up on work in an elegant setting. Offering a variety of guestrooms, suites, and amenities, the hotel ensures all needs of every guest is met. Rooms are divided into guestrooms, luxurious suites, and executive rooms. Each room comes with thoughtfully-appointment amenities and necessities.
While travelers may not be able to sleep in the same room as the Kennedys on the eve of that fateful morning in American history, they can still stay at JFK Presidential Suite 1530 featuring 2,200 square feet dedicated to JFK’s legacy.
