Pros: Great for families. This was our first visit to this Marriott - we have been to the Marbella resort many times but now prefer this location. A great choice if you have children. Beach is right by the pools, children are able to use all swimming pools and the kid’s club and family entertainment was great. Lovely clean apartments with good facilities such as play parks and shop on site.

Cons: Outdoor pools were cold and could do with heating- regulars told us they are cold in the height of summer. The bar area by the pool was soulless and not a place you’d want to go to have drinks in the evening. I’m not sure I would consider this a holiday option if we didn’t have two children under the age of 6! Also, we came slightly out of season- I imagine pool areas would be pretty busy and tightly packed if resort was full.

Cons: Having to pay for it. We have Marriott points but under your system we were not allowed to transfer our week from Marbella to Estepona. This was in spite of the fact that the resort was clearly not fully booked. Staff did not believe it when it was reorted that the coffee machine had a US plug and did not work- until they came to see it! Normally attention is more rapid than on this occasion. Note, my daughter was the guest and I booked on her behalf and she has asked me to give feedback on her behalf. I am a Marriott member.

Cons: The location is a littel remote from any other restaurants and the on site bars and restaurants are too expensive. We therefore cooked alot of meals for ourselves as each apartment has a full kitchen

Pros: Kempinski an incredible experience with amazing staff and excellent food. The view from this hotel is beautiful and the pool area is stunning as well as the lobby, Perfect! We had a suite with a huge terrace, the room itself has everything you need, clean and spacious which was so nice we almost didn’t want to go out. The staff are friendly and helpful, also... be prepared to be in love with Lola y Paquito! Regarding the food, we totally recommend croquetas, ceviche and the salmon at Baltazár or the Lobster Paella and Quinoa salad at Spiler Beach Club! One more tip - don’t miss the sunset at Spiler with a good gin, tuna tacos and the beach in a few steps. It definitely worth to explore the surroundings (for jogging or just for a quite walk and enjoy the view). We highly recommend Kempinski Hotel Bahia and will come back, for sure!

Cons: The main pool was out of order for our entire stay but I understand it was for urgent repairs. It was a shame as the last time I stayed at this hotel there were major, noisy works going on on the beach. I appreciate neither of these were the fault of the hotel though.

Cons: Threw mattresses in the twin bedroom that is normally used for kids were too hard. And when a kid is using them, so having a lighter weight, they are very uncomfortable.

Cons: The hotel was built in 1964, and it needs alot of upgarding. Our room had a fould smell, the hotel in general had a old and mildew smell to it. Would not recommend it or stay there again
