Everything clean and tidy...but tiny room on 4th floor ..no lift ! Breakfast very good..lots of choice. Only German TV..in German..thin walls made sounds travel into and from the room. Bathroom-Toilet door was see-through glass!
Poor location..in a back street, miles from City centre. Downtown and Messe easy to reach by tram & U-Bahn Needed taxi to locate from Borbeck train staton. This is not a " Hotel"..it's a 1* or 2* B/B Pensione

very quite location and not far from the city centre (tram stop not more than 500 m away), nice breakfast room. room not very large, but comfortable and clean. tiny bathroom, but complete with everything! standard breakfast. If I had to go back to Essen, I certainly would get there again!

Staff was helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was good. We had the family room and it was huge. Good lighting in the bathroom with lots of space for our things.
It's about 500 meters to the closest tram stop, which was OK for us but might be a bit far for some. The wireless internet worked well but was slow in the evenings.
