Staff very friendly, very hot water for a bath, poached eggs were so good
The room/bathroom were very cold - thankfully there was a fan heater in the wardrobe. A few extra blankets would have been good
Excellent characterful guest house in convenient location. Really friendly owner/staff
Everything was perfect, so much better than other guest houses I have stayed at in Ely
Excellent guest house in Ely with a really friendly owner. As a regular traveller who has stayed in many of the local guest houses - this one puts the others to shame. Lovely old house, nice gardens and plenty of private parking.
Everything was great
Easy access and parking. Breakfast was very good Staff we did see were pleasant
Ensuite was so small, just enough room to turn around, water from sink hardly came out the tap,and freezing cold to start with, had to run for a while till warmer water came through. Getting up one morning, with no staff around, arrived on premises just as we had decided to go back to room, even though we were told breakfast was from 0730,and this was 0815. Hanging wardrobe space limited.
The breakfast was very good (omelette). The waitress was also very good - attentive, positive and welcoming. The location was perfect for visits to the city and family.
The guest house is in need of redecorating and modernization (tlc) both inside and out. There were no lights on driveway/car park in the evening/nights. Whilst clean, the toilet was a tight squeeze and an ordour came from possibly the shower cubicle - maybe from moldy mat?
