The whole experience was amazing
The shower smelt a bit and the bath drained whilst in it
The atmosphere, the history of the place, its prime location, and so many other things...
There is nothing I could think of... everything was EXCELLENT!
Loved the opulence of the Witchery r the spaciousness of our suite.
We were disappointed that there was no bar or residents lounge to people watch.
Both of the rooms I booked were wonderful. The Refectory was incredible. So was the Armory. Breakfast was perfect! Staff very courteous and helpful.
The Refectory shower was adequate. I was concerned that it would not drain fast enough but it did not overflow. The Armory shower was a bit tricky for a tall American to negotiate. Even though there was a shower head it was really meant only for bathing not for a shower.
The Witchery by The Castle is an iconic and luxurious spot in Edinburgh, Scotland. Noted for its lavish accommodations and gourmet dining, it is part of the famous Old Town and gazes out at some of the city’s most storied locations. The Edinburgh Royal Mile, Princes Street and, of course, the Castle are only minutes by foot. Grassmarket, Central Library, the National Gallery, the National Museum of Scotland, University of Edinburgh, Camera Obscura and many other landmarks are steps away. Edinburgh Airport is less than seven miles from the hotel, as well.
With such a location, it is ideal for leisure travelers as well as business professionals. The amenities include Scotland’s most famous restaurant (with the same name as the hotel) as well as the Secret Garden, with their baroque interiors and original oak paneling are a must whether a guest or not. There is also a 24-hour front desk and a concierge, free Wi-Fi, dry cleaning and laundry services, terraces, afternoon tea, and daily breakfast.
There are only nine opulent suites in the hotel, and all of them are sized for two visitors. Each is decorated with luxury as the goal and given a distinct theme and name. Choose from gothic glamour in The Vestry Suite or dark drama in Sempill. There is the theatrical setting of The Old Rectory and rich glamour of The Inner Sanctum. Visitors may also opt for The Library, The Heriot, The Armory or The Guardroom. The Turret is also available and offers stunning views.
Unforgettable accommodations and luxury await those who stay at The Witchery by The Castle in Edinburgh.
