Room heating on timer
The location was excellent. The route from reception to our room was long and twisty but it added a feeling of seclusion which was perfect!
The heating was a bit sketchy and not consistent. It was either freezing or sweltering because the radiators were locked at the temp and controlled by either turning it on or off at the wall. The shower door wasn’t fixed in, fell off when you opened/closed it. Couldn’t open the room window either as the lock was completely broken and fallen off. Tv couldn’t be tilted despite the wall bracket as was loose.
1st, it would've been better when the receptionist greet us first instead of the other way around after a few second we stood in front of the desk. 2nd, it wouldnt be too much to ask when she explains things on her feet instead of being comfortamble sitting in that high seat that makes her eye level higher than the customers. Or maybe the service standard now had been change?
Good location, very friendly staff, good breakfast.
Heating in room was "locked" so unable adjust.
Liked the look of the hotel on approach...very inviting. The breakfast was well worth the money. .nice coffee. Lovely gin at the honesty bar and the sitting room was cosy and comfortable.
