Pros (+) Staff were lovely.
Cons (-) Looking a bit tired. Desk in room had big scratch on it. Also, on a previous stay breakfast was on the top floor which was lovely. This time we were in the lower part of the ground floor restaurant. The continental breakfast choice was quite poor considering the price. Pros (+) Conveniently located in the Grassmarket district of Edinburgh within a very easy walk of several excellent restaurants and pubs, this hotel has an excellent view of the Old Town and the castle, which is only a few minutes away by foot. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the bar staff provided ice for no extra charge.
