Cons:The 1st contact was over the phone. We had gotten in at 1 AM and I called to see if we could push out the pickup time -NO, if we didn't pick up the car within 2 hrs of scheduled time, the car wouldn't be available! When we picked it up, I asked what time they close and open - We had a 9 AM departure on a Tuesday. They close at 6PM and open at 8AM - what kind of airport service is that???? If we dropped off the car after they were closed, he would charge us $30!!!! We had a family member follow us to drop off the car the afternoon before our departure. They wanted to go inside with us because they had used the same company previously and found them to be dishonest. They wanted to be sure the guy didn't pull something funny with us at check out. We will NEVER use this company again and will warn others to avoid them as well. The most unfriendly person I've ever dealt with! Based on other comments, why do you continue to do business with this company???Reviewed Aug 29 2018

The WORST rental company everCons:The worst experience ever. Rude staff, hidden costs, terrible service. I ended up paying 3 times more than the initial agreement. NEVER book with them at any cost.Reviewed Jun 19 2016

Cons:Rental Contract did not specify total rental amount! They were hideous in asking if I want basic or full coverage basically implying these are the only options available. I fell for it and price weas twice as high as quoted on Kayak. I guess you get what you (think you) pay ofr. Next time I'd rather go with a larger company.Reviewed Jul 16 2016

Quebec CanadaPros:Very few positives, We were given a clean vehicle, however not the one we requested.Cons:My experience with this company was very poor. I am not one tor write online reviews, but am still bothered by the poor service from every aspect of this company. The van to pick us up at the airport took a very long time to arrive, over 45 min. When it did arrive, the driver rudely told us that our group did not fit and he could only accommodate the person who will be driving the car, to leave the group at the airport and then come back in the rental to pick them up. When we arrived we were told that the minivan we reserved was given to someone else because we arrived after 2 hours past our reservation time and no other minivans were available. He put us in a small SUV and an upgrade charge. The attitude and the service was downright rude. Upon returning the car, we were again greeted with attitude. The transport again from the rental to the airport took another 45 minutes. The driver also had a poor attitude. All the other customers I spoke with were also upset and very unhappy with the service they received. I will never use the company again and recommend no one else use them as well. They quote cheaper online prices and as usual in life, you get what you pay for. I would advise on using a well known reputable company located at the airport and it's worth paying a little more for it.Reviewed Mar 31 2016

Cheap operationPros:They use Honda Civic sedans for their rentals.Cons:It took 30 minutes for the shuttle to pick us up from the terminal upon arrival. Then another 20 minutes to get the car once at the rental office. They only had one guy serving the desk and he was also the guy that would run to get the cars out of the yard where they were parked. He was not courteous or friendly at all. The car was dirty and had scratches all over it. The office was filthy, our car's low washer fluid light came on after 1 use, the tires were all 10lbs under pressure so we had to fill them at a gas station which cost us $3. Not a large sum of money but why should I have to pay for air? If a rental company does nothing else they should at least check the oil, check the tires, check the gas, and wash the car after every use. It was obvious the was never done. The price online said $151 but when we returned the car it cost us $265. I asked why the difference and he just grumbled because that's the cost. I will not be using Kayak or Economy Car Rentals in the future.Reviewed Nov 18 2015

Pros:I liked nothing about the experienceCons:First, I couldn’t understand the lady on the phone. I had struggles to find the driver who came to pick me from the airport. Once there, I asked for the price of the hold on my credit card and they said 500$. Which I found ridiculously expensive. Even if I didn’t take the car, they took the money from my credit card, and told me to call the company to be reimbursed. So no, it was the worst experience everReviewed Nov 4 2019

Pros:Brand new carCons:Tricky to find the shuttle pickup from YUL -- no signage on the ground/arrival level, had to ask a few people. Wait for the shuttle was reasonable and the location was very close, just off the airport property. Line at the counter wasn't long, but took awhile. When it was our turn, the owner gestured for the woman behind us to cut -- they then chatted for awhile, apparently a regular or personal friend with privileges. Oh well. After almost 30min, we were finally handed the keys to a brand new car. With no gas. Seriously, coasting on fumes. Owner demanded we stop at a nearby station to fill up before leaving -- convenient, yes, but this station did not post any advertised prices. Turns out they charged literally 50% more than the going rate in Montreal. ($1.45/L vs $0.96/L) And then the gas station owner tried to get me to tip 15% on top. Luckily I only had him put in a few gallons. Clearly a racket to trap unwary tourists. The real WTFs began when we tried to return the car. Arrived at 12:40pm for a scheduled 1pm drop-off. Owner was not there, door was locked, with a sign taped to the front directing us to return the keys at a shady motel SEVERAL MILES in the wrong direction. Why had they suddenly closed during business hours? And why can't he have a drop box like every other rental company ever? Said motel was quite hard to find, even with GPS, and did not have any parking spots set aside for rental customers. I ended up parking in their guest lot, then pleading with their staff (in my terribly broken French) not to tow it until Economy came to retrieve it (that afternoon? a week later? who knows?). Thank god we'd left plenty of time, otherwise we would have missed our flight for sure. (Note there is another motel of the same chain just across the street from Economy -- I guess their manager got sick of this guy's shenanigans.) To top things off, the paper sign on the door "helpfully" indicated we'd be charged an extra $25 "return fee". Naturally this was never disclosed in the drop-off paperwork. Not to mention we were WELL inside the usual hours -- guy must have simply gone to lunch -- when the shuttle from the distant motel swung back around on its way to YUL, we saw that the storefront had reopened! In the end, we wasted about 2hr total (including pickup & dropoff). Nor did we even save money vs the on-premises brands: the various bait-n-switch tactics brought our total to $205 CAD, vs the original $134 CAD reservation thru Kayak...not counting the horrendously overpriced gas dispensed by this joker's partner in crime. I'm gonna demand to see an itemized bill, but I don't expect to get the BS refunded...fraud seems to be part of the business model.Reviewed Mar 27 2016

The WORST rental car company ever - Never rent thePros:Nothing was likable!Cons:The guy renting me the car was the rudest and the most dishonest person ever. He did not give me the total price at the beginning despite my insist, and he was telling ma that I can calculate myself since there is all there! (which was not the case!) I initially reserved the car online since the offered price was less than other companies. I ended up paying more than twice of the initial agreement. The other customers who were there at the same time as me had also the same complaint that the amount does not match the initial agreement. He was talking to us the rudest way possible. Everything about this company is wrong! It is all robbery!Reviewed Jun 13 2016
