Pros: Well designed, well maintained, great location friendly staff.
Cons: It was perfecto
Pros: Picked us up and dropped us off at the airport - have a free tour of the village!
Pros: It was such a nice place. Close to town, but with a feeling of being away from it all. It was very peaceful. The owner couldn't have been more helpful.
Pros: Adorable two bedroom cabin with living room, wrap-around patio, full kitchen, and washing machine. Spotless and new- extremely comfortable. Lovely, quiet location about 15 min walk south of town. Perfect for families. Christophe is very kind and helpful, and his restaurant recommendations are spot on.
Cons: Like most establishments on the island, payment is in cash only- so it's best to come prepared. Banks are only open for a few hours in the mornings and not all cards are accepted at the ATMs.
Pros: Cabañas Christophe was a wonderful base for our five days on the island. Christophe is a wonderful, thoughtful, and caring host who is always asking how he can help. He provided a free guidebook to the island for us as well which was a wonderful touch. The cabañas is just outside the main town which is perfect. It’s quiet for sleeping at night and a reasonable walk in (plus there’s a great ceviche place a quick walk nearby). Overall we found it a great and comfortable stay.
Pros: Perfect location, the staff is very cordial, the owner, Christophe, knows everything about the island.
Pros: Perfect location close to hiking trail and walks to the coast for sunset! Short drive to main part of town for restaurants and shops. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Christophe went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Highly recommend!
Pros: Great views. Gracious host. Lovely rooms. Would definitely stay here again. Oh and great breakfast
Cons: Little far from town, but they are happy to help you get there by taxi or if possible Christophe. The island is small, never really a problem
Comfortable bungalows and rooms surrounded by gardens can be enjoyed in Hanga Roa, 1 km from Mataveri Airport. Hostal Raioha has bungalows with kitchen facilities and rooms with private bathrooms. All of them styled in warm colours and with plenty of light. Guests can make use of shared BBQ facilities in the garden. Ahu Tahai Archaeological site is 2 km away and Orongo Volcano is 1 km from Raihoa. Shuttle service to and from the airport is available for free, however guests must provide flight details.
Pros: - atmosphere - hairdryer in the room - spacious room - toiletries - position - free pick up from the airport
Cons: - they don’t speak English - no WiFi - a bit expensive - owner is not always available
Pros: Lovely people running the property. Excellent location, easy walk to town. Close to restaurants and the waterfront. Our unit was cleaned daily and we were left fresh juice and fruits often! Also were greeted with lovely flower leis on arrival and Moai necklaces on departure! Such thoughtful touches!
Pros: Location and it was mostly clean.
Cons: Very basic rooms with small fan for cooling the room. No safe box in rooms for securing valuables and the room itself is not secure. Shower is challenging to use as the shower head was not properly mounted.
Pros: Great location, Rosy was really helpful (even with our non existent Spanish). Pickup and drop off to and from the airport was included. Facilities were all really clean.
Cons: Kitchen was pretty basic. Garden was lovely but could have been more outdoor furniture to make the most of it.
Pros: Great location in “town” but well back from main road so no noise. Comfy bed. Lovey owner who included airport pick up and drop off in the price.
Cons: It was expensive for what it was but so is pretty much everything on the island so can’t complain.
Pros: The owners are very wonderful, kind and caring hosts. We felt very much at home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pick up and drop from the airport made it so much easier for us and the location is fabulous - close to all the key places like beach, main street and shopping areas.
Pros: Location, owner, service
Cons: No WIFI
Pros: Location was charming and Rosa our hostess very friendly and brought us fresh passion fruit from her beautiful garden. This is a simple and charming place to stay, very well situated and just right for Rapa Nui.
With a stay at Hangaroa Eco Village & Spa in Hanga Roa, you'll be connected to a shopping center, just steps from Hanga Roa National Park and a 1-minute drive from Pea Beach. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. This hotel has 3 meeting rooms available for events. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available 24 hours).
Pros: I'm very happy with my stay at the Hanga Roa Eco Village. The property and my room were exactly as they'd appeared in all the photos. The location was even better than I'd hoped, providing a sense of distance and peace, while at the same time being within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, and much beauty. When I'm on vacation, I indulge in the luxury of eating at whatever time I feel like, so it was lovely to have a cafe/bar on the property that had long hours and continual service. Everyone I met was friendly, and I was grateful for the number of English-speakers on staff. I absolutely feel that I made the right choice when I chose this as my place to stay on Rapa Nui.
Pros: The location is nice the architecture the quality and size of bed !
Cons: All around Hotel is full signs and metal items with black flags that covet the view ,because is a battle with a local family that said that hotel was bild on ancestry cemetery.....Stay in hotel is Tabu ! It was a little bit scaring when you read all the sign ! The service is like a 2 star hotel ! The cleaness and the service very basic ! You can not walk in the room without slipper ,you get in 5 minutes black feet. The quality of the food is poor ,at breakfast small fresh fruit choice ,no fresh juice ... When in the island you find plenty of Pinapple and Banana ...In 6 days we didn ‘t find at breakfast! The maintenance is very bad ,dirty pool and surrounding, the pool chair very old and with wet mattress and towel ! At 22.30 the bar was closed not possible to have a drink ! The sofa in the breakfast room and the chair in the room very dirty We put a towel to sit ! On our arriving we have to wait more than 30 minutes to get the transfer and when the bus is coming ,not hotels bus but Mahina travel bus ,we have to cross the airpot plaza with luggages undera big thunderstorms we arrive at hotel lobby wet with dirty lugguages and shoes ! Never happens like that in my life ! And if you think that you book and pay for five star service !
Pros: It’s a beautiful property, close to the ocean and to the downtown area. The breakfast and restaurants are fairly good and not severely overpriced.
Cons: Lack of service- management here has a real opportunity to institute a service culture. The staff here generally lack this, which is unforgiving for a self proclaimed luxury hotel. Every time I ask for help, they seem exasperated and certainly do not go out of their way to help. For example, when I asked if they could help push my spa appointment by 30min, the receptionist told me to talk to the spa directly and claimed they are still open when they are closed. Also, the restaurants seem quite under-staffed, especially during breakfast buffet. The workers are definitely hustling but quite overwhelmed, esp when you have a tour group.
Pros: The hotel is the perfect place to stay while on Rapa Nui (Easter Island). The property is situated right on the ocean and walkable to HangaRoa. The property has a wonderful zen feeling and the rooms are large and nicely appointed. The staff couldn’t be nicer and are helpful with booking tours right from the lobby. I had one of the best meals I’ve ever had at the restaurant- desserts are incredible! If you’re looking for a full-service property that’s sure to elevate your Easter Island experience, Hanga Roa Eco Village is the ideal choice.
Pros: Excellent staff including in the spa. Nice island cuisine in the restaurants. Special local dishes with local ingredients. Little touches were lovely - A small MOAI figure and pretty local shells on departure. Interesting and innovative local features woven into the building fabric - rounded walls, tree trunk supports, grass on the roof. This provided a unique touch.
Cons: Shower too cold especially as this is not a tropical island. Looked forward to a bath after a day spent trekking to find MOAI but it was freezing. More cultural events and sense of linkage to living Rapa Nui communities would be enriching.
Pros: The location of the resort and the island
Cons: Nothing in particular
Pros: Very good breakfast.
Cons: The bathroom and shower inside the room, also the shower cab was not comfortable and the bathtub impossible to use without spilling water on the floor. Room cleaning failed.
With a stay at Cabañas Rapa Nui Orito in Hanga Roa, you'll be near the airport, just steps from Hanga Roa National Park and a 3-minute drive from Ana Kai Tangata. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available on request).
Pros: Quiet location, away from the bustle of other tourist venues. Great service, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast included and it is enough to make into a lunch.
Cons: Nothing, very pleased.
Pros: Great place for families
Cons: No hot water. Shower was intermittent of hot and cold water for 5 minutes total.
Pros: You will be picked up from the airport, if you don’t speak Spanish- no problem Ignacia speaks perfect English! She will give a great advice on how to explore Easter Island and the restaurants. Thank you so much for that! You will have a breakfast in the room! Bed is very comfortable, hot water, clean towels and linens. The internet connection is better in the lobby, but hey you are in the middle of the Pacific Ocean!
Pros: Nice huge garden. Quiet place. Big room. Clean. Nice stuff.
Cons: Wi Fi is only in rooms 1,2,3 in others - no. You have to go to lobby.
Pros: Everything tbh. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Lovely room and comfortable.
Pros: Everything was great!! Don. Jorge y Ignacia very nice people. The place beautiful and comfortable. Totally recommend.
Pros: Daniela is a very good host. Fluent English, beautiful and nice.
Cons: Shower tap is a nightmare during the stay. The water switchs between ice cold and burning hot.
Pros: Excellent staff! Was extremely helpful and always help you with a big smile. I would give 11 out of 10 if possible. Thank you very much for looking after us very well during our visit. Very clean rooms and very well maintained beautiful garden with lots of flowers too.
Cons: Nothing at all.
Pros: I loved the peaceful location and the football pitch - perfect for a family with kids. We stayed for a very relaxing week and loved staying here - staff are wonderful.
With a stay at Hotel Puku Vai in Hanga Roa, you'll be near the beach, just steps from Hanga Roa National Park and a 2-minute drive from Mercado Artesanal Municipal. Featured amenities include a computer station, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: It was very a very nice crew, very friendly and helpful. The hotel looks exactly like the pictures in their web site, so that was very good.
Pros: The breakfast was excellent as there was a lot of choice. Staff is very friendly.
Pros: It’s a cosy, well kept place
Cons: The only downside was the WiFi, but that’s across the island.
Pros: This property was very clean and quiet. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast included eggs cooked to order, meats, cheeses, fruits, fresh fruit juice, toast, avocado and breakfast treats. The rooms have a small fridge in them. The rooms all have a sliding door that opens up towards the pool area. It was August when we stayed and no one used the pool but it was nice to lookout. You can walk here from the airport - it is about 2 blocks and there is a sidewalk which is made mainly of bricks - but it is still fine to roll your suitcase on. The rooms have tile floors, comfortable beds and was larger than we expected. (We had a king plus twin bed in our room.)
Cons: The wifi was often not working which sounds like it is common on the whole island.
Pros: very clean and very private;nice place with a good breakfast
Cons: It was a little far from town but walkable
Pros: Great Service from the reception staff. Very helpful in getting started in exploring the island. The rooms are spacious and the hotel grounds were well maintained. The included breakfast was also rather good.
Pros: The breakfast was amazing - fresh eggs, fruit, coffee and fresh juice. The pool and the garden area is the perfect place for a wedding or vow renewal. The dining area is wonderful place to host your private dinner or reception. This quiet boutique hotel is the perfect place for your wedding and honeymoon vacation on Easter Island - Rapa Nui. The island is filled with magic and the staff is outstanding! Puku Vai is a special place within a easy walk to town and other activities. You are going to LOVE this beautiful island and hotel - www.WorldClassWeddingVenues.com - Say "I Do" Worldwide!
Cons: Our team at World Class Wedding Venues - Say "I Do" Worldwide just wished we could have stayed longer. Our next visit to Puku Vai will be for three weeks. WCWV is planning our next adventure with more allowance of time - need to plan to stay for two weeks in this hotel.
Pros: Easy to get to; just walked from airport. Staff is super friendly and spoke excellent English, so that helped us out a lot. Breakfast was good and rooms very clean.
Cons: Nothing stands out.
Located 200 metres from the coastline, Aukara Bed & Breakfast features a garden in Hanga Roa. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas and free on-site private parking is possible. Providing a tranquil environment, the rooms in Aukara feature private bathrooms, dining areas and terraces. Aukara Bed & Breakfast is 300 metres from Mataveri airport and 15 km from Anakena beach.
Pros: Hot shower, breakfast, location & staff
Pros: Fabulous place - all staff so kind and friendly. The tour with Leo was brilliant. Easter Island is the best place on Earth. When you go stay at Aukara. Highly highly highly recommended.
Pros: Airport shuttle, convenient location, serene setting, friendly staff.
Pros: Comfortable bed, good breakfast, within an easy/short walk to the main shopping street. The apartment was set in a lovely garden, which made it a very relaxing stay.
Pros: The Team is warmful thanks Paula the bed is comfy the breakfast is delicious thank you Cecilia thanks Anamaria Everyday the room is cleaned and towels changed The hostel is near the main street it is very convenient and quiet so it was a really good week The Island is beautiful !
Pros: Lovely gardens, warm owners, close to town for walking,
Pros: Location, reception
Cons: Road to property
Pros: Beautiful place with nice staff. Clean and spacious room. Good breakfast. Quite and tranquil and still within walking distance to the main road (Restaurants, Supermarked etc.).
Cons: Nothing bad to say.
Pros: The hosts Paula and her husband Leo were exceptional because of their warmth and knowledge of Easter Island. Aukara B&B is a cluster of small buildings in a garden —very lovely.
With a stay at Hotel Hare Uta in Hanga Roa, you'll be in a national park, just steps from Hanga Roa National Park and a 1-minute drive from Terevaka. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available on request).
Pros: The rest of the hotel is OK with a nice pool. Not worth $400 per night
Cons: Just terrible internet access anywhere but the reception area where you need to sit outside and risk mosquitos and thus dengue fever. This is so unnessesary as extending WiFi directly to the rooms costs less than the $400+ room rate per night. Complaints to management met with complete indifference as they point to a disclaimer they make all guests sign. Very unprofessional.
Pros: Friendly staff, everything necessary was there without too much exaggerated fanciness, limited but excellent breakfast
Pros: Rooms were very comfortable and had a nice common area. The food at the restaurant was excellent. The staff was great.
Pros: Friendliness of the staff, especially reception Loved the chickens running free
Cons: Extremely slow service at bar and restaurant
Cons: Far away from town
Pros: Great small hotel convenient to the airport and only a short distance from town. We booked several tours that picked us up and dropped us off right at the front door. Rooms were clean and bright. The hotel consists of several small buildings each containing a few rooms. Our room was connected to a large common area (shared with three other rooms), which provided extra space for lounging and socializing. The restaurant was great with friendly and accommodating staff and good food. The tropical grounds were spacious with pool and spa. All the buildings and amenities were interconnected by wooden walkways. A unique and delightful experience!
Pros: It feels authentic and have a lot of local character while still feeling high end. The rooms is a good size, clear, well designed and comfortable. The grounds are pretty and the pool (though cold) is in a nice setting.
Cons: I didn’t realize that the bedrooms share a common space with other rooms. So it sort of felt like having a bedroom in a small house that I’m sharing with others. I didn’t love that aspect of it, but it didn’t bother me either.
With a stay at Taha Tai Hotel in Hanga Roa, you'll be just steps from Hanga Roa National Park and Pea Beach. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and multilingual staff. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available 24 hours).
Pros: The Hotel is very pleasant........basic but funtional. The Bungalow is very nice and is spacious. Bathroom was very clean and spotless. Breakfast at teh Restauarant was very good with a good selection and plentiful. Hotel Reception was good and able to answer all questions. Hotel Transfer pickup was 4 houtrs before actual flight time which seemed rather excessive but when you see how small the Airport check in its worth getting there and processed and get out of the terminal and enjoy last of the Sun.
Cons: Th patio doors did not seem that secure which was a concern as when you closed one side the other side seemed to pop out. Took a little while to get to grips with how you amnaged to close both sides.
Pros: The property was very quaint, clean, and conveniently located to the water and to the center of town. The buffet breakfast could use some improvement, but other than that it was a delight to stay at.
Pros: Hotel is beautiful, room was extra large, nice view over the ocean, nice pool. Friendly and helpful maids.
Cons: Staff was unfriendly and a waiter in the dining room was even rude, very politically aggressive, I asked to be woken up at 6 and they had their clock wrong (2 hours behind) and did not wake me up. Male receptionist almost rude. Dining room too far away from main building where my room was. No clear directions to the dining room, no info by staff about where it was, too far away (long blocks, lonely and dark to walk to town)
Pros: Everything was great starting from staff with best welcoming ever. Location was a breath taking , we really enjoyed staying at this hotel
Cons: Bathroom was needed for re-innovation and our room was in a garden so we had lots of insects coming into our room which made a horror scene :(
Pros: Once at the hotel Javier at the front desk was very accommodating and helpful throughout my visit as were Rodrigo and the rest of the front desk staff. Room exceeded what I had envisioned. The pool was great. A restaurant facing the shoreline with outside seating was terrific made even better by Yuko, Phillipe and all the restaurant staff. Breakfast was adequate with the usual amenities.
Cons: Reception at the airport was somewhat chaotic through no fault of the hotel shuttle staff. As the tours were long and tiring, a few English speaking TV channels would have been nice as the wi-fi reception was spotty. While only a few blocks from the center of town, the terrain was somewhat difficult for a physically challenged individual like myself
Pros: Javier and Rodrigo at the front desk were terrific. Friendly, helpful and accommodating. Entire restaurant staff including Yuko and Phillipe (both spoke good English) were wonderful. View of the ocean from the restaurant patio area was soothing and yet energizing. Room was somewhat more than I expected with a great shower and lots of hot water. Pool was protected from any offshore wind and very relaxing.
Cons: Wi-fi was spotty and after tiring day tours a few English speaking TV channels would have been nice. Free breakfast was average.
A stay at Cabañas Keuhenua places you in the heart of Hanga Roa, a 6-minute drive from Puna Pau and 11 minutes from Ahu Akahanga. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available 24 hours).
A stay at Tauraa Hotel places you in the heart of Hanga Roa, steps from Hanga Roa National Park and 2 minutes by foot from Pea Beach. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available 24 hours).
Pros: All staff were really helpful particularly Tina. Irene's breakfast was always beautifully cooked and presented. Louis was also great in getting me from and back to the airport.
Cons: Nothing to dislike - even the tiny lizards were friendly.
Pros: Breakfast was great - fresh fruit, freshly squeezed juice, hot food cooked for each person as they arrived at breakfast, freshly brewed coffee and tea. Great location, within walking distance of harbour and shops, cafes and restaurants. Collected at the airport (5 minutes away) and driven back at end of stay. Light, airy and spacious self-contained unit. Friendly and helpful staff. Picturesque location, all on ground level.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Pros: Absolutely everything. Edith, Karen and Bill were so wonderful and made me feel so welcome. I can’t say enough good things. Breakfast every morning was a great way to start the day. I left feeling like I had made new friends.
Cons: The fact that I had to leave.
Pros: I liked the hospitality of staff. Very kind. Liked breakfasts. The bedroom was very good. Very clean. Nice garden.
Cons: The only thing that bothered me was that there was a pub very near to hotel and at nights they played very loud music.
Pros: The hotel is very close to downtown so easy walking to all shops and restaurants, but very quiet. The staff goes out of their way to make sure your every need is met. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful.
Pros: Very helpful owners, excellent breakfast, large rooms, comfortable beds, convenient central location.
Cons: WiFi didn't really work well in the rooms, but was OK around reception area.
Pros: Wonderful hosts with super breakfasts and smiling faces. Just go and experience an ancient land hosted by a descendant of the the original 110 families of Rapa Nui. The room is large and functional. The bed is comfy and the shower great! I spent 7 nights here and was still finding new delights on the last morning.
Pros: Airport pickup was efficient, staff went out of their way to show me around and help me book tours. The breakfast was also very good and the hotel was in a great location, I could walk to shops and restaurants very easily.
Pros: Extremely clean property. Great hosts (owners). Great tours run out of the hotel. Great places to sit outside every room. Excellent breakfast inculded.
Located 100 metres from the main street and a 10-minute walk from Mataveri airport, Hostal Vaihere offers free WiFi and 24-hour front desk assistance in Hanga Roa. A garden is featured on site. Providing a tranquil environment, the rooms in Hostal Vaihere feature private and shared bathrooms. Guests at Vaihere are provided laundry services upon request. A shared, fully-equipped kitchen is available to guests. Vaihere is a 15-minute walk from Ahu Thai sitespot. Free private parking is possible on site.
Cons: The property confirmed airport transfer but instead we WALKED from the airport to the hostel. i had to pay for my trip back to the airport myself. Also there is no washing machine. You have to pay to have your clothes washed!
Pros: The location and beds were really good, the showers were nice.
Cons: The owner doesn't speak english, which led to a miscommunication in airport pickup.
Pros: super beautiful property with garden. all is clean the hostess was very friendly and quick response to any queries. i also asked for a towel and got one straight away. wifi is an amazing bonus here
Cons: the one thing to know is that there are no condiments at all in the kitchen. no coffee sugar salt or oil for cooking. that would be very helpful to have. also in my room at least the wifi only worked with the door open. that being said having wifi is short of a miracle on Rapa Nui
Pros: Patricia is a great host Simple, but very clean rooms
Pros: Ms. Eugenia, the lady owner, who also manages it, was one of the most helpful persons in tourism industry that I have ever come across with- and I have travelled to 59 countries...Would strongly recommend this Hostel.
Cons: Nothing .....
Pros: Very good place, excellent service and treatment. Very central place, everything can be reached by walking.
Pros: It’s super nice and cozy, comfy bed, nice shower, good kitchen. Great location! Thomas was very welcoming and even showed us around a bit.
Cons: The shower is a bit small and very wet after one person usage.
Cons: No pick up at the airport. No hot water and said they don't care. No towel and soap. 3 dead cockroachs on the floor, not cleaned during my stay. Bed sheet was not clean. This was the worst place I ever stayed in last 40 years of my trip. Should be avoided and be removed from the list. They don't care about guest satisfaction but just want to get money using booking.com.
Pros: The hostel has 3 rooms - 2 twin rooms and a single room. I booked the single room. There are three significant drawbacks with the single room - (1)The single room at the front of the property and has a window looking onto the road. Although there is not a lot of road traffic, the proximity of the window to the road and the type of road surface mean that a lot of noise is generated when a car passes and a significant amount of noise penetrates the room. (2) The “private” bathroom of the single room is across a corridor and has no lock. This means that anyone can enter this bathroom - although as the two twin rooms have their own bathroom, there is, perhaps, no reason for someone staying there to want to do so (although it would be possible for someone from the street to walk in). In any event, I would not feel comfortable leaving anything there - which means that it effectively becomes similar to a “shared” bathroom. (3) The mattress in the room is extremely uncomfortable and I found sleeping on it to be difficult. When I complained about the room - in particular, about the noise - the owner was kind enough to move me to one of the twin rooms (for which she had no booking at the time). The twin room was much larger and had a “proper” private bathroom. The only real complaint about this room was that it smelled of mould from the bathroom. The hostel has a small, but functional, kitchen. The owner met me at the airport and took me in her car to the hostel on the evening that I arrived (this is necessary in order to supply the key as the hostel has no permanent staff). I saw the owner only infrequently after the first evening, although there is a mobile number to call if an urgent need arises. I can not recommend the single room. The twin room is fine, but is quite costly for a solo traveller.
Cons: Refer positive commentary.
Pros: - Although I just booked a bed in a drom I was upgraded to a single 2-bed-room, that was really nice - At the beginning the room was clean and quite big - The owner picked us up from the airport and dropped us off there when we left
Cons: - The kitchen is tiny, more than one person cannot cook there - no towels (idk why so many hostels forget that, its such an easy thing) - During my stay (four nights) the room had not been cleaned. The first two days were very rainy so it was unavoidable that it got dirty. The rooms should be cleaned at least every three days
Pros: The hotel is clean and has a very local feel. The staff are nice.
Cons: The hotel is generally understaffed, and very few of the staff speak English, so it’s very difficult to communicate. For example, the breakfast is very limited and there only seems to be one person who prepares the food AND serves. There’s generally no one around to set up the tables to eat. The rooms are very basic (but relatively clean). As it’s on Easter Island I didn’t have high expectations, however I don’t understand how this hotel is a 4-star.
Pros: The cabanas were great
Cons: Uncomfortable bed
Pros: Peaceful and out of the way of hanga roa. 5 mins away in car. The place itself is really nice but has lots more potential. Service was really slow. Bar and restaurant area almost completely abandoned and never ready or set up for service. Chairs abandoned everywhere and tables just not cleaned away nor drinks glasses. But the hotel has a nice feel, staff just need to be more aware and up there game. Restaurant prices were very steep. WiFi not available in rooms which can be easily fixed. Breakfast was great. Rooms really nice. Reception staff very welcoming and lovely. No water or mini bar or fridge in room which is not good. Little things that can be easily fixed which could make the hotel outstanding. But unsure if staff care??
Cons: No water in room. Bad WiFi and general service was very slow even when quiet.
Pros: Fabulous views and very nice people. The Cabana was lovely.
Cons: Restaurant and bar grossly over priced for average quality. Not able to sleep because the temperature in the cabana was like a sauna with no airco or adequate ventilation. Walking distance to nearest shopping and restaurant area approx 45 mins thus forcing a car rental.
Pros: Quiet location worked for us.
Cons: Property is rather run down and in need of redecoration and upgrade
Cons: Old and not been maintained well
Pros: the villa itself, they gave me the sea view villa. the food is excellent, service is good
Cons: cockroaches outside the restaurant path should give hotel guest the flower laces when check in
Pros: The views from the hotel were nice and the room and property were very clean. Also the decor was lovely.
Cons: The room was incredibly hot and the ceiling fan was no help. Had to keep out of the room during the day because of the heat and at night had to sleep with the doors open all night. Restaurant prices for dinner are way overpriced and the closest restaurant is a 30-minute walk from the hotel.
Pros: The view of the hotel.
Cons: The staffs were not helpful. No air condition, no refrigerator and no electric kettle in the room.
Pros: Breakfast was very good. We hired a car at the hotel which was very handy.
Cons: Airport transport should be included, all hostels and small guest houses were picking up their guests but Altiplanico didn't. The taxi from and to the airport costs about US 8 (don´t forget this a US 300 per night.) There should have had a bottle of water in the room and a minibar. The bed was pretty uncomfortable since it was two queen beds attached to "make" a king one which kept on splitting apart. Forming a gap in the middle. .
Pros: Location is nice, even if far from town The units/bungalows are quite independent
Cons: Needs a bit of maintenance and some touch to improve room aspect No heating

Pros: Location is great. Grounds are well rendered tropical gardens. Breakfast excellent and staff very friendly.
Cons: The rooms are fairly basic. Double bed, ceiling fans, small bathroom. Some mound on inside of window, ceiling and on curtains (which is normal in a subtropical climate) but the rooms could use a thorough clean. It’s an island in the middle of the pacific so wifi is dodgy
Pros: The hotel is right in the centre of town and the staff are all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. Some parts of the hotel have nice planting and a view out to the ocean over the town.
Cons: It's just not an eco-lodge and is very basic for the money. Our room felt like a modern motel room in any dull city - with a dusty roofed internal bathroom and a horrible outside area - not a balcony or anything remotely 'eco'. It was a real disappointment. We moved after one night. The hotel is falsely named and didn't offer anywhere near the value of the place we went to next. It needs a big upgrade or to put the price way down to reflect what is offered.
Pros: Exceptionally friendly & helpful staff.
A stay at Hotel Atavai places you in the heart of Hanga Roa, steps from Hanga Roa National Park and a 5-minute drive from Mercado Artesanal Municipal. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: To far from center
Pros: The staff was nice and the size of the room was big enough.
Cons: The breakfast was simply terrible, it was really expensive and it consisted only in bread with jam and a cup of tea. The WiFi internet was practically unavailable, shouldn’t be advertised with it at all.
Pros: It's a lovely hotel on the outskirts of this small town, 15 min walk from the airport and 20 min walk from the city center, a bit farther - from other key places of interest. The staff is more than helpful. Speaking of breakfast, I would recomment Iberico (to be ordered beforehand), very delicious and nicely served, and not recommend continental breakfast.
Pros: Isolated. Big confy bed
Cons: Far from the center. Difficult to find. Off a dirt road
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Good price/ quality factor.
Cons: I want hot water to eat cup noodles. But reception person say I can’t give hot water. I don’t know it’s mean. Of course, she has kitchen. She can get hot water. But she doesn’t give me hot water. I don’t know this hotel thinks what. I don't want to stay here again.
Pros: Good place to stay with natural environmnt even a bit far from beach & downtown. You can wake up with Chickens & Birds and sleet with dogs.
Cons: Unkind staffs, not good breakfast, no staffs staying after 8 pm.
Pros: The cleanliness of the room, the price, and the room size were very good. Laundry service is good. Location is not that far from town only 20 minutes walking. Hotel has a great scooter u can rent, if you do not want a scooter you can go through them for others and the price will be cheaper! Understand that we are on an island so of course the wifi is so so same for the water it is not constantly hot. They offered to store the luggage for me until the reception closes at 8pm which is very nice!
Cons: Breakfast, the choices that were on the menu were not always available, and the continental was pretty expensive for what it was. It would be great to have more quality choices since the hotel is a bit further out, I am sure they can make good revenue on it. At night, it may be noisy since locals put music sometimes till 11 PM 12 am.Antoine the host was very knowledgeable, it is sad that he was not more often around because it would be great to have someone that share local culture with others! Since the hotel is low occupancy in middle of the year, you may want to make it an AirBnB since it is not 24hrs reception and as a guest you have to be pretty independent there!
Pros: I liked the garden and the people were friendly and I got used to the hens and began to enjoy seeing them - I thought that wouldn't be the case at first, but they're nice :D Like the flowers and the artwork outside and my room was like a little "hut" with a outdoor furniture on the veranda - I liked that and it was nice to sit there.
Cons: Some insects in my room - couldn't get used to them. Would have been good to have more variety in the breakfast, but it was not bad. The rooms could do with some freshening - but the bed was good.
