The surroundings, the overall layout and location.
The food in the restaurant, also when complaining staff insisted it was the first time anybody complained and nothing could be done about it. We were with four and none of us could eat more then one or two bites (fish and steak) we had to go out for pizza later on. Rest was super
The location was relatively close to the city.
The street towards the hotel felt very unsafe. There was no lighting and the road was very poor and dangerous when the sun’s down. The shower was pretty dirty and had stains. We were provided with two half litre bottles of water and the tap water was gross. When asking for another bottle I was told they don’t provide that unless we pay €2 per bottle. Keep mind the room was €152 for one night. The WiFi.. there’s no wifi in the rooms. You need to go the lobby to have access to the WiFi. So watching a movie in the room was impossible. In the morning we wanted to use the provided two coffee filter pads that only work with the coffee machine available in the room. We couldn’t figure out how to make it work because there were no directions. We proceeded to check out and tell the man at the check out that the machine was broken. He said ‘it’s not broken, there’s a button on the bottom & back of the machine to turn it on’. This is separate from the button in the front of the machine to run the coffee through. I told him he should provide some directions in case people don’t know because we just assumed the machine was broken. And I was given this response ‘well most people don’t need those kind of directions and can figure it out on their own’. So instead of giving me a voucher, a proper answer or help with the machine, I was basically being called dumb and stupid for not knowing how to work the coffee machine that was very unclear and illogical. A normal and friendly answer with an apology would’ve been enough, but there was no apology, just the man by the desk essentially calling me stupid. Will not recommend to anyone nor ever come here again. The rooms were ok, but the horrible service and rude staff makes it an absolute NO!
The wellness room! This room was amazing to relax and chill! Durbuy is also nearby so that is great.
The wellness suite was superb and the staff were very friendly.
Everything was closed, no other residents, not even staff on site. Breakfast was very expensive.
Location. Friendly service. Reasonable cost.
Could have done with wider range at breakfast. Would have preferred free range eggs not caged ones.
