This is a heavily remodeled villa from about the turn of the 20th century Some but not all of the original features have been kept (such as the sliding doors to divide the living room), A wanna-be interior decorator has been let loose! Amazing chandeliers hang from the ceilings. The American magazine, Architectural Digest. among others, are on window sills and tables for your perusal. Breakfast is beautifully served on porcelain from a small buffet. The hostess will cook eggs (including omelettes) for guests.
The first room offered was tiny, could hardly fit a twin bed and the opening door. The next was bigger, but in all I saw, the furniture was more or less IKEA plus. Room entry doors are small and not well located. Electric points were few and far between, and not well located: brhind furniture, etc. The parking lot was chaotic, with pink gravel and cars scattered in a way that all cars wouldn't fit. And it was impossible not to track pink dust and small pebbles from the parking lot into the building and room. The mattress was thin, the pillows were giant but almost all air.
The friendly staff, the clean spacious bathroom, the beautiful garden.
What a gem! It's more of a B&B with a small number or rooms. Rooms were small but functional, clean and nicely appointed with a small refrigerator, kettle and closet. Breakfast was served in an area overlooking beautifully kept grounds and served on white clothed tables. Eggs cooked fresh to order plus plenty of other goodies. I went down to get an extra towel and the gentleman offered me a beer or glass of wine. Several restaurants in walking distance to choose from in a beautiful little town. It's a 10-15 min drive to airport.
If I had to nit pick to find something it would probably be the mattresses could use some attention, at least in the room we had. Still got a good night's sleep
Excellent hotel outside of the Umweltzone with easy access to the U-bahn which is efficient and cheap. Bonus for this hotel: the local pubs and bars are more than excellent, so no need to go to the Altstadt if you want to enjoy an evening meal. I specifically liked the breakfast area, we were able to sit outside both days and the staff prepares your eggs just the way you want them to. I'm definitely coming back here.
Comfortable beds, clean, friendly staff, beautiful garden
Very limited parking, no restaurant, no bar. Very unclear where or with who to check in. No air conditioning, on busy noisy road.
