Location is amazing with a great view The swimming pool The private beach is amazing, perfect for a swim in the ocean, amazing transparent water
The room is a good size, has a lovely view and it’s very comfortable but in general it is really « old school » design/décoration feels outdated.
Shower head was falling down and water collecting in bath tub. Bathroom substandard for 5* hotel. Sun umbrellas on beach were poor quality and were taken away when it became windy so we were left to burn. Breakfast not 5* quality.
The view! Spectacular view of Dubrovnik's city wall from the outdoor pool and the outdoor breakfast area. Breakfast was great. Lots of varieties. As for dinner (we booked two rooms with half board option), it came in a course meal, which was really delicious.
The fridge in one of our rooms smelled TERRIBLE as if something had rotten inside. We opened it once and the smell stayed in our room for hours. The smell was so strong that we had to open the window for ventilation. We reported this the next morning and the staff made the call to the cleaning service right away, for which I must compliment the hotel. Another thing is the reception staff. When we checked out, we were discussing about the payment options (credit card in kuna or cash in euro) for the best currency rate. The reception staff seemed pretty annoyed about us being cautious with the currency rate and the payment (which is certainly a normal thing to be cautious about when one travels though)
From the moment I arrived I felt home and welcomed. Got upgraded to a suite with stunning sea views loved it so much I extended Then even tried the sister property Orsula for different experience more quite and private. Loved it will come back again for sure Excellent service both places Great breakfast dinner bar views rooms you name it
Should have stayed longer
Excellent Position The best floor is last floor 7! Has all the views!!!
To be 5 star hotel following things need to be added or changed: 1) Balconies have to be fitted with more comfortable outdoor furniture and cushions 2) Breakfast is disasters “ Please reference Platz Hotel Munich, Kepinsky Munich Breakfast ... Breakfast is so bad quality... For all of you who want to comment my comments I am free for challenge! 3) Food in Restaurants is Touristy compared to Restaurant Proto in center of old city of Dubrovnik 4) Beach Service is with saying “ Good Luck catching one” 5) Missing live music entertainment on beach at evening times 6) If you want to be truly 5 star Hotel than it is Missing Resort boat services 7) Overall excellent for Yugoslavia situation but not within Miami 5 star hotel class
