It is a beautiful setting and the room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The interiors are very nice and there is ample parking.
The breakfast staff were run off their feet and it took almost 10 minutes before they came to seat us. The breakfast had a great selection but the hot food was only warm and we were at breakfast by 9.30am so would have expected it to still be hot. The hairdryer in our room didn't work but overall the place was very good.
When I arrived it was late, they couldn't find my booking.. They made a new booking for me and took a pre auth of another 60 euro because I used a debt card...I Didn't get on to my room past 12 midnight. At 9am there was drilling and hammering they were renovating. This continued until I checked out I told reception on my way out and they didn't care..blank reaction.. The cleaning staff knocked twice at the door from 9 an even though o advised that I was checking out at 12 and could they not disturb.. The coffee machine didn't work.. When I went down to order lunch I waited 40 mins for my food it arrived cold and undercooked.. I stay regularly on hotels..I Was looking forward to staying in Clontarff Castle..I Was dreadfully disappointed. I would not recommend the service..the staff.. The hotel on general.. Very disappointed
We were given a free late check out. The pillows and bed are amazing
The power tools going at 830am were unpleasant and annoying. we were not warned about the work happening and only got 5 hours sleep after a concert
THOUGHT I HAD PAID FOR IT ONLINE, BUT APPARENLTY NOT SO THIS CAUSED LOT PROBLEMS I MADE IT CLEAR I WASNT TRAVELLING BUT WANTED TO PAY
Bar service and very friendly staff
