A short walk from the marina but easy to find. Nice peaceful location with spacious, clean rooms. Breakfast is unknown as we departed prior to commencement however, we were offered a take away breakfast should we have wished for one.
Bed comfy, breakfast excellent and all good
Price was a little high
The staff were nice and smiling but I cannot help feeling they were really laughing at me for being such a sucker staying there.
I stayed on a weekend when they were hosting a wedding. Room rates were 50% higher than normal. The restaurant was closed to non wedding guests. Luckily I had some biscuits with me. On Sunday nights the bar was and is always closed. Hospitality Cuxhaven style. The room was clean apart from some obscene stains on the carpet. The hotel is situated in narrow side road and has a presence and foyer not dissimilar to an Ibis Budget hotel. My major gripe is with the heating. The hotel appears to have underfloor heating and there is no way for guests to control it. My room temperature was in the high twenties. I opened the windows partially to cool the room to some effect but I could not open them fully for security concerns. My room was at the same level as a flat roof covering part of the hotel and there were neighbouring houses just 10m away. For a laugh the hotel had positioned a portable airconditioner in the room with the vent on it's rear not connected to the outside. The result being that the airconditioner blew cool air out of the front and hot air out of the rear. The nett affect on room temperature was nil. Lastly if you were expecting a sea view forget it. There is a second rate view from the top floor (level 6) restaurant but if you like peering into the adjacent houses this could be the place for you.
Great location. Comfortable room for one night. Good bed and nice shower. We could charge the electric car (for €15)
Price quality ratio is not on par. It is - to my opinion - approx. 25 € too expensive per night
Really useless and arrogant receptionist made a complete meal of a left behind book problem
