Pros: The house was beautifully decorated and although an old building new windows and mosquito screens at the window made the room very comfortable. Christina was the perfect host - she even gave us a lift into town one evening.

Pros: The home, the host, the location....PERFECT! We loved staying in Christine’s beautiful home. She is a lovely, gracious host and showed us all around her gorgeous property, fed us an incredible breakfast and offered info and stories about Cortona. The room was beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. The private bathroom was exceptional.We wished we could have stayed longer...hopefully next time!

Pros: The pool, garden, home cooked dinner, breakfast buffet, cooking class and everything Claudia recommended was breathtaking!Claudia and all her helpers Rosa, Paula and even her Sister Mimosa were extremely friendly and helpful. Claudia is the best host we have come across all our travels around the world.

Pros: Il Sole Del Sodo is an idyllic place. Enough privacy to enjoy on your own, but also common areas , and delicious dinner with local dishes cooked by the lovely host Claudia, twice a week .

Pros: My mother and I loved our stay at Il Sole! We were greeted by the most wonderful, friendly and welcoming of hosts - Francesca and her dear cousin Claudia. You ladies are pure gold! This charming Italian country house property is located at the foothill of Cortona and it is only a 15 minute walk into town and very close to the train station of Camucia-Cortona. Thank you Francesca and Claudia for making our stay comfortable and truly unforgettable! Thank you for your hospitality! Bacio a tutti - ti mandiamo il nostro amore!

Pros: The breakfast was amazing. So many choices and they coffee was so really good. Enjoyed eating on the patio outside. The rooms were charming and the host even prepared a lovely dinner for a few of the guests. It had the charm I was looking for when staying in Tuscany.

Cons: Own vehicle very necessary as this is a B&B with nowhere to walk to for food/drink except a minimart. But drink available in house and food could be ordered specially. Also great homemade meal available twice a week. Taxi necessary to visit hilltop town of Cortona..quite pricey.

Cons: I liked everything. The hostess Claudia was really helpful in telling us about the winery's we could visit and day drives to enjoy the country side. The beds were comfortable and clean.

Pros: Just a few miles outside of Cortona this small hotel gets to take advantage of its immediate neighbors- tennis courts, large swimming pool and a great restaurant. All use the same name but are independently owned - at one time under one ownership.
Cons: The hotel itself is small but it is up to date with some rooms offering kitchenettes. There is an elevator so luggage is easy to maneuver to the upper floors. The air conditioning is weak - consider just opening the windows for the fresh air. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple but good and the coffee excellent. Very clean with nice bathrooms. Easy drive into Cortona from the hotel. Would suggest luggage racks in the rooms - used chairs as luggage racks.

Pros: Andreas was very helpful and went above and beyond to accomodate us. The hotel is 20 yds off the Piazza Signorelli so very close. There is a parking area outside the wall on the same street, which made it easy-you can even drive in and drop off luggage then go back and park. The breakfast was at the piazza which is always fun for people watching! Beautiful, charming little town and great hotel
