Pros: Incredible location, it felt like living in a piece of history but still with all the luxuries you could expect at any high end accommodation. Marie was extremely accommodating and helpful, a lovely host. The breakfast was also amazing with lots of options and local fare. Would love to go back!

Pros: The warm welcome and hospitality of Marie was exceptional. The location is perfect and the historical nature of their home is incredible. It has been furnished beautifully and is very comfortable. The homemade croissants were sensational!

Pros: This is a rare 10 out 10 private hotel. The location (and view) coupled with hospitality shown by the patron as well as the remarkable authenticity of the actual building really leave a great memory. Very comfortable and clean and quiet . Book the suite even though it is a slight premium --breakfast included is always a nice perk especially the quality of food delivered.

Pros: A fantastic hotel to stay in at Cordes-sur-Ciel. A 15th century palace, professionally and beautifully restored. Dining/living room is fantastic, furnished with antique furniture. Rooms are lovely restored and very clean and comfortable. Room offered a fantastic view of the valley A place that makes you feel like being a noble.

Pros: Cordes- sur - Ciel is the most beautiful hill top town surrounded by equally, beautiful countryside and stunning villages, that are definitely worth visiting. This peaceful, historic house will take you back in time. Marie, is the most elegant and caring hostess who wishes to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our room was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious ( bread, cheese, ham, jams, fruit, yoghurt,cereal, cake and home made croissants, taken in the most beautiful dining room of their home with views on to the terrace and beyond. Upon our arrival , without us having requested, Marie had already reserved for us a table at a good restaurant, 3-4 minutes walk, so we would avoid the tourist traps, how’s that for service? It was a beautiful restaurant and the food was delicious. The towns central square is 3-4 minutes walk also. We were also given maps and details of all the lovely surrounding villages to visit. A memorable stay.

Chateau Labistoul is 4 km from Cordes sur Ciel, France best preserved medieval village draped on a hill in the Tarn 20 minutes from Albi with its world-famous Cathedral Saint-Cécile is Château Labistoul in nature. Gite Labistoul has its location with stunning views.  There is private access to the lake and the swimming pool.  The cottage is equipped with a washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen.  There are four spacious bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 with bath and one with shower and there are three toilets.  The kitchen has a medieval stone floor and the arch-wall is the side of the 11th century watchtower.  The masonry arch was probably an entrance to the tower.  From the kitchen you enter the lounge with a 1st Yotul fireplace, where one can watch TV or relax. In line with this, there is another salon where A fireplace adorns the room and spreads into the wonderful warmth and autumn (wood is provided by us).  Throughout the cottage is free wireless Internet access available to you. The property has a beautiful appearance and the wooden beams of the cottage give an extra charm to the whole.  From the cottage you have free access to the estate of Labistoul.  Holiday Homes in Southern France for rent in a stunning location.     A bientôt

Cons: If you go on a Sunday like everywhere in France it can be tricky to find somewhere to eat. It would be amazing if they offered an evening meal but totally understand why you wouldn't!

Pros: We liked this idea of staying in a small castle and this place ticks all the boxes. Great rooms, communication with the hosts was fantastic and a breakfast that exceeded our expectations. In spite of the thick walls the wifi was very good too.

Pros: Idyllic place with extremely hospitable owners who do their bests to make your stay unforgettable. Close to Cordes, which is also beautiful. I personally enjoyed the many flowers and the pool very much, also the breakfast was fresh and nice.
Cons: Mosquitoes - but our host also provided us with a repellent and we could have used the aircon instead of opening the window.

Pros: Beautiful room, adjoining bathroom, so comfortable. Marjo was so welcoming and helpful and very thoughtful about accommodating my limited mobility. She recommended a nearby bistro, which was great with good live music. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful. Marjo made so much effort in making our visit so pleasurable. We will definitely return on our next visit to the area soon. Very highly recommended.

Pros: The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They were not cooking the night we were there but recommended an excellent restaurant. The quality of the breakfast was excellent, so dinner reservations would be highly recommended. There is a lovely garden and the interior of the dining area is full of charm......including a well!
Cons: The location was a bit tricky to find but a local resident gave us directions. Good parking nearby.

Pros: Great setting and fabulous accommodations. Our hosts were very welcoming and gracious and really went to great lengths to make us feel at home. Their beautiful home was very nicely appointed and our room and bathroom were very comfortable and sparkling clean. Highly recommended and planning on going back to stay longer if possible.

Pros: Everything about this 2 nights stay was fantastic, from the owners to the landscape. This is a beautiful property, so peaceful! It was amazing to sit on the patio & have breakfast, we enjoyed the homemade crepes & French toast. Kids enjoyed the pool @ the end of a very hot day visiting around!

Cons: Shower in need of refresh. No tea making facilities in room. No lift to second floor. Felt a bit high on price relative to what was delivered. Eg breakfast was 15euros but no croisants and limited choice of cereals, and presented on shelving with little surface to set dish or cup on. Poor lighting breakfast room made it hard to read product labels.
