8,5 Excellent
Pros: We loved the Hydropath and the waterfront view. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
Cons: The restaurant was a bit pricey and the food was just okay.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We were in a recently refurbished room with an ocean view. The room was stylish and comfortable with everything you need. The bathroom had an amazing shower. Restaurant and bar were excellent. Staff were friendly and efficient. We would stay here again for a short, relaxing break.
4,8 Okay
Pros: Ocean Front View
Cons: Booked a room on the main floor due to mobility issues when we arrived our room was on the 2nd flr. We were offer the only room on the main floor that was available it was the last one yet to be renovated and updated. WTF??? Why would we take that?? The upstairs room must have been updated years ago! If we liked we could also upgrade to a king room as they were in a section of the resort that had an elevator but that would cost an extra 80.00 a night from what were paying. We took the room on the second floor and did the stairs. We felt we were being punished with the leftover, last on the list dumpy room because we used an online service to book. Most uncomfortable beds we have ever had at any place we have ever stayed. Not sure how old the mattresses were but I haven't seen ones like that for many many years, my parents owned a resort 30 some years ago and they looked very familiar even the handles were falling off. When we inquired at the front desk the next morning about what could be done with the terrible mattress we were told that a lot of people like a harder mattress and they offered to put on a foam topper, as well move us to a main flr room. We returned from a day out our suitcases had been moved to a new room but they never put the topper on the same ugly worn out hard mattresses, Mgmt said that they didn't have anything for the queen rooms only for the king beds and there was really nothing they could do except maybe put a few comforters down as a topper??? Needless to say we did not stay the second night and checked out instead of suffering through another sleepless night. Basically the facility had beautiful grounds well cared for but the rest of the place minus the lobby was dumpy and run down .
9,6 Excellent
Pros: If you haven't ate at the Kingfisher for a while, it's time to give it a try. The food was outstanding, and the prices reasonable, with lots of options for different tastes. Happy hour from 3-5, beautiful grounds, lovely pool , steam cave, change rooms etc. No need to leave the property!
Cons: Nothing to complain about on this two night stay.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: We bought breakfast in fancy Aqua restaurant and it was very good.
Cons: nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful and friendly. Facilities were very clean and well appointed. Meals were fresh, tasty and well cooked and presented. The grounds in general and the centre courtyard in particular are beautifully designed and well cared for. Rooms have balconies with spectacular views of the garden and ocean beyond.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our stay, dinner at the restaurant was excellent. Lovely grounds. Firepit is a nice touch.
7,9 Good
Pros: The restaurant is fantastic for a special meal. The gardens are beautiful and staff is friendly. Liked the fireplace in the room and the fire bowls to sit around at night.
Cons: I was in the older building and it could use a refresh, particularly to the stairs and outside. I stayed in October when it was a little cooler, so blankets at the fire bowls and in the relaxatyareas if the spa would’ve nice. Was disappointed that the room only had a shower, no tub. Was a nice place but there are other spas on the island that feel more luxurious for the money.
5,1 Okay
Pros: Service and attitude of staff was excellent. Breakfast was delicious and the evening desert and cocktails in the Bistro Bar overlooking the water was superb. Hot tub and pool was welcome and relaxing after a busy day hiking in Strathcona Park, The Wave - Relaxation Massage was first class and the perfect way to end our vacation.
Cons: The room. It was very poorly appointed and with the queen bed against the wall, it was impossible to get in-out of on one side. But mostly the view. or lack thereof.. On a previous visit, what I liked best was the view, overlooking the bay towards Comox. This time we were abutting the parking lot with a tiny peak of water when looking out the porch glass door. A disappointment after traveling 5K miles to be locked into an uncomfortable space with no view, Part of the problem is that when booking via a third party, seems like the customer is put at the "back of the bus". Lesson .... book directly?

9,2 Excellent

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts were excellent. The location, room and facilities all top notch. The breakfast was beyond amazing. We would highly recommend this B&B. The two dogs Pocos and Rocket were wonderful and we were so glad they were here.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely B/B in a beautiful location. It’s been a while since we’ve stayed in traditional B&B and it is really wonderful to have that experience again and to interact with the owners who were really wonderful. The food was great and the location was beautiful overlooking the water with bald eagles right on the beach. They have two lovely large dogs who are very friendly. Our room was comfy and had a en suite bathroom.
Cons: Signage to the place was a bit difficult even with our GPS! I would not recommend trying to find it in the dark. I would have liked some nicer amenities, including some hair conditioner. You will need to drive to town for dinner, there aren’t any restaurants within walking distance, but the drive didn’t take too long.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Room was very spacious, restaurant was excellent with great service.
Cons: Other than taxi not being at airport to pick us up as arranged. Nothing springs to mind
4,0 Okay
Pros: Good location and beautiful garden like grounds. Good restaurant.
Cons: First we were given an old room with bad musty/smoke smells in a remote location. Then we were switched to a room with a noisy drinking party going on above us which did not stop until we complained to management past midnight, even while the hotel promised us a quiet room. Then we were upgraded to a king suite, which was very nice but not really necessary for our stay.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Crown Isle is a great resort with all the facilities you can wish for a good holiday or a nice weekend away from home. The golf course is well taken care of and all the employees we met face to face were very friendly and were glad to assist us during our staying. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday so it was important that everything to be perfect.
Cons: Unfortunately we had to deal with a horrible attitude from one of a manager of the resort. We arrived on 13th of September and had to check out on 14th of September at 11:00 am. In the morning on the day we were supposed to check out, my husband decided to make a surprise for me and get another night at the room we had because at that point we were really happy with our staying at Crown Isle. So on 14th around 8 am he personally went to the front desk and booked another night at the room with an employee there. According to the fact that the prolongation of the room was confirmed personally we didn’t expect all the calls and messages we found when we came back to the room around 1 pm. Then we got another call from a female who represented herself like a manager of the resort and said that we have to leave the room because other guests “who booked it for 5 nights” are waiting for it and that we couldn’t book it for another night. I’m really disappointed that “the manager” didn’t even talk with the employee who made us confident (after personal visit to the front desk) that we have the room for another night before calling us and literally accusing us of overstaying. In my opinion a resort of Crowns Isle level shouldn’t have this type of attitude to customers. Here attempts to solve the issue ended with the offer to move to the next door room (which is 4 times smaller and doesn’t have all the facilities which were the main reason we decided to stay. In the summary of the review I would like to say that it clearly was a simple mistake from the employee at the front desk but “the manager” could have solved the situation in a completely different way and at least apologize to my husband who had his birthday but instead of relaxing he had to deal with the job which “the manager” was supposed to do. In my opinion the whole situation was completely inappropriate.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful extra large suite with a full kitchen, beautiful bathroom and comfortable beds. Very quiet tranquil scenery.
Cons: Needs a make up mirror in the bathroom. And better resort information at check in, where the restaurant is etc. as the hotel is split up in to villa's (separate buildings).

Pros: No breakfast and none was promised. There is a restaurant on site but it was closed for the holiday.

7,9 Good
Pros: It was clean and the bed was comfortable
Cons: The spa tub ( in the indoor and old looking pool area) out of commission; no fan In the bathroom. the room small, but otherwise good value for the money. The reception lady had forgotten that I had called to tell her when we would arrive , earlier that day. Fortunately she had not cancelled the reservation, to sell on to someone else. Then she gave us a room away from the road side of the building.
