8,7 Excellent (340 reviews)
Cons: It would be good if the rooms had AC
Pros: Good WiFi and lovely owners. Very clean and great breakfast
Pros: Restaurant next door
Cons: For time of year no local bars open
Pros: Great base for exploring Lorient and further Breton destinations. Easy parking on pavement outside the hotel and many eateries within walking distance. Excellent breakfast - bread/croissants but also eggs, ham, cheese, fruit...
Pros: Its location close to LA Base, Flore S645 submarine and Cite de la Voile Eric Tabardly. Free on street parking directly opposite hotel
Cons: The WiFi was very intermittent
Pros: The breakfast room was clean and tidy, and the continental breakfast was good, with fresh fruit and good coffee.
Cons: Nil, as expected from website
Pros: Location is good - within 1 km of the town centre and only 10 mins walk from the marina complex.
Cons: Nothing. We had received an email telling us that we couldn't check in until 1830 on Sundays and we arrived earlier but that was not a problem to us. Meant time for a couple of beers after a long dry motorcycle ride.
Close to the theater, congress center, railway station and marina, the Mercure Lorient Centre hotel enjoys a central location. This welcoming hotel provides modern, air-conditioned and soundproofed rooms only 45 min by boat from the island of Groix. Choos e from an array of nearby restaurants in the evening, or simply pull up a chair at our cozy lounge bar.
Pros: Smack in the middle of town , close to restaurants and bar . Very friendly staff and service . Good breakfast
Cons: Matrass could be better
Pros: Excellent location, large room, great bathroom, excellent breakfast. It had both powerplugs and USB ports in the bedside tables. The staff was excedingly nice and helpfull. Free street parking in front of the hotel
Cons: Nothing really negative.
Pros: Location was perfect! The room was lovely clean and spacious. We are so pleased to be able to stay with our dog. Breakfast was varied and very good
Pros: Most helpful staff. Killer breakfast from 4:30 AM on! Romney tastefully furnished, and I love the lounge/bar area. Excellent WiFi.
Cons: Wish there were a fan-only setting on the room thermostat. Could not open window due rain. Room thus was stuffy.
A stay at Victor Hugo places you in the heart of Lorient, within a 15-minute walk of Stade du Moustoir and Theatre de la Chimere. Featured amenities include express check-in, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location was very convenient to the centre of the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Pros: The resorption was very nice and helpful. Good breakfast. Very close to restaurants, free parking.
Cons: The foom is very small
Pros: Lovely friendly staff, clean rooms with a great shower. The location is nice and it seemed pretty quiet. The breakfast was also amongst the best we had on our five day trip.
Cons: Not a massive problem but the rooms could have done with a fan as it did get a little bit stuffy at night; it was not an option to have the window open as it was right above one of the beds.
Pros: close to town. #13 bus to the Eric Tabarly and Submarine museums is right there. Thanks for the concession tickets. Parking is good and €4 for a motocycle.
Cons: Its not the hotels fault that it was so hot, but it was their fault that they were prepared to do nothing about it, not even considering a fan, which, I tried to explain, would be a smart business move. So if it's going to be over the high 20c and your room is on the top floor and facing the road, I'd suggest you try somewhere else because you won't get much sleep. There was a persistent and annoying plumbing noise from the bathroom.
Pros: The owner / manager was so helpful and spoke excellent English.
Cons: The bar and restaurant weren't open but we understood as it was being refurbished.
Pros: A decent hotel overall but the room was minuscule and appropriate only for sleeping. The breakfast for 9.50 euros included boiled eggs, mini crepes, cheese, deli meats, croissants and cereal. Staff were really friendly.
Pros: Lovely staff doing their best in a property badly in need of refurbishment.
Cons: This is an old property looking very tired. The first thing that strikes you as you go upstairs is the worn and ingrained carpet and the shabby upstairs corridotmr. Some minor improvements have been made (usb sockets in the bedroom) but the bathroom door was simply hanging from runners with no means of closing properly. The room (which was one of the more expensive) was very small.
Pros: Great for overnight- location, clean, convenient and friendly staff
8,3 Excellent (427 reviews)

Pros: The room was spacious (twin bedroom). Beds were big (wide, not length) and comfortable. The hotel is close to the train station.
Cons: The hotel, in general, is run down and not well maintained. Moreover, it is not as clean as it should be. In particular, the bathroom was mouldy (see pictures). The reception staff was unable to book a taxi for us despite (allegedly) spending 45 minutes on the task.
Pros: Very convenient, free parking, modern bathrooms, one CNN TV channel, and helpful staff. Very good value. Lovely restaurant Le Sabyon right around the corner!
Cons: WiFi was not secure
Pros: Close to restaurants and mall Staff were friendly and helpful. Car parking was free and easily accessible Morning meal facilities were good and atmosphere was relaxing. Older boutique hotel but limited accom availability in Lorient. Overall good to very good
Cons: Rooms need to be upgraded and no air conditioning requiring us to sleep with the window open
Pros: The staff was amazing, bedroom was perfect and breakfast was so good!!! Great stay at this place! Would totally recommend it and will definitely come back!

Pros: Its a good little hotel in a good location. Lots of restaurant choice nearby.

Cons: All good.
Pros: The place was well above expectation. Which is hard to achieve. It was simple but exactly what I had been after. Staff were super friendly and helpful.
Cons: The elevator was tight. But nothing can be done about that. It didn’t affect my feeing of the place.
Pros: Extremely noisy the whole night.
Cons: Beds and breakfast too
Pros: Room was basic but comfortable. Bathroom was recently renovated and good. The continental breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Hotel was a bit dated, but keep in mind it is a 3 star property, so overall it was good value for money.

Pros: EVERYTHING WAS JUST AS I LIKE IT
Pros: Superb location in the city centre with parking. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast with lots to choose from.
Pros: This Is a great little hotel. Nicest people you could meet. Although a three star, this would leave many four stars in the shade. Great central location, super rooms and super comfort. Really good restaurants nearby.
Cons: Nothing really.

Pros: Lovely calm hotel close to centre. Great bathroom and lovely powerful shower. Breakfast buffet very nice.
Cons: Nothing I didn't like however BBC World not working- enjoyed watching French stations though!
Pros: Breakfast more than generous
Pros: Quiet room and excellent shower.
Cons: Not too close to centre.
Pros: Located not far from city centre, with car park. Room was fine, no issues with it or the bathroom - not the Ritz, but fine for a short break. We asked for iron and ironing board - it was pristine, do not think anyone had ever ironed there before!
Cons: No lift - with a very heavy case, it took a few stops on the stairs before reaching the room. Did not have the breakfast, so can not comment on that. Only breakfast is catered for, however a short walk away, there is the city centre, with restaurants and bars.
Pros: Clean and silent, near the city centre and train station.

Cons: evening meal available
Pros: Staff kindness and support
Pros: The staff were very friendly
Cons: No air con or a fan in the room - it was too hot. no kettle/tea making facilities in room
Pros: Good menu choice for the breakfast, something for everyone. The location was ok for us to access back to the main route when leaving.
Cons: Just a coat hanger on the door for damp coats.

Contemporary and cozy atmosphere, comfortable bedding, our establishment is entirely smoke-free.
Pros: Good price for this day...
Cons: Neighborhood not very nice. Very loud in front to the street.
Pros: It's simple but highly adequate and nicely located. There are two very good restaurants around the corner - Le Pic and the Pousse Pousse. Plus a laundromat across the side street - and grocery store and bakery attached.
Cons: It's a bit noisy outside with bus stops below and the train station beyond. There are some loud louts around but otherwise it was not that bad.
Pros: I got the food need to start the day and was pleased with it. Big parking places in the garage under the hotel was very good.
Cons: Location of the hotel wasn't the best, and to reach the reception was stupid. No place to park the car and you had to find and understand that it is in the underground garage you have to park and thereafter find the reception. Messy!
Pros: Wd definitely stay again if coming to Lorient. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Tthe breakfast was pretty good too! For us arriving by train and deparing by boat from the marina at Port Plaisance, the location was perfect. Thankyou!
Cons: This is being very picky...the lifr was slow!!

With a stay at Rex Hotel in Lorient, you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Theatre de la Chimere and Centre Hospitalier de Bretagne sud. Featured amenities include express check-in and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: No lift, dirty, smelled rooms, the receptionist doesn t speak english...and not exactly polite.

Located in Lorient, Les Gens de Mer Lorient is within a 5-minute drive of Cite de la Voile Eric Tabarly and Stade du Moustoir. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and laundry facilities. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the restaurant food good value although the menu is limited - similar to menu ouvrier lunch time set menus. Breakfast was very good with a good selection. Bedroom small but very clean.
Cons: The double bed is 'standard' size and as a big person used to a larger size bed I found it cramped, should have asked for a twin room - my fault not the hotel's!! The outside of the hotel looks a bit run down but inside it is well decorated and modern. The hotel faces the docks and a large lorry park where there are freezer lorries parked, these have motors running all night so with windows open as it was hot (no air con!) it was a bit noisy. But this is a budget hotel not the Ritz so not really a complaint, more an observation by me.
Cons: We had previously asked to be given a quiet room and were told that all rooms were quiet. This was not the case. The walls seemed paper thin meaning that there was the sound of furniture being moved around a lot of the time, a couple adjacent were having a 'heated discussion' until 1am and we heard EVERY word. It sounded like there was someone playing a drum kit above us and in some other adjacent room it sounded like someone had a power tool workshop. Added to this was the tiny bedroom; the only place that 2 slim adults could pass each other was near the door. The hotels own description of a 'harbour view' is misleading. They fail to explain that the view is actually the back of crumbling dock side buildings that were built by the Germans during the second world war. There is no view where you can see water in a harbour.
Cons: Smells damp rendering come off the walls
Pros: The manager was very accommodating as we had booked three twin rooms but he let us have six single rooms at no extra charge. It was very clean and the rooms had a modern feel. Close walk to the WWII submarine base.
Cons: Location was chosen as it we very near the submarine base we had planned to visit, looked very nice on the web site but was located adjacent to a busy industrial estate and looked a little run down from the outside, nice and clean inside with staff happy to help. Breakfast was a little bit expensive at 8 euros but it was nothing out of the ordinary, typical continental breakfast.
Pros: Quiet, cheap, clean
Pros: Very basic breakfast not good value for money
Cons: Very noisy in the early hours of the morning
Pros: It's cheap, staff is friendly and parking is free.
Cons: Outside it smells like dead fish. The shower was lukewarm at best and the nozzle could not hang from the wall but had to be handheld.
Cons: Nasty place, nasty manager making nasty comments about quests when they left. Locals seemed happy but he didn’t like the British.
Pros: Clean room
Cons: In middle of an industrial estate ideal for lorry drivers
