Fire Alarm went off at 5am no apology or compensation! £5.00 delivery charge for room service!!! The spa allowed children therefore it wasn’t what I consider a spa!
The room cleaning was good. The room view from lake was great and the afternoon tea as well. The room space was nice but except the bathroom. The spa body massage was very good (we did 3 spa treatments and the only one I really recommend is the full body massage).
First day they had no robe to offer. The bar food was average and the cocktails weren’t good (but the restaurant food was good). They forgot to add one spa service to the bill and had to call us after we left the hotel cause the paper bill hadn’t a good specification items (but it happens).
Hotel was immaculate, nice atmosphere and very family friendly - half term saw a good mix of visitors. Busy spa in the evenings though as facilities not open to hotel visitors during the day which is a shame. Would be stunning in summer, borders busy A roads which is a bit noisy but great for getting to villages and longer journeys such as Bath. Overall, great stay!
Slightly chilly rooms but it was winter - could have used an extra blanket.
Spa was very good . Back massage excellent and pool sauna very good .brasserie restaurant was good value for money and the old boathouse pub had excellent views of the lake. Weather although bad didn’t ruin experience
My husband & I came for a relaxing night away, went to the swimming pool but only to be joined but lots of children with their families 20 minutes later..... it was no longer relaxing
