An awesome bed and breakfast. The beds were amazingly comfortable and everything was very clean. The 2 ladies working were very friendly and helpful. They treated us like they have known us for years. Talking with other people at breakfast was very nice. The decor blended perfectly with the paint scheme and the kitchen was quite amazing. We stayed here as we went to shows at Joe's bar for a Ryan Hurd concert and it worked out great. Maybe a 6 minute uber ride away. Will definitely return to this property our next stay in downtown.
There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this property.
The room was incredibly clean, comfortable and I loved the rooftop lounging area - there were even blankets provided for the cold. The shower was huge with a nice rainfall head. Breakfast in the morning was expansive with options ranging from granola and breads to charcuterie and eggs and was well attended to by the friendly staff. I also appreciated the walkability of the neighborhood as this is something that is important to me when traveling. I had no problem walking one direction to shops in Old Town and the theater for an improv show the other direction.
Hardly anything not to like! There was some distracting noise carryover from room to room and it was easy to hear people walking up the stairs and through the hallways, but that's understandable with the age of the building.
Everything was perfect. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Chicago. Felt like we were living in our own amazing home with the most thoughtful staff! We are already looking at dates in the spring to spend several days.
Everything was perfect!
The rooms and bed were very comfortable.
Homey and great location and great spot for what we paid for and only a few minutes from the downtown.
Breakfast could have been a little more filling than just cereals and pastries some breakfast cooking would be nice.
