That every guest gets a 40th floor room with amazing views of the city. Pretty special!
That we couldn’t stay an extra night (there was nothing we didn’t like!)
great view and rooms were very nice
Hard to find hotel, with next to no signage. Came on weekend, no bars or resturants open in hotel. Too much security to get to room but then you need to wait in sketchy alley for taxi.
40th floor views are amazing, room and bathroom large and comfortable with excellent bedding and amazing towels. The continental breakfast is served in a lovely room and had some nice variety and good healthy choices. Location very convenient for public transportation.
Location is completely deserted on the weekend - so can feel creepy and deserted. The rooms are all on the 40th floor and there appears to be no staff except the front desk staff in the lobby who function also as security guards. Some were friendly, but several were surly and unhelpful. I was told there was a "concierge" on the 3rd floor, but the desk was empty with no signs it had ever been inhabited. Food and alcohol options in the building NOT available on the weekend.
The location was good for the meeting that I attended.
The overall condition of the room was that it was OLD and outdated. The mattresses were absolutely WORN OUT! No signage outside the hotel making it difficult to locate even for the cab driver.
The room was very nice. Everything very clean and even smelled clean - not like perfume or disinfectant - just nothing offensive or old. And the view was amazing. I usual sit on the bed and watch TV in hotel rooms, but here I gazed out of the window, like a cat or something. Security was excellent as the building is shared with other businesses. Less than 10 minute Uber to the magnificent mile and only 3 blocks from Willis tower.
The "breakfast" was poor. A few bagels, tiny cinnamon rolls and packages of oatmeal. The worst part though was the little fridge wasn't working properly so everything was warm and the milk spoiled and curdled. I told the front desk person (no one in the lounge to be found) she said she'd get it fixed. The next morning, the milk was replaced but everything was still warm. I couldn't even test out the milk because there wasn't any utensils. The procedure to get to the room was slightly tedious, having to take 3 elevators from the parking garage. Understandable as the building is shared with other businesses.
