Fior Di Farine - La Morra - Building

9,5 Excellent (231 reviews)
R1 906+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Fior di Farine in La Morra, you'll be a 5-minute walk from Belvedere di La Morra and within a 5-minute drive of Sylla Sebaste. Free self parking is available onsite.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location was great and the bed and breakfast nice overall but Lily is what made the place. Her help and enthusiasm was outstanding and the service in general was excellent. It was an older house so very charming and parking was free and right in front of the house so very convenient.
Cons: Our room was very small and the shower leaked. We did come in early one night due to very rainy and foggy conditions and were able to sit in the living room area but it would have been nice to have a sitting area in our room. If the weather hadn't been so foggy which appears to be a bit worse in La Morra than other places, it would have been better but still I thought that the room was awfully small for the price. Other rooms looked much nicer but were pricier. We also had 2 flights of very steep stairs to get to the room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful bed and breakfast with swimming pool and terrase to wind down. Breakfast was probably one of the best we ever had at an B&B or hotel and the staff was really wonderful! Also very nice to visit the mill and see how they work with artisanal methods to make high quality flour:)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our host was amazingly friendly and helpful. The fully home made breakfast is most probably the best I ever had in this Region!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautiful spacious and air conditioned! The little pool worked great for a refreshing dip and the location was central, walkable distance to restaurants, gorgeous views, and more! Also the house made breakfast was devine.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lilli was a warm and energetic host who made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Beautiful B+B right next to a flour mill which smells fantastic. Fantastic parking area, lovely pool area and our room had everything we needed including a spacious shower (with good water pressure). And breakfast was amazing. Baking with the flour from the mill was delicious, great coffee, lovely fruits... Highly recommend!
Cons: It was perfect!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic welcoming personnel. Great homemade breakfast with good caffe. Air conditioning in all rooms and good wifi. Nice and clean everywhere. The appartment was in particular great for family of four. Great recommondations to resturants and activities by the personnel. Small but very clean and cosy outdoor area with swimmingpool. Car parking in shaded area.
Cons: One of the rooms we had was a bit noisy related to trafic in/out of nearby rooms.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect! Very nice staff, very clean, confortable, wonderful breakfast (all homemade, even the bread!) and a very nice terrace with swimming pool. It is perfect, if you want to stay in the village of La Morra for enjoying the nice Restaurants in the center (walking distance). Even the wine yards are just around the corner, but it is not on the countryside outside of any urbanization. La Morra is a very special village and close of other villages with wonderful restaurants. B&B Fior di Farine is absolutely recomendable for all lover of very nice restored old italian houses.
Cons: For a culinary trip B&B Fior di Farine is perfect. Specially for couples and group of friends. It is acceptable for family with children, but for them there might be other better options with large gardens and greater distance to busy roads.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lillie the owner was really friendly and helpful.we struggled to make our own dinner reservations but Lillie went the extra mile and helped us.....they were brill restaurants. She also made great recommendations for cantinas. we will def be back and have recommended this B and B to friends already

Pros: This is a beautifully renovated old building right next to the flour mill the family owns. The common areas and rooms are elegantly furnished and roomy. The owners are really friendly and they serve an excellent breakfast. Will definitely return!

8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great, they booked us wine tasting and helped with some printing/scanning work we had to do. The hotel was really cute, the room was quite nice.
Cons: we thought that the room was very dark, it was facing the restaurant so they had tinted windows and curtains everywhere, so even in a day time we had light on. But other than that room was nice and spacious :)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional service - we will come back again!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We had an absolutely wonderful stay from start to finish. Everyone at Uve was so welcoming, the room was exceptional in every way, down to the speakers we could use and the Frette linens and bathrobes. Plus, they had half bottles of Rocche Costamagna Barolo in the rooms - delicious!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was tasty, fresh, and included eggs cooked to order. Service was pleasant and immediate. We asked about opening a wine we purchased elsewhere and staff were wonderful. Accommodated us beautifully. Grace was wonderful!!!
Cons: Maybe more fresh fruit-but it was autumn and selection may have been limited. It was a little noisy, but again, totally acceptable because of the great location in the middle of the town.

Pros: The view from the balcony was amazing. The receptionist was also fantastic - not only did she give us a wonderful tasting and wine cellar tour, but made us a reservation at a restaurant that had the best food of our trip. Top notch stay!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located in the center of the town, La Morra. From one hand you are not in the middle of wine yards , on the other hand, wide choice and quality of their wines, plus high-end atmosphere of the hotel makes a perfect combination of the Barolo region retreat. We were given a detailed tour to their wine production and tasted a good number of wines (included in package). As hotel guests we also got 10$ off for the wine shop. The wine itself provides great value for money. Highly recommended.
Cons: Wine yards are located in a distance from the hotel.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Perfectly located, wonderful view from the terrace
Cons: The breakfast at Ove is rather poor (once we got cold coffee, they run out of orange juice and yoghurt etc.)

Pros: The owner and staff were amazingly helpful and accommodating. The hotel itself was charming and beautifully appointed.

Cons: nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, with a lovely 25 min walk through the vineyards to get to Barolo. Breakfast was superb and the room was large and the bed was so comfortable we took the make of the mattress to buy one for home. The staff were brilliant and could not do enough for you. Wish we could have stayed longer as its a beautiful part of Italy.
Cons: Not a lot to dislike.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I have been twice already and I love the place, the location and view over the Piedmont! The owners are lovely and I definitely will return!!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The food at the hotel was exceptional. Some of the best meals we had our entire trip and very affordable. Views from every spot on the property were beautiful. Pool was a good size and the loungers were really comfortable. All the staff went over and above to make the stay great. Appreciated they helped us book a smaller winery one day when we didn’t have plans. The vertical wine tasting with Roberto was the best we have ever done. Well worth the money and the cellar and tasting room are so nice.
Cons: In our room the bed was really creaky every time one of us moved and the A/C was so loud when on high. Restaurant could use some work as the lights were really bright and there wasn’t much ambience. At the pool there appeared to be a wasp problem and way too many pigeons. Overall still a really great stay though!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Service, Landscape, food , wine... amazing dinner with amazing view. Bedroom; beautiful, big and comfortable. I definatley will go back!!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The views are unbelievable. The staff and the location made this stay unforgettable.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly superior hotel, a nice level of luxury without any snobby attitude. The staff were great with our small kids, nice touches in the rooms (IPod with decent music, flip flops etc)
Cons: Slightly better black out curtains on the floor to ceiling windows for longer lie-ins, would have been good to have a coffee machine in the room or available for guests at reception. And the dry cleaning service shrunk my dress !
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We love everything about this hotel, we have stayed twice now and love the style, facilities, staff and most of all the view!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The very spacious rooms.
Cons: There wasn’t anything I did not like
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, romantic and stylish room, friendly staff, always helpful when I need something. The views over the vineyards are spectacular. I had dinner at the hotel and it was excellent, and I could do a tasting of the owners wines, they were also excellent. This was one of the greatest dinner in my holiday. Breakfast was excellent.

Pros: Everything was great: service, super cozy duvet, warm room, big, quiet.
Cons: The only thing I would say is when entering the hallway, it smelled like stale smoke. They should ensure that no one smokes inside the other rooms bc it is off-putting. I didn’t, however, smell it once I entered my room.

Pros: A really great place! The hosts are very nice and helpful! The area is astonishing, great views and of course the food and wine is excellent. A very nice area to explore. Wonderful cities/villages are very near and also Torino is close enough to spend a nice day out there (great city)! Il Grappholo is a very nice place to explore one of the most exciting wine area's in the world!
Cons: Nothing, maybe the pillows (but this is of course very "individually" and sensitive) could have been a little more "solid" (but of course Dutch people always complain about something....).

9,6 Excellent
Pros: + breakfast was on international standard, buffet with frits, sausage, cheese etc. , excellet cappuchino + perfect location for trips to langhe area + enough good restaurants/bars in town + quiet, good internet connection
Cons: - nothing
6,3 Good
Pros: The room and bathroom we had was very large and nicely decorated. The highlight though is the setting in the former monastery which makes the stay quite unique. There is also a nice pool area and plenty of easy parking.
Cons: We chose the hotel to a large part also for it's restaurant option but were rather disappointed. The food wasn't bad but we know it can get much better in the area for less money. You should also be aware that the restaurant is not open every day and there aren't many other options in the village itself (but of course plenty in the vicinity)
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast as italian breakfast is - lots of cakes, white bread, charcuteri and cheese. We were happy to find yoghurt, honey and linseed. our kids liked the pancakes :-) Great coffee. Great room - had a junior suite with access to the garden - ground floor. Great - small, very cold pool - but no ladder to get up and down. No problem for us, but the elder guests had problems. Overall nice staff. Beautiful place, beautiful hotel. Beautiful pool. Nice city. Nice with a non smooking hotel. Cleaning was very good. And the reception staff was SO nice - except from one, whom thought we couldnt understand italian and talked bad about other people and told her colleague that we were "annoying" because we "had too high standards" regarding restaurants.
Cons: The beds was kind a special! The double bed in junior suite was very short. Nice, but short - even for at 170 cm. It was pretty and looked amazing. Sofabed, in living room, was very soft. We were happy that our kids werent heavy enough to feel the many springs. And the duvets - open sheets - duvet - open sheets. Not like other hotels where its inside. One day after house cleaning the one duvet was missing , only sheets left- its was quite annoying to find out in the middle of the night with to tired kids. Restaurant was not what we expected.
5,8 Okay
Pros: The architecture is amazing, a beautiful pool, good breakfast. Lots of character to the building.location brilliant. but the service is average at best and some staff had little desire to provide any service.
Cons: The arrival and reception was poor. We arrived early and bags were left in the lobby for some time before being stored. They were not placed in our room when it was available and we were not told so had to go back and collect. In our suite the most expensive room. Basic items were missing like welcome pack or safe instructions. The member of staff who unlocked the safe left before I could work it out. The bed was rock hard. Reception was left unstaffed or with a member of staff who didn't know what to do.
7,5 Good
Pros: Swimming pool, breakfast, parking, location
Cons: Staff didn’t gave much explanation, no bar at swimming pool, price/quality level
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything , Very calm , incredibly beautiful, close to bra Staff extremely nice !
Cons: Everything was perfect
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Breakfast already gone
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. The personnel were always smiling, helpful and attentive.
Cons: We were disappointed with the restaurant “Il Teatro”, not for the quality of the food or the service, which were both excellent, but rather the “ambiance” - or lack of. It was like sitting in a church hall/school hall/works canteen! A cold and cavernous atmosphere, no background music to break the echoey silence and certainly no intimacy. Not somewhere that you wanted to sit, linger and chat - eat up and leave. The breakfast room is 100% nicer with warmth and atmosphere. Perhaps the evening restaurant should swap location....!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and nice place!
