Warm reception and an extremely helpful and attentive host. A magnificent and unusual building full of period charm. Superb breakfast. Comfortable bed. Good location in the town, in peaceful gardens.
The house is unique and beautifully appointed. It was the perfect base to explore the region. Dominique is a superb hostess: friendly, knowledgeable and hospitable. The architecture of the house makes it worth the visit alone!
This beautiful historic house and architectural gem, with an amazing garden and wonderful hosts is set in an excellent spot to explore Loire Valley castles while also enjoying the peace and charm of a quiet French town, as well as the good advice and guidance provided by the hosts.
Dominique was a great hostess with lots of suggestions and helpful advice on what order to visit the chateaux, options in the area for dining, and things to see on the way to my next destination. Breakfast was also great including homemade yogurt and breads. The historic home has tons of character and is lovingly maintained. Would definitely go back!
Exceptionally gracious and helpful hosts. Great period house restored with love and care. Delight to be part of it. Hosts both spoke English and made us feel welcome. Room big, comfortable, very clean and well appointed.

Live a bit of French hiistory and stay at Le Belvedere, an historic listed and renovated stone manor house in the centre of Bléré surrounded by a beautiful park. This three-story French home was built in the 1800s. Dominique and Jean-Renaud, a former air-hostess and airline pilot, will be happy to accomodate you in one of the renovated rooms. They moved back to the family house after a busy life in Paris and travelling worldwide. Their welcome is kind and courteous, and they are antiques collectors, as reflected in the excellent decor of their 1800s fully restored Castel (small chateau). A delicious continental style breakfast is included in the room rate and served under a charming arbour or in the main dining room. Homemade jams and yogurts, fresh fruits and the best croissants of the Loire - what a way to begin a day of Chateaux visiting! There are no cooking facilities in the rooms, however tea/coffee making facilities are provided.
