Have rented from here many times and its always been decent. This time it was awful. Car optuins were all either sticky, dusty or stained sears. As a business traveller this is unacceptable. The customer service was also lacking tremendously and I refused to proceed with the rental.4,4 Mediocre

The high pressure to buy the additional "coverage." I tried to politely tell the agent that I did not want any additional coverage, but he persisted in trying to scare me into buying the coverage. When I again told him that i declined, he told me he was just doing his job. When I returned the car I was asked how my rental experience was and I told the gentleman that i didn't like the high pressure tactic to sell me the insurance. He responded with "That's the name of the game." i replied that I thought is was a crummy game.10,0 Wonderful

Even though we had a confirmed reservation they had no car for us. They said a "glitch" in their reservation system caused overbooking. They said they would call us when a car came in from another location but they never called. The same thing happened to my niece this summer at another VA location. The Car worked okay and got great mileage and the staff really tried to help - they were just understaffed for the amount # of cars going out and coming in.Cons:
The 7 passenger Van was 2.5 hours late in getting to my pickup location. I did not receive a call until I arrived in the parking lot at 9:00 a.m. to pick it up. I had to return and I actually picked it up at about 11:30 a.m. and spent a about 30-45 minutes waiting as they were totally understaffed. The care worked fine, but was smaller than what was advertised - it was definitely not an equal to the model advertised which was a Nissan Pathfinder.2,0 Poor

Cons:
I spoke to budget numerous time before my pickup day. On my day of pick up i talked to them 3 times. I called the morning of pickup to make sure everything was good to go, asked what all I needed to bring and was told a credit/debit card, drivers license, and both had to match the name on the reservation. On the way to pickup the car budget called us twice, once asking what time we were coming and a second time saying the standard suv we were supposed to be getting had an unexpected oil change and so the only thing they could offer us was a minivan or a smaller suv. We settled for the minivan and drove almost 2 hours to pickup. Upon getting there he asked for a credit/debit card to swipe and then said they couldn't rent us a car because of our credit score. So of all the times I talked to this place nothing was mentioned about a credit check. So we got no vehicle and7,6 Good

Drop off at the Asheville airport was confusing. The signs to lead you to the rental drop off are confusing. When I found the drop off there was no staff and no return box for the keys and paperwork.
