My friend paid for the rental because I forgot my credit card and then I went back up there and switched out her card for my card and removed her from the reservation. I did not want her card being charged. She was charged 1 cent and I was told her card was removed and they charged this to remove the original hold. I was assured when I dropped the car back off that it was my card being charged. Nevertheless, my friend called me and she was charged. I wasted my time going all the way back up there the day of the rental pick up for nothing since this happened. Very disappointed.

The service at the pickup location was great and the car was perfect for our needs. The drop-off location was one of the most crowded and tight locations possible.

Passenger van
Pickup/dropoff was not where scheduled when paid for. Was called day before with location changed. Back off vehicle had flat tire and an interior panel laying in it, no washer fluid. Slde sliding door did not work properly. Had to be opened from inside most of the trip. Was told I could take it to airport to exchange no offer to get me another delivered. When complaint was filed before I left for trip was told I would get a partial refund. Have not seen it. Budget apparently really means budget customer care. Would never use them again!!!!

There were unexpected fees, and things not explained. I went to pick up the car but wasn’t allowed to use my debit card- I have no credit card and there were no other options or help offered. Luckily one of my passengers had a credit card. The toll system wasn’t explained and the fee for toll charges is outrageous. The rep at pickup was nice, but not hugely helpful. The rep at drop off was very good.

It was terrible, the customer service was poor. Our car broke down and they wouldn’t compensate us with a new one. Our reservation got screwed up so they said we had to rent a whole new car instead of just doing a vehicle exchange. Me receipt said jan 13 - jan 17 but for some reason the customer service reps kept saying that the vehicle was due on jan 14 and although I showed them my receipt with the proper information, they made us pay for a new car. And on top of that, they were rude as can be. This was the worst car rental experience of my life. I’m never using Avis again.

1) The car needed new wiper blades and it was hard to see in the rain due to bad streaking on the windshield. 2) All the glass on the inside was dirty and had a hazy film on it.
