Staff was very unhelpful. We had a reservation but as we were an hour or so late they said there was no longer a vehicle available for us. I have had issues with this location before and will never go back.

It was fine, the office there is a bit rough and untidy.The car smelled horribly of cigarette smoke and pot. It gave me a headache and I had to apologize to anyone ahead of time before they road in it.

The staff was courteous and the drop off was easy.We had to wait in line to pick up and to drop off, but it was not the fault of the staff. They were doing the best they could, but there was only one person working the desk.

Higher quality vehicle. the Mitsubishi Outlander had a rough ride, mediocre gas efficiency and after some reading found it to be sub par in safety. It would be better if you acquired more highly rated vehicles.

Terrible.This was the WORST customer service experience I have ever had--that is not hyperbole. I arrived early to pick up my rental vehicle and no one was at the counter. I said, "Hello, good morning!" so that anyone in the rear would be able to hear me. Tina came up from the back and asked if she could help me. I said that I was there to pick up my rental. She looked over both the Avis and Budget paperwork and told me she didn't have a car for me. I said that I had booked online and that I had a confirmation number. She said it didn't matter and she didn't have any cars available for me. I asked her how this could happen, and if she didn't in fact have a car for me, that she needed to assist me in locating one because I was CONFIRMED to have a vehicle. She said she wouldn't help me find a car. I protested and she said she would reach out to the airport to see if they had a car available and that she would get back to me later in the day if one came available. I said that was unacceptable and that she should make the phone call immediately--as I had been driven two hours south from Traverse City and was stranded without a vehicle. She made a phone call, left a message and said she'd have to see what they had to say. She made or took another call and at the conclusion of that call she said she would rent me a car--but it would have to be dirty because she didn't have time to clean it. Just wanting to get out of there and without any alternative I accepted. I completed the paperwork and went to the car which was VERY dirty. There was dog food all over the rear area, hair everywhere, fast food wrappers throughout and the vehicle REEKED of marijuana. Having no other option--I accepted the car. Shortly after getting underway I noticed also that the check tire pressure light was on. We pulled into a gas station and discovered that the pressure in the rear driver tire of our newly-rented vehicle was at 17PSI--it was supposed to be at 44PSI. What a SAFETY HAZARD! I do not understand how an owner/operator could send a vehicle out without being cleaned or safety checked. Based on the service I received I would never recommend Budget--especially this location to anyone.

Apparently there's no guarantee of an available carOnce the car arrived, everything was fine.I had reserved a car more than a month ahead of time to drive myself to the airport. The morning of my departure, an hour before I was supposed to pick the car up, the agent called and said there was no car available. She had absolutely no suggestions for alternative car sources and no idea what the company policy was on refunds or compensation. I had to spend an hour scrambling to find another way to get to the airport (a 3-hour drive away). Finally she called back and said they had a car for me after all. But this was pretty disconcerting!

Crazy rules and policies??The payment method is crazy!!! Your policies state any credit card used Must Match the name on the drivers license. I was told that simply wasn't true. I had a debit card with a $2,000 balance and that wasn't sufficient but when my wife's credit card with $100 available credit was added it was sufficient??? I purposely added money to my debit card to cover everything and didn't pay down my WIFES credit card because your rules said I couldn't use it. It's Very Scary traveling and not knowing what will be acceptable and what won't be. Everything the rules stated was opposite of the reality when I was at the desk! I liked that the car was available for me when I arrived, and that the front desk staff was so professional, efficient and friendly.Besides not being an older model (i.e. I needed an adaptor to charge my phone!), it had a"change oil" signal that continued to show every time I turned on the car. Very unnerving.
