I reserved a full size SUV to move my son into college, when I went to pick up the car I was told they didn’t have any vehicles, the employee did finally find me a minivan which I had to go pick up at a location about 20 minutes away. That car reeked of smoke, but at that point I had no choice but to take the vehicle as I needed it early the next morning. I will never again rent from them

The Staff was friendly and helpful. The New London branch accomodated my pick-up on Sunday morning in Groton since the Groton branch was closed on Sunday.The car had a faint odor of skunk. Better smelling cars would be good.

Service was terrible. They staff was extremely rude. Car broke during our trip to New Hampshire. It was 7 degrees outside. We were over charged for damage to the vehicle that we did not cause. No communication. We were directly lied to by the staff. I would not recommend enterprise to anyone.

we got the chevy spark as a Manager's Special! I would hate to see the Manager's "Not" special what an awful car and unfortunately a smokers car! It stank us out all the way to Bradley!

The car was too small for what we needed it for. It was dangerous on the highway because of its size the large trucks couldn’t see us and we were afraid for our safety. We tried to upgrade the car to get something bigger at a different location and were told they couldn’t help us and that it wasn’t their problem. There were no other cars available to rent In our area so we couldn’t cancel our rental and get something to else. When we called for help we were told to us the app which didn’t work and the app told us to call a rental location for help. Absolutely awful experience and we will never rent from Hertz again. If Hertz continues to treat their customers like this they will go out of business. Very disappointed.

I rented a Jeep Cherokee or similar to help my daughter move. I was offered a micro-suv that would not have been big enough. They had a 7 passenger Toyota 4 Runner which I accepted. The rate increased 150% to rent the same size car I previously booked. The suv had 57k miles on it and needed brake pads.

I received call and text the day before to confirm my 10am pick up time. When I arrived at that time no one from Hertz was there. Person arrived 20 min later and then it took 20 more min to get the car. John (Mgr?) from Riverhead office promised 15% off. Haven't seen it yet.Customer service. Ownership of issue.

The whole thing sucked!The rental dealership gave away all the cars before I got there, and never had the courtesy to call me to let me know -- all because I didn't show up at an arbitrary pickup time. I will never -- underscore NEVER -- deal with Hertz again!
